  • @IIChibiWolf let me guess, they like avenged sevenfold, bullet for my valentine, etc. etc.?

  • Just learned this one on bass, took me at least half an hour. Dirk Lance was goood.

  • That was SOME thursday night

  • Fucking love this. <3 Wished they played it last night in concert!

  • 4 bieber fans detected

  • U can't deny true talent... Their music is perfect on the scales Brandon Boyd is a genius... Bands like faith no more got lots of attention.. Nothing wrong with attention from the media it's gonna happen they have a good sound

  • whats wrong with being in the public eye? You just compared a rock n roll band to Justin beiber or however you spell his name... dude ur making no sense... what was wrong with pearl jam... chili peppers.. go back to tom petty... back further to CCR ... the radio is a great means of getting ur music out there.. people care way too much what other people think

  • how did he come up with this bass line hahahahaha

  • "mmm... music"

  • Just makes you realise how shit bands and artists like justin beiber or ke$ha are today.... : (

  • @TheSquidKiller trust me this song didn't convince me those artists blow hard. Damn it I don't want to get into it, but would you believe that at one time Incubus was in the public eye as much as Justin Bieber, but the difference is that they didn't stay there. People may say that is because they were just another teen sensation but if you really investigate incubus you'll find they didn't like being owned by sony

  • WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THIS BAND??? This is a utterly amazing song but now they are shit!

  • @TheSquidKiller people constantly change dude. people always look for something new. :)

  • @TheSquidKiller Incubus is known for constantly changing, As for me personally, i still think they are amazing. Deep and intense.

  • @TheSquidKiller FOOL

  • @TheSquidKiller its that the music industry changed and tried its hardest to shift out funk metal and funky jazz rock completely from the popular music scene

  • This is the shit

  • 4 people's heads went zippitykrack @#$% dang!

  • I'm sorry, but how the FUCK could anyone possibly dislike this? WHAT THE FUCK SOCIETY?!?!?

  • 3 persone sono sorde

  • Exactly 3:40 into "Azwethinkweiz", a hidden message of Boyd saying something backwards can be heard: "Thursday night, we smoked indica, and "azwethinkweiz" was born." -Wikipedia.

Dude I love incubus, they deserve way more than what they actually got. Been a fan since 5th grade, when my cousin gave me Drive. Then, I was obsessed and got Morning View which was a great album!

  • lol i love brandons dad on the cover

  • I was 2 when this was out! I'm unhappy that my parents didn't know who they were! :L

  • who the fuck is that fuckin guy always fuckin shows up in the fuckin album of my fuckin incubus?! i dream of him and its a nightmare! fuck when someone says incubus that face pop in my mind!

  • @napenzki his name is chuck

  • this song makes me want to play funk

  • It take years for me to know the title of this song... ahahahahahah..... way back in highschool..... XD

  • who is that guy on their cover?

  • @SeriosG78

    that's brandon, bro. lol

  • @TonyTheTigre100 that couldn't be

  • @TonyTheTigre100 you mean the lead singer??? it looks nothing like him.

  • @SeriosG78

I believe so. It's only cuz of the make-up, guys.

Kinda like how Johnny Knoxville does his gigs

    as the senior citizen-get up.

  • @TonyTheTigre100 umm no lol it's "chuck", not brandon. there's an interview on youtube somewhere where brandon and mike are talking about it. I think it's called "who is chuck"

  • @pompisXD

ohhhh, hell yeah it is. lmao

only more to find out he definitely

has his old man's looks, when he modeled

    just subtract the moustache XD

  • Dirk Lance was the shit. damn.

  • BRING BACK ALEX!!

  • PRIKITIEW!

  • ....this was uploaded 10/24...sweet

  • personally i think that the old stuff, even as a ripoff of rhcp is good, and so is their good stuff, but the mesh of the 2 eras. still heavy but to introduce their new flavor, make yourself is their best album.

  • ha incubus now = hoobastank poo

  • its something about the way Brandon Boyd strung his vocab together in the early Incubus era that i like better than the newer stuff, he sustains notes way more often in the newer stuff. it was more about ripping a wicked rhyme

  • reminds me of frank zappa

  • there's some seriously good improv scatting going on from 1:47 to 1:48

  • Comment removed

  • i like their old bass players style better than the guy they got now, anyone know who the moustache guy on the cover is? he's on alot of their stuff

  • @donkeyface69 i been wondering the same thing. his name is chuck! watch this:

    youtube.com/watch?v=mmgs7kX8-rQ

  • @donkeyface69 brandon's dad

  • When I hear this song it makes my sad to think about how far south Incubus has gone. They are such garbage now.

  • Genious lyrics. Incubus kills it everytime :)

  • BEST SONG EVER XDDDDD

    it makes me laughXDD

oh yah, err, their new stuff is great too, not just their old stuff! each album changes and is never the same as the last, its all AWESOME! i will always be an incubus fan!

  • Izthinkincubusizamazin

  • sudden urge to grow a manly moustache now

  • holy crap i like old school incubus

  • i love the song <3

  • Incubus rocks. Period. ;D

  • awesome

  • yeah, I'm sure a lot of their stuff was written while they were on drugs haha. and I agree, every single one of their albums is so different, but amazing in it's own way. They all have their own vibe about them. I'd have to say fungus amongus is my favorite genre of Incubus, it's so funky and makes you want to go smoke a bowl or eat some shrooms haha andI don't even know how to explain the feel of s.c.i.e.n.c.e., but it's tied with FA as my favorite CD of theirs. Ahh I fucking love Incubus..

  • Whether or not you like their newer stuff, every single album is different than the last. That's very hard to do regardless.

  • Mushrooms!

  • they wrote this song when they were high. LMAO!

  • Damn.. I wish they wrote alll of their songs when they were high. THis song is so sick.

  • @insanephil Don't most musicians do a lot of things while high?

  • Sounds like the Chilli Peppers!

  • so did anyone know that dirk is now in this band called

    Willie's Nerve Clinic

  • @nightshade322 Yeah, and they are pretty cool. REALLY nice people too.

  • that part at 1:47 is amazing, he sings like scat man

  • Exactly 3:40 Boyd saying something backwards can be heard: "Thursday night, we smoked indica, and azwethinkweizm was born."

  • @DannnnyF Are you sure bout the backwards thing?

  • @MalnoorManUfan yepp ive listened to it search for a video of it i think they had one on youtube

  • Some of this album kind of reminded me a bit of The Chili Peppers.

  • you're right man

  • fuckin exactly!! like early fast funk chili peppers, i fuckin love it

  • @rickman33 Slap bass mother-licker

  • @rickman33 Other way around. 8)

  • @SuicideShaun ??? I'm not 100% sure which comment that was a reply to, but just to clarify, the RHCP had been around for quite some time before Incubus.

  • this is such a mr.bungle rip off back in the day brandon was just ripping off mike patton listen to squeeze me macaroni by mr.bungle and you will get what im saying

  • @hefra344 Yes- I can definitely hear it. Boyd's vocals sound very similar as well. Maybe that's why I liked old Incubus A LOT more than what they are now.

  • @hefra344 not ripping off dude, influenced by... thats how music evolves!!! I love Incubus :)

  • @natash141 no back then what he was doing was ripping off of mike patton because this is when faith no more and mr. bungle were still making music so you can only take so much influence from a band that is out at the same time as yours

  • @hefra344 lol... maybe , now that you pointed it out, i never grew up ln the 90's so i forgot to think about that.. lol, but atleast they picked up a distinctive sound down the road

  • @natash141 yea

  • @rickman33

RHCP sucks dicks compared to this good underrated band! Mr. Bungle is godlike and amazing too, and can destroy RHCP sorry butt anyday! <3

  • @Brollyhero99TOP10 Incubus underrated? Not quite. They've gotten a lot of exposure and recognition. As far as musical talent goes, I'm sure they would get more recognition if their music was more complex, but they seem to not really try to push the envelope too much any more. It's too bad Incubus didn't stick a little bit closer to the jazzy sound they had going (like, with Deep Inside)- I really dug it. Now, they tend to stick closer to a cleaner, pop sound. Still good, but not demanding.

  • @rickman33 why is one of the highest rated comments? 1 rhcp are dicks 2 incubus are far more talented 3 just why?

  • @BoddhasServants It actually isn't arguable whether RHCP or Incubus are more talented. Flea, mind you, is more than just one of the most kick-ass bassists but a kick-ass trumpet player as well. Their guitarists have been no slouches- most notably, John Frusciante, who one can also argue is one of the best guitarists of the last 20 years. RHCP may be assholes- I don't think that detracts from the fact that some of Enjoy sounds like RHCP, and that RHCP have had some VERY talented musicians.

  • @rickman33 i guess what i meant was that keidis is a dick...flea, frusciante, and chad smith are all great musicians, and yea maybe enjoy is similar to rhcp stuff but it's a genre of music...there are always gonna be some bands that sound similar. i'd choose incubus over rhcp anyday. but you are correct, they're not untalented..

a lot of their music sounds the exact same to me though.

  • @rickman33 Yeh I have to agree

  • WILBO!!! Lynch told me that you uploaded this song, so I had to post =) hope you're doing ok!! [kiss]

  • the enjoy incubus guy looks identical to my grade 12 science teacher.... ironic....

  • WILBO!!!!!!!!! Hahaha fancy seeing you're the one who added this.

  • bad ass song! i could bump this all day lol

  • im not sure what i enjoy more the song (which is awesome) or the front cover...i cant help but smile when i look at that guy :D

  • i'm stoned. love the song though,

  • Fungus amungus EP is older than enjoy no?

  • Yes, but Fungus isn't an EP, it's an album.

  • @wilbo421 Yep, you got it right. They made this so they had something physical to sell whilst on tour in Europe.

  • @wilbo421 Yea, it was like their local LP. Enjoy Incubus was their post label EP.... I think.

  • correct

  • @mic875

Yes, it is older than Enjoy. Some of the Enjoy songs are just better recorded versions than on Fungus and done with A DJ where Fungus did not have one. This song however is an original that was released on Enjoy.

  • @mic875 Fungus Amongus was the first incubus album in 1995

  • @mic875 Yes, but fungus was recorded with another company, that's why Enjoy has a few song from the Fungus

  • The old incubus is the best :D

  • omgaaa reminds me of my favorite band rchp.soo funky and beast =) <3 incubus

  • i was so high on schrooms last time i heard this song, i couldn't decide to take the train, or walk home.... so i must have walked back and forth from the train station to the grocery store around the corner about 10 times.

this song made me feel like i was in a video game.

  • You trip on shrooms not get high

  • Yeah AMAZING!! OLD INCUBUS RULES!!

  • I don't think Incubus has ever made a song I don't like... newer stuff, this stuff, stuff inbetween... Love it all and it all sounds a little different.

  • Have to agree

  • Comment removed

  • THIS was Incubus

  • Yes, it was Incubus. The current stuff they're doing is also Incubus, almost moreso than this, because it's more original. Incubus themselves have admitted they were ripping off several artists (RHCP, Mr Bungle) in this era.

  • @wilbo421

  • @wilbo421 Primus... big time!

  • @wilbo421 in my opinion RHCP is a whole different genre of music themselves. Saying Incubus ripped of RHCP is like saying Metallica ripped off metal... :L

  • @wilbo421 Its hard to believe that Incubus was the ones that ripped off those guys since these even songs from incubus' first album are better than any songs from those you mentioned.

  • @wilbo421 You're a legend mate. There are so many Incubus listeners living in the past. It's all brilliant music, but you've explained it perfectly there

  • @gOnStrat this IS Incubus

  • INCUBUS KICKAZYAKNOW!! lolz

  • Mainstream or not, they still have better songs than most groups today. They chose to evolve and grow musically. It was their choice and all of it is good.

  • 2:47-2:52 os cool vocal part :)

  • everything they do mainstream or not is them so like it or leave it...

  • omg, these were their best years, they generaly evolved into a mainstream band which was disappointing

  • These were there writing about shit days

  • no, I wouldn't say they've sold out yet. I only say that because they're still talented.

  • suck cock

  • Morning view might be one of the best cds i ever bought, you can really relax listening to some of the tracks, but science and make yourself are way better

  • Wow...I've never heard of anyone not liking Morning View. It's possibly my favourite Incubus album.

  • It's because many believe that they got "soft" after that album, which in ways is somewhat true.

Old Incubus isn't the same as the newer one, but you can't do anything about bands evolving.

  • Comment removed

  • @wilbo421 Mine, too. Listened to it this morning and watched the light creep in the windows bit by bit.

  • @wilbo421 Completely agree man. It has the most chill songs on it like Are You In? and Echo. Those are some of my favorite.

  • @wilbo421

Both "eras" of Incubus are pretty damn awesome, but many of their earlier fans felt the sudden switch of styles between S.C.I.E.N.C.E. and Morning View as a betrayal. I have a different perspective, since I got into them only recently, but I can see where they're coming from. As for Morning View in particular, though I like many of the songs on it (11 AM is especially good), the album as a whole just doesn't have a very good flow.

  • @FoxGroundsman Actually, if you think about it, Make Yourself was a nice blend of the craziness of S.C.I.E.N.C.E. and the flow that Morning View had. I like to think of the so called "eras" simply as progressions from this into what they are now. I don't think is was very sudden, but that's just my opinion.

  • @StripMyWorldAway I like Make Yourself much better than Morning View, actually, and I sort of agree, though I think A Crow Left of the Murder is even more like that. Also, the craziness is a little different, especially in the bass. There's just no more of that outrageous funk sound, even where the composition is strong.

  • @FoxGroundsman the switch of styles between S.C.I.E.N.C.E n Morning view seems drastic cuz ur forgetting that there was an amazing album inbetween....

  • @crappybassplayer What was that? I've never heard of it, but I sure would like to.

  • @crappybassplayer the best album inbetween

  • wow, you must have shallow taste, i would say i speak on behalf of many that Morning view was one of their top 3 albums

  • This little EP is probably some of the best stuff they ever did, fast jazz rock, crazy beats, slapping bass and amazing lyrics compared to their more commercial lovey stuff.

  • This song is an acid trip and a half.

Incubus has to be my favorite band of all time.

  • Are these guys the best or what? They rule!

  • Comment removed

  • the genius of Incubus is that none of their albums sound the same, not even close

  • well i do agree music these days sucks, but i also just went to an incubus concert 8/24/09, and they played a lot of good old morning view and ACLOFTM stuff so at least they still play there good shit

  • They played TONS of SCIENCE in Utah! it was badass!!

  • too bad acloftm sucked and all the stuff before morning is way better....i would love to see incubus back before morning when they were bad fucking ass not over played on the radio famous

  • You sir, are fucking retarded.

  • they arent over played on the radio dumbass.

  • Haven't you heard any of Fungus or Enjoy Incubus? Or SCIENCE for that matter...

  • No WAY! they're old music is FILLED with slapstick bass!

  • lmao nice
