  • I have the same tank I am getting it up soon. But if you set that up in 5 weeks you are a god!

  • Good Luck!!!

  • hi i have a 10 gallon fresh water tank with a hood filter and i want to convert it to a reef tank i have cleaned everything out and have replaced the filter media what else do you recommend i do??? also what filtration do you use and is a hood filter ok

  • Ok great, start buying about 10 pounds of live sand and 10 pounds of live rock, the filter you already have should be ok, the real filter is the live rocks, also if you want to do a reef tank you need to upgrade your lights.

Let me know if you need more help. PS Make the sea water before you purchase your rocks.

  • Bellisimo!!!

  • Grazie!!!

  • Best litle tank in the world can u rite dwn the name of that plant ur clown fish loves thanx mate

PS Make sure you get Nemo.

  • WOW, what a sweet setup! Looks sooooooo GREAT! Going to do one for my 11 year old son for Christmas...

  • Have you had any problem with your dotty back attacking your shrimps?

I am transferring my fish from my biube into a bigger tank & i am thinking of taking the fish back as it attacked & killed the shrimps in the biube but i don't know if it was because of the size.

  • As the shrimp got sick/old my dotty back ate it.

  • this tank is a beauty! really cool how it isnt too big and you can set it anywhere

  • Thank you?

  • it is very nice.

  • Thanks!

  • is like a television and it shows a dokimanter about fishes:D

  • Thank you!

  • thanks bro.

  • Comment removed

  • Yup...that's what they are.

  • nem still alive under those lights?

  • Got rid of it a long time ago, got to big.

  • how is your starfish doing and would you recommend to get one?

  • My serpent star fish is doing great, my previous once died, I am not sure why, maybe not enough food in the tank for them to survive.

  • Is your pump all the way open? I replaced mine today

  • Yes!

  • today my bubbletip coral got stuck in the skimmer...needless to say he did not make it....I am not sure I will get another....I have a sebae that is doing good so far...

  • That's too bad!

  • Was any of your corals small when you purchased them?

  • Yes

  • What coral is that clown in?

  • It`s an Anemone.

  • @paolo333333 is it attached to the LR?

  • Are you using the original pump?

  • No, I replaced it with the maxyjet 900.

  • wowwwww

  • Thanks!

  • Where is you thermometer display at

  • I have a digital one and it's hanging off the back.

  • I see it now. Are you using the stock head?

  • What type of powerhead are you using ?

  • Are you using the stock lights ?

  • Yes I am and the powerhead is in the back chamber.

    P.

  • I noticed you do not have a power head?

  • Around $1500 or more.

  • hey quik question.. how much did you pay for everything?

  • does your 12G deluxe kit comes with LED Moonlights too?

I've read online it comes with LED lights, but I saw in a petstore that does not come with moonlight LEDs.

  • Yes it does, unfortunatelly if you put it on a timer it won't work became they are ion the same circuit of the main lights and will go both off together.

  • they are the stock lights with no fans

  • I have the same, my fans are broken, do you live on a very hot climate?

  • my god very amazing, i wish mine looked like this, im having heating problems, my lights over heat my tank, its the exact one as yours! 12 gal nano cube, i dont use the heater because the lights are to hot, please help me

  • Thank you!

Try to put the lights higher, are the lights metal halide?

  • Great!

    Good for you.

    Paolo

  • hi, i have a 12 gal nano aswell, with a perc clown and a 6 line wrasse 1 about 12 pounds of live rock!!!! i dont use a heater because my tanke over heats with the lights

  • EXCELLENT CLIP

  • Thanks!

  • wow! very nice. how do you manage to keep it soo clean free of coral line algae?

  • Thanks!

I just use a razor blade to scrub it off.

  • @paolo333333 hmmm i have the same tank, but the surfaces get scratched easily..

  • what do you do with all the coral that gets to big ,i don t know what to do with mine

  • Bring them back to the store for a small credit.

  • @ellarayhs You can try to frag the coral like cutting parts off the root and super gluing them to a small rock sell them or you can just put them some where else in the tank but if you frag them be sure to google it you can harm or kill your corals hope this helped

  • omg your clown looks mad happy

  • wow. most beautiful thing i have ever seen. mine looks like a junk in front of this beauty. i am jealous and impressed. good job..

  • Thank you!

I am sure yours is not that bad.

  • go mac! nice tank!

  • @MacBooker4444

    Thanks!!!

  • Also, Is this the standard nanocube? or the deluxe? just curious because of the light output difference on the two. thanks

  • I have the deluxe.

  • do you run into any problems with your anemone wandering around the tank, or stinging your corals at all in such a small space? only asking cause im starting up my nano this week and want one for my clowns to play in if possible and wasnt sure of the possiblility.. beautiful tank.

  • =0!!! so beautiful, roughly how much did it cost all together? im really interested in getting one of these seeing as i think im ready after having tropical fot the last 2 years.

  • Thanks youi!

I spent around $1500 if you want to go bigger for example 75 gallon you will need "with the tank is full of corals" about $7000.

  • thnx =)

  • great job nicest 12g nano ive seen

    keep it up

  • Thanks!

  • Hi paolo333333,

Very nice setup have the same JBJ 12G DX and love it. I want to add a skimmer and the one you have (oceanic bio cube protein skimmer) look to fit perfect am i right ? Also i noticed you have some other stuff to filter the water what are they ? In the two other compartments ? Thanks a lot !

  • Thanks! In the second compartment I had the 2 sponges but currently I filled with bio ceramic rings for even more biological filtration, I only left half of one of the sponges, on the third compartment I have the pump, the ceramic rings that came with the tank, the heater and the carbon bag.

  • @paolo333333

Ok Thanks a lot ! I taught if i get this skimmer i could remove all the other things (ceramic rings, sponges etc.)

This skimmer is bolt on right ? It fit good in the first compartment ? I just want to be sure cause i want the top to close properly :)

    Thanks !

  • The skimmer is on the left.

  • How is the availability of replacement parts for JBJ? I was thinking of purchasing the 28g nano that has 150w hqi mh lighting and stand with all filtration, protien skimmer and wave makers for $388. Sound too good to be true just wondering how the quality of these setups is.

  • we both have the same tank and computer haha! nice tank by the way.

  • Good taste..lol

  • how many watts is your light? beautiful tank! that is one happy clown fish!

  • Thank you!

I think is 48 w for both lights.

  • @paolo333333 thanks!

  • this is truly a beautiful set up..i hope mine goes this well..did you spend loads on ur corals and inverts?

  • Thanks! Unfortunately as you know everything in this hobby is extremely expensive but I think is worthed.

  • wow nice corals

  • Thanks!

  • Wow that clown was really diggin that anenome! Looked like he was having a good time in there ? Very very very nice tank!

  • Thank you!

  • THAT IS WOW! the best setup ever

  • Thank you!

  • nice aquarium

  • Thanks!

  • Probably kwlest tank ive ever seen, come check my tropical fishtank out at hiphoprockshow03

where do u get the coral reef and fish? they are amazing

  • all over the internet. special pet stores.

  • Hello, I just got a 12 gal nano cube and noticed that you put the Bio Cube skimmer on it. So you moved the sponge over to the next compartment and than put everything else in the compartment with the pump and heater right? Very nice tank by the way.

  • Yup, working good so far.

    PS That`s an Oceanic skimmer.

    Good luck!!!

  • is your clown happy in a 12 gallon? Iv'e seen so many other people say the need a 30 gallon min.

  • Yes it is, they have no problem in smaller tanks.

  • thanks so much!

  • No problem.

  • Did you have to upgrade your lighting in order to have the anenome? I just bought a 24 gallon nano and wanted to have a anenome but was unsure if i would have to upgrade my lighting.

  • No, my nano has very good lights, also depends on how deep it is, you should be ok.

  • thanks a lot for getting back to me . i have tried looking all over the web and have only found sites that say different things. Some are saying i would have to upgrade my lights before i could have a anenome. But thanks for the info i think i am going to give it a try. also, wanted to add that your tank looks great.

  • Thanks!

    Good luck

PS. Try to buy small one, they grow so fast and touch your corals.

  • Forget the question about the skimmer, I saw it.

  • It seems like all the reef tanks I see have a lot of current, what is the reasoning behind this? I would think the fish would get exhausted. Also, is there a miniature skimmer under that hood, I thought all reef tanks need a skimmer.

  • You definatelly don`t want to have too much current blowing in the same spot at all time, the right way would be to have alternate currents.

  • hey i have a video request. can you make a video on how to change the filter and stuff

  • There is no filter to be changed only the sponges needs to be rinced and the carbon replaced.

  • thx

  • wow that is a real nice setup . You did so much with a 12 gallon tank . Never thought this would be possible . Cool fish too. Does it cost alot to maintain?

  • Thank you!

Actually no, you just need to do a water change every 7-10 days and in between you need to add all the elements like calcium etc and clean the glass every so often.

  • Hello. I love all your videos. You have motivated me into setting up a nano reef. I've done alot of research through alot of forums on the internet. Everyone reccomends this and that and i cannot get a clear answer. Your videos alone are "proof" of what works and whats does not. Everything in your tank looks so healthy. When you do your water changes, do you use normal tap water with some solution drops to remove chlorine, ammonia, ect..or do you use store bought water and/or RO water?

  • Thank you!

I use my own RO water, you can also use distilled water, never never use tap water, it will only give you problems like algae and poor conditions for fish and coral.

  • hey, I have a question how do you keep your anenomes so health mine tend to die often D:

  • Good lighting and exceptional water quality.

  • Thank you

  • Im usually not interested in the fish, (although they are stunning) I am WAY more interested in the healthy colony of purpule zoas. I know they are easy to raise, but im still so fasinated with them. What your doing here is top notch! Keep it up!

  • Hi, thank you very much.

Actually the stand came with the tank, if you go to Big Al`s they probably still have that deal on. At the bottom of the tank you don`t need to put anything.

Let me know if you need any help on setting it up.

    Paolo

  • First I would like to say you have an excellent tank sir! Second, what stand do you have for the tank? I'm looking to get the JBJ 12 gallon and the stand you have for yours looks top notch! I notice that you have it on a hard, flat surface. How would you think that stand would fare on berber carpet? Thanks in advance for any info you can divulge and just wanted to let you know that your setup has been an inspiration for me to get in the hobby! Thanks!

  • Sure I will in the next video.

  • Hey. Do you think you can make a tour of your room? So far everything you've got is cool. My favorite computer and a nano cube.

    -Don

  • that is excellent for 5 weeks old

  • Thanks!!!

  • i think its hard.. you change water every week? the water your using is the salt(for tank) + water= saltwater? is that safe? and what should be the ph? alkaline every detail.. can you state it? :)

  • once a month even though you change water every week?

  • You should even after a wile you can tell if your tank is doing ok so you can then check it every couple of months.

  • How much total money did it cost you?

How many fish are allowed in a 12 gal?

im about to buy Nano Cube Deluxe 12gall

  • I spent around $1500, I would only put 2 - 3 small fish.

    Good luck!!!

  • whats a ph buffer? do you need to check the ph tests everyday?
