For once in my life, as an Xbox fanboy, I'm going to pair up with the PS3 fanboys and just LAUGH at the Wii. The Wii was my first ever console, and I appreciate that (im 14), but its now rotting in my basement. Its great for kids, but even fanboys have to admit that it is in NO WAY better then the PS3 or Xbox. The only games on the Wii that are good compared to games on the Xbox are Brawl (up there with Tekken), Galaxy (great game) and Zelda.
Has anyone played their Wii yet? Does anyone want mine? i see LOTS of Wii fans here, And i stop playing mine like 8 months ago. I don't feel like playing it anymore. So does anyone want it? :\

Legend of zelda is one of the best graphical games for wii vs black ops when it looks like crap cause vs the graphics on ps3 and xbox. so the wii isnt really for the hardcore gamers i'd say its more for fun not a serious console if you play shooter games.

You can use it just like the Wii. The PS3 had move when it first came out in 2007, they delayed it because they didn't know it was going to be a success and they didnt have a name for it. @rarerayrules There are a ton of games that have good gameplay, like Fire Emblem, Goldeneye, Mario Galaxy 1&2, No More Heroes 1&2, Punchout, Zelda, TP, RE4, Monster Hunter 3, etc.
And even though they are not in HD, they can have great graphics. Just look at the Mario Galaxy series, Goldeneye, The Last Story, Metroid Prime 3/Trilogy, Metroid Other M, Tatsunoko vs Capcom, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Kirby's Epic Yarn, Monster Hunter 3, etc.
@rarerayrules Why are you basing the game only over graphics. You need to take other things into account, like gameplay and controls (and Goldeneye excels in both of those). Plus, the graphics are actaully pretty good.

Since they finally got the technology (steam powered wiimote was inefficient to say the least) recently they finally released it on Nov 19th, 2006. Last comment. The most important thing here though is implementation...
The WiiMote and PS3 and Xbox360 controls are actually all pretty different. It's actually strange if you think about how they are all lumped in to each other as being copy cats of each other but Natal is full body no controller, for instance. The WiiMote and PS3 are more similar but the usage is way different. The Wiimote is used more like a mouse while PS3s is more gesture based.
Also, I know you didn't mention anything about this but it is evident (due to this being the only release generation where one system is heavily underpowered relative to the others) that in a pure visual sense, pure polygon pushing graphics aren't everything. It is ALL about art direction. This explains why some old games still look amazing.
Everything has to flow together right. There are games that are just as gorgeous on the Wii as a PS3 game even though they have 100x less complexity.
Playstation DIDN'T copy the Wii's motion controller. The PS3 was released on November 11,2006. The Wii was released on November 19, 2006. If you look at those dates you may notice 11 comes before 19.

R u kidding me, I know this for a fact. The Wii graphics suck so bad, the waranty doesn't last long at all, the PS3 came out before the Wii, so... the PS3 had SIXAXIS witch is motion censored. You can use it just like the Wii. The PS3 had move when it first came out in 2007, they delayed it because they didn't know it was going to be a success and they didnt have a name for it. The Wii came out in late 2008. The Wii heard the idea and stole it to make the PS3 look like shit. Look it up FANBOYS!.

@rarerayrules There are a ton of games that have good gameplay, like Fire Emblem, Goldeneye, Mario Galaxy 1&2, No More Heroes 1&2, Punchout, Zelda, TP, RE4, Monster Hunter 3, etc.
And even though they are not in HD, they can have great graphics. Just look at the Mario Galaxy series, Goldeneye, The Last Story, Metroid Prime 3/Trilogy, Metroid Other M, Tatsunoko vs Capcom, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Kirby's Epic Yarn, Monster Hunter 3, etc.

you shouldnt have zelda representing the graphics because its a gamecube port. you should have use metroid prime 3 but ohwell ps3 obviously has better graphics. but graphics dont make the games better and thats why i prefer wii because its not just like every game for it that is good is and FPS. it has variety mario, metroid, zelda, soon it'll have DK and Kirby, not to mention SSBB mario kart and well whatever else. im sick of shooters thats like all ps3 and 360 has (although i want the conduit)

At the same time, however, if your competitor had something as interesting as the Wiimote and you DIDN'T try to do your own version, that would be dumb. This is why MS is doing Natal as well. Wii has been an insane success.

Last comment. The most important thing here though is implementation...
The WiiMote and PS3 and Xbox360 controls are actually all pretty different. It's actually strange if you think about how they are all lumped in to each other as being copy cats of each other but Natal is full body no controller, for instance. The WiiMote and PS3 are more similar but the usage is way different. The Wiimote is used more like a mouse while PS3s is more gesture based.
I'm all for it for all systems..

Also, I know you didn't mention anything about this but it is evident (due to this being the only release generation where one system is heavily underpowered relative to the others) that in a pure visual sense, pure polygon pushing graphics aren't everything. It is ALL about art direction. This explains why some old games still look amazing.
Everything has to flow together right. There are games that are just as gorgeous on the Wii as a PS3 game even though they have 100x less complexity.

Playstation DIDN'T copy the Wii's motion controller. The PS3 was released on November 11,2006. The Wii was released on November 19, 2006. If you look at those dates you may notice 11 comes before 19.
