I had nearly forgotten about some of these songs...I went to Christian school until 8th grade and sang these songs everyday...thank you so much for posting these, I have an 8 year old and a 6 month old and we now have some new Christian children's songs...I taught them all of the ones I remembered so my 8 year old will be thrilled to learn some new ones!
So many of these songs bring back happy childhood memories. Some teenage memories, too. LOL as I was active in our church even then. thank you for sharing with us.
how du know these kids are being forced? they sound happy to me.
I grew up in the church-and i was never forced-ultimately i made my own choices-and thankGod someone cared enough to tell me about Jesus from the start.
@PennTrafford an old comment you made here, but let me say, when I was a child I had a feeling of the holy spirit from the very get go, I remember this at 1 year old! My parents didn't start bringing Jesus into the picture until I was around 2, so I don't see how kids are getting brainwashed. This soothes the soul, if it doesn't for you well then Im sorry, just a matter of preference. Whenever I got scared, my mom held me and hummed songs like this and "Jesus Loves Me" and it helped a lot.
uh i think there are some missing lyrics here... like "whoever drinks the living water, Jesus gives to them. whoever drinks the living water will never ever thirst again"
I love that song.. i learned it once 11 years ago and its been in my head ever since haha... wierd
I see this as a song for kids who love swimming, I just might do a video on it. I mean, how can kids really enjoy their childhoods if people keep shoving religion down their throats?!?
I'm one of many who enjoyed their childhood...which included religion. I never felt that it was 'shoved down my throat'. For me it was a matter of faith. My mother often walked into my room to find me reading my Bible, and she was proud of me as I did it on my own. As an educated adult I choose still to worship God. There are many life experiences that have proven to me He lives. My children, who are now adults, also feel the same way. They also made their choices without the 'shoving' part.
I remember when I was 9 to 14 and I would sing it wide and deep with a flowing fountain to try to mess everybody else up. AHH, the good old times.

@holliesparkles214 I can relate, because I have a first cousin who's over 30 now, and he has down syndrome too.

For the Japanese speakers who posted below, doesn't Deep and Wide sound like an English verson (tune-wise) of Haru ga Kita?

My primary school had to sing this when everyone was leaving assembly. It was humiliating

In the Sunday Schools I used to be in, instead of omitting words, each subsequent verse kept speeding up until we couldn't keep up with it. :)

This is my favorite Christian song. Deep and Wide, there's a fountain flowing Deep and Wide.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
This is actually kind of creepy....
Why do adults feel they have the right to brainwash children with this drivel, just because they have problems?

I hate it when those douchebags think that it is always "shoved down throats."
Personally, I don't believe in god, but I respect it when other people do.
