For the last example, can anyone explain why a slower transition wave (the triangle wave) solved the capacitance problem between the pins? Is it because the slower transition didn't allow the 'capacitor' to charge?
Bravo. I wish I had a professor like him during my college years. What I like most about the lecture is the use of intuition. Surely you need to be intuitive when it comes to real world problems. Thank you MIT and youtube for giving us this learning opportunity.

So I transferred from my indian university, and paid nearly $30k / year worth of tuition fees to enroll in mit, and to have this guy lecture us...Wow, I really feel pathetic. :S
The reason is obvious, mit being one of the most prestigious american universities...if not the most, and the fact that I didn't like my university in india which I felt was hindering my potential. So I transferred, and pretty much got just what I expected - quality education. If you didn't realize, my previous post was out of irony.
Let me understand. What do you expected? I have a B.S.E.E and I garduated in 1989. The level of instruction is provided is much better then what I had in 1989. That is why I would like to know what is it that is lacking as far as the instruction is concerned.
Still MIT is regarded one of teh best in U.S and the graduate command good starting salary.
Also remember, University are allways behind real world. When you graduate from university, you will be way behing the real world experience.
@mwdavis I need to take breaks and read the book/ lecture notes between lectures to get a better understanding... but midterm 40 hours away, not too much time left......
