I bought this a couple of days ago, but I was disappointed when it comes to the sound quality. I tried using my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, Galaxy S2 phone, my laptop, my friend's iPhone and my Cowon J3 MP3player. The sound has compression artifacts, and sounds "metallic". I hooked it up to different stereo systems, and also directly to headphones and earbuds. It's OK for occasional use, but wouldn't recommend it as a primary wireless connection between your BT enabled device and your stereo.
I will be buying me a bose companion 5 tomorrow and is intentionally for computers. I juss plan on using it for music on mah iPhone, thanks to this I won't be needing to leave the iPhone connected and laying there... This is awesome!!! My neighbors are gonna hate me haha :D
What about the sound quality?is it the same as the wired? I bought an e-blue bluetooth reveiver similar to that of belkin but i'm really dissapointed about the sound quality. It was terrible.
@09164829168 The sound quality is amazing. I have never heard of an e-blue system, but the Belkin is great. I have a very good sound system, and I can't tell the difference between plugged in and not.
for the avarige user it's great, but for someone who relly cares about sound quality this thing is awful really awful it sounds horrible it has an echo effect and sounds like it was recorded through a pipe. my sonyericsson bluetooth headset is way better. sorry i just can't recommend this.
are you sure this works with any media player, or audio source, like inetrnet audio? this is sold from apple store, and apple usually don't sell items that play music from any player.
@TheMOWGLITV It uses bluetooth. So anything that has bluetooth (more recent ones, from about 2004 on) can use it. And Apple does sell audio devices that aren't Apple only. Most of the speakers at the Apple store have an auxiliary input.
This has been the best review so far. I was unsure if I wanted to get this because of the fact that I am getting and iPod touch 4g and you just answered all of my questions.
@memph33777 I am playing the music from the iPod to the receiver itself. The receiver is hooked up to speakers via the cable (white) that it plugged into it.
i really thought this device is portable. so that i could use it in a car or bring it to a party, but WTF you need to plug in the power all the time?! sucks. IT SHOULD Have a buiilt in battery! damn belkin
@LookMaNoBrains They do have car compatible devices; my cousin has one. This is designed to be a solution to a "wireless home theater/sound system" problem. The portable, or car receiver, works very well and very much like this one.

What happens if there's two devices playing music to the receiver? Perhaps it only allows one at a time...

@3117ss It will steam any audio coming from your computer. It is as if you plug in headphones, except it is wireless.

The best, most informative review of this device I have seen. I will be buying this today from Amazon for under $30. Thanks for the nice review.
