No one got stabbed and there was no violence. At close to midnight a police officer came by himself to speak with us. The police felt safe to let an officer do this by himself. I agree that if someone is stabbed then they can do this but no one got stabbed.

No assault or any other criminal act occurred. It was very peaceful and for this reason the police felt safe enough to allow one of their own to come and speak with the people close to midnight. We had three visits from the police that morning and they knew exactly what time the protestors were leaving. It was arranged with the event organiser.

I don't see how it can reasure you that they only stop and search guys that are regular peaceful protestors. One of the guys there has a art display on Parliament Square and often protests peacefully at Trafalgar Square. During the night the police spoke with most of these guys who are very peaceful.
