I've been trying to remember what the name of this game was for years and years. I haven't played this game for a good 15 years. Brings back a lot of memories. Thanks for this video! You're the man.
Wooo! Trip down memory lane! I loved the two-player version, usually my cousin and I would play together and would take turns to distract the enemies while the other one went for the treasure.
MY FAV C-64 Game ! I have it on a cartridge for Atari computer (homemade, etc) and it's same as 64.
I WISH TO GOD E.A. (or someone) would make an updated version of this simple-to-play, yet fun as anything game ! 2 player was GREAT as you can attract the bugs/zombies with one player and the other can almost roam free. TOTAL Co-operation/communication with nerve-racking intensity on the harder levels. THIS GAME IS CLASSIC - REMAKE IT E.A.!!! with Axis Assassin, Bird/Jordan, COMBO remake TRIO?
if you have a DS your lucky , cuz there is a game like this , not as fun as this , but a platformer which is almost the same , its called N+ , for the DS. Hope I helped ya.
Wasn't there a game on NES that played alot like this? going through different screens killing and avoiding strange kinds of enemys? Oh i remember it's "Legend of Zelda." In fact, this game looks like it plays exactly like it. So I know i'll enjoy it alot 'cuz Zelda is very addictive.
Man that brings me back to those carefree days when EA wasn't a souless corperation and along with companys like Epyx, Activison, Mastertronics and otherx did amazing orginal games like Realm of impossiblity, Hard hat mack, Racing destruction set, Dan Dare: Pilot of the future, Archon, Wasteland, and so many others, and you could fit a ton of games on a two sided 4 1/2 inch floppy.
It's because he's playing it on PAL (European standard) instead of NTSC (US/Japan standard). The video has a different refresh rate, and games back then depended on that for timing, so the easiest way to deal with it was to just change the speed of the game.
Thanks for sharing this great game. Nice display there. NTSC and NTSC C64s and other systems are faster than their Pal counterparts. NTSC machines run at 1.023 MHz and display 60 interlaced fields per second. Pal c64s run at .985 MHz and display 50 interlaced fields per second. So yes, the Pal system runs slower and you can hear it in music passages on home video game systems. U.S. movies run faster on the Pal system, but I'm out of space. Thanks for the video!
example: they promoted C&C 3:TW "limited edition" with features that would only be available on the LE version... it was $99.95 I and other pre-ordered it, it was in a basic DVD case just had a sticker on it with the number, then 1 month later they made the game $79.95 with the same features...so they ripped everyone off who pre-ordered the LE version. I'm a big C&C fan, but that was fucked up.
game looks like a ton of fun, soo far the best c64 game you showed me, please let me know when your back to mk games and that it will be for sega saturn this time cause I'm dying to know, I really want to buy them for saturn but it would be nice to know from you whether mk 2 to trilogy for sega saturn is worth the purchase, looking forward to seeing gryzor, contra is another favorite of mine I can't wait =)
Great !:)

When I was younger, this was one of my favorite C64 games. I really liked it when the player would be waving when you started and finished a level.

I would NEVER immagine playing a Commodore 64 game in widescreen! This game kicked ass along with Dark Tower.

but PAL is faster, he is saying they should be faster than what I am showing...that makes no sense! NTSC is slower.

PAL music played back is faster, trust me I emulate all music from all consoles and the PAL tracks are always faster, so it movie scores.
TotalMK 2 years ago
PAL sounds faster only if you play it back at NTSC speed.
