  • Holy shit this dude is the definition of coming prepared.

  • top secret - presenting on youtube. slight logic error or what..

  • The owners name is Andre Betz, swag.

  • "Infrasound has been known to cause feelings of awe or fear in humans. Since it is not consciously perceived, it can make people feel vaguely that supernatural events are taking place."

As if the roar of that engine wasn't enough... >_>

  • is this the car that crashed in Orlando FL today?

  • is this a police car or a coast to coast racer

  • OH my gawwwwwwwwddddddddahhhhhh

This guy is tech literate and has badass taste in cars.

  • The owner of this car was arrested in New York. The police took the driver and his passenger into custody. Not sure what they got busted for?

    Anyone know?

  • bad ass

  • very nice, but here are a few pro tips:

    1. Keep the 9500ci in receive mode

    2. Get a set of laser interceptor quad high power laser jammers

    and thanks for using trapster

    - Fellow moderator and counter measure enthusiast Solidjake

  • @XionUnjust HI JAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This thing is more advanced than a James Bond car. Is this the person with the R8 you mentioned who had gone to jail?

  • Question: What is the pulse thing that he is talking about. at 2:13.

  • @LInebacker998 its like bat sonar. it generates a pulse which creates a visual on a heads up display so you can drive completely blacked out at ridiculous speeds and get away with it while speeding passed cops in the dark.

  • @infidel0319 Haha, "Bat Radar". IR technology is much more efficient at seeing at night, hence the Mercedes S-Class. That device, if it does really work, is some type of LRAD device. These transcontinental speed freaks fly across the US in under 32hours. An LRAD would be used to make slow people get out of the way or pull over due to the discomfort that LRAD devices produce..

  • Nice Video ! Only thing Missing Is a Stealth License Plate !!!

From Clear to Black With The Flick of a Switch !

For Sale at Stealth Performance Products 404-207-2128

our website thelaserjammerstore thats dot com

  • Drug runner?

  • @ledgendsrus you are an idiot.

  • @peavyt15 would you like to give a reason for your assumption?

  • @ledgendsrus its an open road rally car. listen to the video.

  • the buttons remind me off K.I.T.T.

    where's the turbo boost?

  • It needs FLIR! Connect a FLIR cam to a pico projector mounted in the dash and project it onto the windshield like a HUD. No more lights!

  • CB Radio, I had one of those in my Manta GTE.What a lot of rubbish, I wil take the Honda Blackbird any day...lol

  • Infrasonic... Low energy sound waves. They make people sick and mess up your mood. Done. Blast that shit loud and watch people get out of your way...

  • This R8 is actualy mr. alex roy's supercar, he's just pretend that Isn't his.

  • They should use this car in the next transporter movie

  • These nwo fucks should be shot. type "electronic harassment" into google.

  • That is beautiful...

  • That is beautiful...

  • sweeeet

  • oh the dirty and disgusting things id do for that car

  • Completely awesome car - unfortunately it wasn't enough and the driver and his co-driver were arrested.

Police use an absurd amount of resources to track down speeders.

  • BATMAN!?!?!?!

  • That Audi model reminds me of Darius of Need for Speed Carbon. Well done Alex, I really liked the video. Keep it up!!!

  • It needs to have extened range fuel tanks, then it would be perfect.

  • Yes or no? Shouldn't this be the car batman used in the Dark Knight?

  • What does the plasma thing do?

  • alex is a funny dude .."good luck with that!"

  • this owns the batsmobile.

  • Any guesses as in whom it might belong? I went trough a list of all the Gumballers contemporary with Alex but eliminated them all due to accents (if the guy presenting the car is REALLY the owner), retirement out or rallying, cash flow (Nine or The Weis)...let's hear some ideas, start obvious THEN go crazy...

  • Alex Roy is the most insanely technological driver i've ever encountered in my life.... I can't wait till this Blackbird makes it debut for the next Gumball run and what will Alex be wearing? a batman costume for this? or a SWAT team? Cheers for Polizei Ein Vier Vier !

  • Alex is retired now......

  • @rothris

Gumball June 2010 Boston to Miami

  • Gumball 2010 is from London to NY.

  • the fuck is with the audio

  • I want it.

  • all it needs is missles and a flux capacitor

  • And a plasma-powered sonar...

  • Can someone reply to my question:

What does the pulse generator exactly do?

  • It's like driving a stealth bomber. Sure it's not invisible to radar, but why avoid what doesn't catch you anyway.

  • o boy, the only car in existence better than the M5 for flying across the country at felony-able speeds

  • Cool. I'm glad the guy who set the audio levels on Alex's mic had nothing to do with designing the car.

  • it looks good but why would a bit of cheap electronics be very impressive..

  • Those are cheap electronics. That is a shit ton of equipment used to avoid getting pulled over thats why its impressive

  • But why the small engine? The V10 is definately the better choice...

  • because he got one of the first Audi R8s to hit the states back when this was prepped?

  • the V10 wasn't available in American when the R8 first came out

  • I guess David H,want a night rider. Its looks sick

  • fuck the announcers lapel mic killed me... FUCK!

  • Most advanced rally car, and he's running gopros for the bumper cams. lmao

  • With this kind of budget.... Would radar absorbing paint help at all? or would the small percentage of radar reflecting back to the gun ruin the whole concept? I know even F-22's aren't perfectly off radar.

  • Someday im gonna build a car of this caliber

  • cool

  • wtf is all this about ? why he needs that on a car?

  • its for doing illegal cross country time thingys...

  • or rallying, which, by itself, isnt illegal. however actions that happen while rallying are.

  • no its not gumball and that all of that stuff... read alex roy's book then reply....

  • during one of his interviews he called the blackbird "the most advanced rally car ever".

  • Have you ever heard of Bullrun rallying?

  • the (infrasonic wave pulse generator) was in development by the US military. in short it basically sends a extremely low sound waves, below what the human ear can hear. it causes side effects of basically "fear!", it will cause people to move out the way, run, vomit, headaches, in short everything that a person doesn't want to feel.

  • false its an emp it cooks others cars computer systems.

  • why does he need this just so people move out of the way

  • It doesn't move people it makes their cars stop working get pulled over turn off your car and electronics hit the emp fry the police electronics drive away while they sit there

  • The device on the front (infrasonic wave pulse generator) looks to me like some sort of microwave radar device possibly for use in detecting objects in front at night when travelling at high speed. Can't see it being infrasonic as this would require a much larger transducer of some kind. Also the owner stated that you would not want to stand to close as it might affect your prospects of having children. The car is definitely a cool bit of kit though. Think we will all need one of these soon.

  • IMO, it's a transmission scrambler... probably kills radar and laser transmissions. Also, could scramble digital cellular signals and radio frequencies...

  • All of that and the camera system is running 1hr SD cards rather than routed to a proper hard drive? That makes no sense, ha. If you've got enough money for all of that, I'm sure you could spring for a large capacity SSD, say, 250GB or 512GB? I'm sure those would hold a hell of a lot more than 1 hour, lol.

  • I agree. I was thinking that myself, and in fact, with all the other stuff, I woulda thought that maybe they would have a bank of five 1-TB hard drives that just upload continuously over its wireless.

  • Would you want to go through that much constant memory for rally run to pull out the good parts for a video? 1gb is smaller and you'll know roughly what's on each one instead of a constant stream. I'd ratehr go through 1 hour of video then 512gigs worth, wouldn't you agree?

  • alex nice! were was i? you should have stoped by cozy's with that thing!!!

  • all that... but no tints???

  • yeah you're definetly right. no matter how good your radar detectors...laser jammers..and scanners get...theirs no defense for the human eye.

  • i feel like a de-badged nissan gt-r would be perfect. not many average people know what a nissan gt-r is...

  • Nobody knows what a Nissan GT-R is even with the badges. But it wouldn't be difficult to describe it. "I just saw a car pass me double the speed limit. It had very sharp, pointed headlights and a black grill."

  • ur a faggot !

  • i want one! i wish i could afford a car that expensive

  • what brand are those antennas on the rear window?

  • alex... it sounds like crap... you need a sound guy... look me up if you need audio help...

  • One question... why not matte black? That would complete the car. Well.. the Capristo exhaust doesn't help lol..

  • Is he actually planning a transcontinental record with this? Although the R8 is nice, I think it is way too flashy for a covert record attempt. The M5 blended in with normal cars. A town cop will pull that thing over for going 1 mph over the speed limit just because he can.

  • It's possible. A black R8 is much more stealth than a red Ferrari 550 Marinello that Richard Rawlings and Dennis Collins used to make 31 hours 59 minutes.

  • the R8 is a perfect car, what the point of all that crap inside? if a cop wants to stop u, he will and he will fine u, no matter wat

  • Police can't stop and fine you if you weren't speeding. That's the point of all that equipment, so you know where the cops are and slow down when you encounter them. They will stop you if another motorist calls you in, but during Bullrun, Andre said every time his car was called in they got the make and model wrong. Likely because it was debadged.

  • Your infrasonic wave pulse generator is no match for my particle accelerator.

  • its for sale now

  • That Audi?? Can U post a link??

  • Do you have over $150,000 to waste on a car?

  • I would never buy a car that's more expensive than 45000 Euro :) I was just curious, that's all.

  • Is radar detectors illegal in some states?

  • i think only in a semi in some states but i could be wrong...

  • edo exhaust?

  • capristo exhaust (loud as hell and well known) look them up

  • There's only one reason I have ever dreamed of building a car to surpass the 144's capabilities.... Could Mr. Roy's record have fallen, at the hands of this incredible vehicle? Quite interesting.

  • Roy says in his interview at google authors that a lot of the equipment on this car failed on the attempt at the record and they were caught and arrested.

  • Yeah I heard that as well!!! All in the prep work.

  • Is this Andre's car?

  • so basically, even Jason Statham wouldn't be able to handle this car?

  • you gotta go with the stick, in a badass car like that- the r-tronic takes away from the overall awesomeness- i mean come on even my fucking grandma can drive stick

  • So what does this infrasonic wave generator do?

  • fucks shit up!

  • Awsome car but he picked the Blinder jammer system...not a smart move. He should have picked the Laser Star because its pure stealth and its a parking sensor for those places where laser jammers are illegal.

  • id go with a laser interceptor

  • Laser Star is the biggest scam/ POS in the lase3r jammer industry!!!!! He actually has Escort Zr4 on his R8 and he is adding the Laser Interceptor

  • Even the american representive admits Laser Star was a scam

  • It's nice, but having that much equipment is useless in it's current state. The guy who finds a way to integrate all of that information the driver will be receiving into one interface would make a lot of money.

  • It's not short, it looks about 5.5 feet tall. It's just mounted through the rear air vents, along with a scanner antenna. The 2 antennas on the rear window are for the Airbox mobile internet router.

  • so I'm going to guess that the pulse generating device knocks out the electrical systems of scanners/electronics in cars...possible killing a car...

    amazing

  • how did he get his CB radio antenna so short?!

  • Another german masterpiece!!!!!!

  • It would be awesome flying down the highway with the sirens on in this

  • alex roy should use THIS in the gumball as a police car "german captured by gumball 144" :)

  • For those who are eco-conscious, Audi makes the most fuel efficient production vehicles. Their base model A4 gets 51mpg! Other than hybrids and diesels, no other cars can even come close to this.

  • Are those Antenex antennas on the bumper?

  • I thought that Top secret only worked on Japanese cars... thats what it seems like anyway

  • He means top secret as in "top secret", not "Top Secret."

  • lol nice response! hopefully most people are smart enough to know this on thier own.

  • If it only takes 3 dollars of electricity to charge a vehicle that can drive 100 miles, it's saving you money. If it were equated to EPA standards, it would make 135 mpg at highway speed. It doesn't matter if the electricity came from fossil fuels.

  • the guy said it was $120,000 for the car and $65,000 worth of electronics

  • $65,000 for electronics? I have to call bullshit. He doesn't even have a FLIR system in the car. With installation, I'm guessing his stuff cost half that.

  • I just said that, Mr Rush Limbaugh wanna be.

Do me a favor, please upload one video, that way you wont be a total free loader, that also has nothing of value to say.

  • no, and neither does "Tesla Roadster" but that's what it is.

FYI- The video was sent to me with the person blabbing about a technologically advanced car- which is laughable.

Go fight some more wars for oil, no one likes breathing anyway.

  • how much all this cost the guy?

  • Hottest car I've ever seen. It just needs to have a computer voice, and it's Knight Rider.

  • Apparently the co-driver got arrested, while driving this car.

  • Sigh. Beautiful car with piece of shit Continental tires on it.

That's like a 65" top of the line plasma display and hooking it up to fucking rabbit ears.

  • is this legal?

  • crazy stuff AUDI

  • you would turn your backlights off soo if your going over the speed limit and theirs a cop he wont see you

  • I don't get it. Why the need for 2 Garmin's and WiFi and about 7 radar detectors? Seems like major overkill to me. The V1 does the job fine. Oh and why would you want to turn your back lights off?

  • Back ups for when something goes wrong...Also the Ecort9500ci has jammers and it is a much better radar detector than the v1

  • so i met this guy at wendys on 8/21/08 and i talked to him and touched this car.. be jealous everyone

  • So that's where my car is!

  • One thing all these cannonball cars need are land/mobile radios to scramble police frequencies. All you need is a random noise generator to transmit on the police freuqencies. BUT if you're caught with such a thing, you will go away for a long time....

  • any car can be a law breaker, or a road racer (or so most think :) )

  • Geiler sound, aber ich werde nie verstehen wie man so viel Geld für einen Audi ausgeben kann.

    BMW FTW

  • This car is in no way lame. It's the most technically advanced rally car out there. The owner has put a lot of money into this stuff. I can tell you, this car is amazing, it's one thing to see it in a video, but seeing it in person is even more amazing!

  • Did I say it was the most advanced car? No. I said that it's themost technically advanced road rally car out there.

If you think otherwise, prove it. Show me another road rally vehicle with an infrasonic pulse generator.

  • It's all a matter of oppinion. The technology that the owner of this R8 has in the car is insane. You can't compare something like this to an electric car. This is a road Rally car, and an awe inspiring one at that.

  • If you think it's so stupid, why did you bother to watch this video? If you like environment friendly cars, go comment on a video that's relivent. It's pointless to say that this type of stuff is lame. So many people would disagree. Look at how many times the video has been viewed. You call that lame?

  • Change your tampon, you whiny bitch. Don't you have some kids to chase off your lawn?

  • That reminds me. Tell your mom she needs some selson blue, I noticed a shit ton of dandruff when I was staring down at the top of her bobbing head.

  • lol, I'll do that

  • simply beautful.

  • What the hell is that thing on the front bumper and what does it do?

  • Liquid-cooled infrasonic wave pulse generator (Might be to disrupt the infrared laser and radar detector guns but we really don't know)

    -from crunchgear

  • Dude where's the Fast Lane Daily "Eject" button.

  • that bitch is TRICKED!!!

  • Alex will not be beaten by an R8, he will be beaten by a another BMW ;D

  • All that stuff is for a purpose, and not heavy. It's not like it's full of entertainment shit. The GPS units are under a pound each, the sat. internet unit is probably, what, 2 pounds? The lighting switches weigh nothing...so he probably added about 12 pounds of electronics, and saved way more than that by switching out the exhaust.

Either you didn't watch the video or you're not quite following the idea of a blacked out, police scanning R8 speeding at night with no tail lights on...

  • I dont know ... i rekon its overkill ...

  • No such thing. There's always someone more prepared than you.

  • Its all for the Cannonball Run. Its so they can get the fastest possible speed with out getting caught.
