Ah, I liked the Guy Arab utility. We used to have them on school dinner run between St Luke's and St John's in Winton. Very noisy, with a whistling from the engine!
Very nice collection. I remember the old Southdown buses with alot of fondness. It's a shame Bournemouth never bought the old "Queen Marys" too. They seemed so much bigger and brighter than the old RTs that I used to get to school.
Why, oh why, did Bournemouth council dispense with trolley busses? As per usual the product of local government who, for once, would have done better in maintaining the status quo.
Thank you for puting your models on display. They're a great collection and brought back happy memories of us children helping the conductor and driver to push the trollies around on the turntable after school.
Thanks, Nigel. A great collection - a very worthy tribute to the buses of Bournemouth. Particularly liked the Open Top Conversion. Well done! The background settings to the pics also evoked memories of the scene!
