Now, we have a different covenant and are not called to establish a theocracy. Under the new covenant we are told to love even our enemies and leave retribution to God Himself.

I didn't disregard the OT law, nor did I take anything away from it. You're the one doing that, when you forget about who is addressed. The OT law is addressed to the nation of Israël. You can't just take every text in the Bible and apply it to yourself, you need to look at who is being addressed. The same moral principle as laid down in the OT law are still true for me, but under the new covenant a believer is not under the law.

I know a lot of people make the same arguments that you do. But it is not in the Bible. I have read acts and Paul. it is not specifically stated. I mean if you want to get real technical Jer. 31:31 says that the new covenant is only for Israel and the house of Judah.

I see your point from Jer 31:31, but when you're a Christian and believe the Bible is the Word of God, you don't take up one verse and build your theology on that; you take the Bible as a whole. The OT is the basis of the NT, and the NT is the unfolding of the OT and in reference to the salvation of the Gentiles the NT says:

"(..) you were cut out of an olive tree that is wild by nature, and contrary to nature were grafted into a cultivated olive tree, (...)" Rom 11:25
