For those who are eco-conscious, Audi makes the most fuel efficient production vehicles. Their base model A4 gets 51mpg! Other than hybrids and diesels, no other cars can even come close to this.
If it only takes 3 dollars of electricity to charge a vehicle that can drive 100 miles, it's saving you money. If it were equated to EPA standards, it would make 135 mpg at highway speed. It doesn't matter if the electricity came from fossil fuels.

This car is in no way lame. It's the most technically advanced rally car out there. The owner has put a lot of money into this stuff. I can tell you, this car is amazing, it's one thing to see it in a video, but seeing it in person is even more amazing!

All that stuff is for a purpose, and not heavy. It's not like it's full of entertainment shit. The GPS units are under a pound each, the sat. internet unit is probably, what, 2 pounds? The lighting switches weigh nothing...so he probably added about 12 pounds of electronics, and saved way more than that by switching out the exhaust.

One thing all these cannonball cars need are land/mobile radios to scramble police frequencies. All you need is a random noise generator to transmit on the police freuqencies. BUT if you're caught with such a thing, you will go away for a long time....

This car is in no way lame. It's the most technically advanced rally car out there. The owner has put a lot of money into this stuff. I can tell you, this car is amazing, it's one thing to see it in a video, but seeing it in person is even more amazing!

It's all a matter of oppinion. The technology that the owner of this R8 has in the car is insane. You can't compare something like this to an electric car. This is a road Rally car, and an awe inspiring one at that.

All that stuff is for a purpose, and not heavy. It's not like it's full of entertainment shit. The GPS units are under a pound each, the sat. internet unit is probably, what, 2 pounds? The lighting switches weigh nothing...so he probably added about 12 pounds of electronics, and saved way more than that by switching out the exhaust.
Either you didn't watch the video or you're not quite following the idea of a blacked out, police scanning R8 speeding at night with no tail lights on...
