I'm only watching this because I'm reading the second sequel to a fanfiction involving two OCs who fell into Aladdin. I knew the first and second movies which were done, but the third story involves this. Is this movie better than the first sequel? The animation looks OK so far.

@jazzykid1 I might be biased cuz this was my fav childhood movie and ive seen it about a hundred times, but i love the third aladdin. i saw it before i saw the second one, which absolutely sucked. If you had the patience to sit through that one, i think you'd like this one.

@jazzykid1 As a finale to the Aladdin series yes. It ties up alot of loose ends and explores Aladdin's past with his father. They even got Robin Williams to come back to voice Genie one more time. On it's own it holds up as well.

MUCH better than the second one although I liked Return Of Jafar.

@happy9191 Actually, the wedding scene at the end shows several characters they make friends with during the TV series. Sadira and Prince Uncouthma, for example. So it's pretty well established that it takes place after the series.

The sultan did give a time yes, but we never hear that time and for all we know it could have been just under a year (some people say they're almost 18 with weeks of turning 17 for example). That gives plenty of time for all the adventures to have happened and still show at the end of the first movie a happy ever after. After all, in the sequel they arent married when jafar comes back

In the first film jasmine had to be married to a prince by her next birthday and then at the end the Sultan said she could marry whoever she wished, but he didn't alter the date. Shouldn't they have already been married by now, especially since there has already been an entire other film between this and the first one.
