I pulled my wisdom tooth yesterday morning. It hurt bad. I couldnt take pain anymore. No sleep, no eating,no drinking, just pain pain pain, it was corroded to the nerve, Listerine helped. I got siked up and made some chisels out of wood, got hammers, pliers ,mirror, flash light.I hit and hit, I got it loose,it still wouldn't come out, finally when I did get it out, I saw the root was bent,curved under, I pulled with the pliars,scared the tooth would shatter,then POP-it was out!PAIN IS BAD
wisdom tooth extractions is a scam!, only do it if it is ruining your other teeth..otherwise leave it alone. I have the 4 wisdom tooth.. one of them have a operculum that gets inflamed from time to time but my dentist says that it is okay.
All 4 at once... not fun, gotta be so careful when you're eating, drinking... generally doing anything.
I just had one taken out and that's bad enough. Though, this one did actually fracture the jaw, it's still oozing blood 24 hours later and the blood clot feels tenuous at best. At least this time the dentist waited for the anaesthetic to take effect before starting work this time.
Fuck dentists. I hate how they make you sign papers so you can't sue them when they fuck up or act unprofessionally. My dentist was sick when I had an emergency for an infection, so his partner saw me. He insulted me, said it was only my fault, and that I'd have to live with the misery until it clears up. No antibiotic, no pain medication. I have to pay out of pocket for my dentist visits.
Thanks. I've had to go without paying my satellite bill for four months to pay for insults. Cruel world.
@munkeynut u can choose that anasthesia if u want, i chose just local novacaine, so i was awake during it. u dont feel nething, just lotta pushing and stuff, and u can hear the teeth cracking when they take it out lol

tonsils are nothing to my wisdoms....they had to pound the shit out of them with this chisel thing cause my bottom jaw is too small.....wow that shit SUCKED!
I had a corneal transplant 2 weeks ago and I must say the pain is less than having all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled. You don't take Vicodin for this surgery only Tylenol(:
@Amarian86 it actually went well. Turns out my tooth was growing in the right direction and had enough space, so they didn't take it out. Just gave me some antibiotics and that was it.
of god after the docs gave anesthesia it was pretty relieving , i though it is the most bearable surgery but after 40 or 50 min when the anesthetic effect was gone ,i was like oh god and started making resolution to save me .

@Jay21Nov You don't always have to get them out but it's a good idea. If you get xrays they'll tell you if you have to or not. You don't have to be put to sleep, but I recommend it.

@amalou2 I had my tonsils out last year, I was 32. Very painful and the healing process was long, seriously took weeks. Also, the ice cream thing is a myth. I was allowed fruit juice popsicles but no dairy products as dairy products can cause phlegm which can cause coughing which can rip your stitches open. I wish my doctors had the sense to take mine out as a child- as you heal so much faster.

i think you people who get to have all 4 taken out at once are lucky. I just recently had my top 2 removed and the surgery is nothing. Its the recovering that is horrible and annoying, and im going to have to do it a second time probably.

Here's my 2 cents: get your widsom teeth out AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! I was scared so I waited too long. I had to have all 4 removed. Because I waited too long, they were impacted and it made the surgery harder. Plus, they pushed my teeth together and now I'm in braces because of it. Just do it and get it over with already! It's not that bad. I actually felt AMAZING when I came out of the anasthesia. It was like, the best feeling EVER! HAHAHA....I was so relaxed and happy!
Jeeez I only wish it could have been like this for me! I was wide awake during the procedure, which hurt like hell by the way, and could feel very intense pain the entire time. I got prescribed Hydrocodone, which doesn't do much for me, I learned. And I 100% completely remember everything!

its nice being put to sleep, dont have to worry bout a thing until you wake up and you have no idea where you are or whatever you were dreaming about went, or the amounts of gauze stuffed in your mouth. then its hell from then on
meh dont worry about it, you wont even realize you left by the time you are aware of things goin on. take your meds normally and you wont feel a thing for the entire time your healing.
I remember leaving the office. I did pretty good. I know i needed help walking and standing and I don't remember even about to go under one min i was there next min they are sitting me up and there's gauze in the back of my mouth and they are walking me to recovery and there is a band aide where the IV was at and it was no bed it was a regular dentists chair and they just sat me in that lol
you're a trooper.....i had six of them strange enough. i had them removed yesterday. they don't hurt, but not being able to smoke cigarettes is painful enough.
lol yeah i smoked a couple days after surgery, but i made sure i wouldnt get dry sockets cuz i took a piece of gauze, soaked it in water, and kept my jaw held shut
Your experience looks a lot more pleasant than mine was. I had all four out, and I hated my life for a good five days or so. I really wasn't given enough vicodin because I was still in pain when I ran out, but fortunately a friend of mine had some to spare XD
sometimes even if they grow all the way it depends on how big your mouth is they have to pull mine because it would fuck up my teeth i have a super small mouth and no extra teeth can be in there XD
You poor thing- I had mine out last week, in the chair it was the worst thing I have done in my life. I couldn't close my mouth to start with and I kept drooling blood every where. I looked way worse than you-you lucky thing.
That sucks they didn't stitch your mouth up after your were done. My friend had all four of hers out too a few years ago and they didn't stitch her after they took them out and she told me one day she went to take a nap and then she woke up and there was blood all over her pillow
well 99% of the time you DO get stitches, you have to have stitches to close up the cuts if your wisdom teeth are fully grown / ready to pop out. the blood (whether or not you get stitches), is completely normal. yes, the first two days suck sooo bad.
yeah it suuuuucks because your stuck eating a lot of ice cream and stuff at first i was like oh cool and then i really missed being able to eat the foods i really love to eat well i love ice cream of course, but on that friday, i got to eat tomato soup! and i had to eat vanilla ice cream too, and mom then got me Neopolitan and also chocolate pudding and jello too!
i had the bottom 2 taken out about a week ago and it sucks. it looks like they gave her waay more medacation than they gave me i woke up when they were taking the last one out and putting stiches in and then i had to call in to get more pain pills

I have difficulty opening my mouth to the extreme.I have head akes. They gave me penicilline for antibioics and codeine iburofene for pain. It doesn't hurt anymore really but it feels like a tickle in my jaws and drives me nutts. It stopped bloating and do you think with rest and sleep it will help the sweelinng of throat going away? Do you guys take salty water to garggle? My fac is o round now and normally I have heart shaped face. It will go back to normal rihgt?

I got mine removed last wednesday, My face was swelling but a two days after it stopped, though it swelled a little bit down my throat so there was a little tiny bump I had trouble swollowing and breathing completely, I went to teh dr adn the nusr said I was fine no breathing problem.
last time i had 2 wisdoms out my biggest problem was starving the death. the pain was bearable the worst part of it is when u gotta clamp gauss down for ages to stop the bleed. when you cant feel if you got it down on the right spot ect.

@Jay21Nov You don't always have to get them out but it's a good idea. If you get xrays they'll tell you if you have to or not. You don't have to be put to sleep, but I recommend it.

not its not pain full, i recommend to get put to sleep during the process i actually got mine out this morning all 4. I feel great but all i eat is yogurt and bananas haha so get put under if ur gunna get them out

@amalou2 I had my tonsils out last year, I was 32. Very painful and the healing process was long, seriously took weeks. Also, the ice cream thing is a myth. I was allowed fruit juice popsicles but no dairy products as dairy products can cause phlegm which can cause coughing which can rip your stitches open. I wish my doctors had the sense to take mine out as a child- as you heal so much faster.

im in gauze right now. i just accidently bled salivad on the couch. lol. totally gross. i have no appetite. i don't even feel like eating. I had them pulled because i got my braces off and to prevent them from getting messed up and overcrowded, this surgery had to be done. I wasn't scared for the most part. I was like...no one is ever excited to go get their teeth pulled. so we just gotta deal. :) lol. hopefully i can talk normally tomorrow. thanks for your vid. -mia

i think you people who get to have all 4 taken out at once are lucky. I just recently had my top 2 removed and the surgery is nothing. Its the recovering that is horrible and annoying, and im going to have to do it a second time probably.

Here's my 2 cents: get your widsom teeth out AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! I was scared so I waited too long. I had to have all 4 removed. Because I waited too long, they were impacted and it made the surgery harder. Plus, they pushed my teeth together and now I'm in braces because of it. Just do it and get it over with already! It's not that bad. I actually felt AMAZING when I came out of the anasthesia. It was like, the best feeling EVER! HAHAHA....I was so relaxed and happy!

Jeeez I only wish it could have been like this for me! I was wide awake during the procedure, which hurt like hell by the way, and could feel very intense pain the entire time. I got prescribed Hydrocodone, which doesn't do much for me, I learned. And I 100% completely remember everything!

meh dont worry about it, you wont even realize you left by the time you are aware of things goin on. take your meds normally and you wont feel a thing for the entire time your healing.

I remember leaving the office. I did pretty good. I know i needed help walking and standing and I don't remember even about to go under one min i was there next min they are sitting me up and there's gauze in the back of my mouth and they are walking me to recovery and there is a band aide where the IV was at and it was no bed it was a regular dentists chair and they just sat me in that lol

lol yeah i smoked a couple days after surgery, but i made sure i wouldnt get dry sockets cuz i took a piece of gauze, soaked it in water, and kept my jaw held shut

Your experience looks a lot more pleasant than mine was. I had all four out, and I hated my life for a good five days or so. I really wasn't given enough vicodin because I was still in pain when I ran out, but fortunately a friend of mine had some to spare XD

sometimes even if they grow all the way it depends on how big your mouth is they have to pull mine because it would fuck up my teeth i have a super small mouth and no extra teeth can be in there XD

You poor thing- I had mine out last week, in the chair it was the worst thing I have done in my life. I couldn't close my mouth to start with and I kept drooling blood every where. I looked way worse than you-you lucky thing.

That sucks they didn't stitch your mouth up after your were done. My friend had all four of hers out too a few years ago and they didn't stitch her after they took them out and she told me one day she went to take a nap and then she woke up and there was blood all over her pillow

well 99% of the time you DO get stitches, you have to have stitches to close up the cuts if your wisdom teeth are fully grown / ready to pop out. the blood (whether or not you get stitches), is completely normal. yes, the first two days suck sooo bad.

yeah it suuuuucks because your stuck eating a lot of ice cream and stuff at first i was like oh cool and then i really missed being able to eat the foods i really love to eat well i love ice cream of course, but on that friday, i got to eat tomato soup! and i had to eat vanilla ice cream too, and mom then got me Neopolitan and also chocolate pudding and jello too!

i had the bottom 2 taken out about a week ago and it sucks. it looks like they gave her waay more medacation than they gave me i woke up when they were taking the last one out and putting stiches in and then i had to call in to get more pain pills

ugh so i jus got my wisdom teeth pulled out last friday.. thank god i was knockd out.. didnt get swollen but i got dry socket and im still in pain!! vicodin didnt work at all.. lookn forwrd to bein able to eat more then milkshakes and yogurt.. can barely even open my mouth.. sucks

I have difficulty opening my mouth to the extreme.I have head akes. They gave me penicilline for antibioics and codeine iburofene for pain. It doesn't hurt anymore really but it feels like a tickle in my jaws and drives me nutts. It stopped bloating and do you think with rest and sleep it will help the sweelinng of throat going away? Do you guys take salty water to garggle? My fac is o round now and normally I have heart shaped face. It will go back to normal rihgt?

I got mine removed last wednesday, My face was swelling but a two days after it stopped, though it swelled a little bit down my throat so there was a little tiny bump I had trouble swollowing and breathing completely, I went to teh dr adn the nusr said I was fine no breathing problem.

last time i had 2 wisdoms out my biggest problem was starving the death. the pain was bearable the worst part of it is when u gotta clamp gauss down for ages to stop the bleed. when you cant feel if you got it down on the right spot ect.

I had mine removed and it FUCKING SUCKED ABIG FAT ONE! It was the worst experience I've ever had. I compare it to 2 things in my life. I was in Iraq in The Marine Corps and I've had my wisdom teeth out. Iraq was worse but not by much.
