the p2 shouldnt even be compared to any ipods; p2's are up there in the sound quality department (they stack well against cowons) its not about the user interface and the extra options it gives, its about the sound quality. thats all that matters.
true; however, the 2g touch still lacks the customizable eq which is in my opinion very important for any mp3 player. being able to tweak lows mids and highs w/out the dependence of standard presets matters a lot to me. if i was to rate the 1st gen touch's sound quality, id give it a 6/10; with the 2nd gen itouch, id give it a 7.5/10 (which is a lil bit above average but not spectacular ). :) when samsung comes out with an mp3 palyer that supports wifi/browsing, it'd certainly be my next player

skullcandy earphones have great sound i use them with my p2 they are as good as some relly expensive earphones and have good bass and best part is i got themat target for only $13.49
if you are still using the stock headphones that came with the headphone, you're missing out. check bass-earphone [.] com for some insane in-ear headphones

for people who want cheap good headphones you can get a skullcandy for $13-15US depending on wut color u get. theyre in-ears and have as much bass as $30-40 in ears

Most iPods are, but the 2G touch is actaully surprisingly good... Soundstage from it, mids, bass and treble are quite rich... Odd, but surprising.
