  • Brilliant! ♥ the choreography :-)

  • Bloody amazing!!! And to find someone else who's into traditional music/dance and running...............wow. I've felt so alone all these years. Keep posting the videos.

    Garry.

  • Morris Dancing and Doctor Who! Two of my favorite off-the-wall things brought together! Well done! I thought the daleks were fantastic along with the "scarf" dancing doctors. But topping it off with a chorus of "Constant Billy" made it just perfect!!!!

    Thanks for sharing

  • Thanks for looking.

Watch this space, there will be another creation for 2008 which will be preformed for the very first time in Milford,Derbyshire(DE560QH) below the Strutt Arms(on the A6)soon after 11am on 10 May 2008. Give the benefit of a lottery award we are currently formulating some new costumes for this years new themed dance. I will put up a video of the new dance shortly thereafter.

  • Thanks for the reply constantsqueezer,Its nice to know its local people, when I go to Padstow on Mayday its the local people there, its a way of life for them from babies to old ladies, all taking part and loving it.Padstow also gets the "folkies" attending, dressed up as druids or whatever!?. I just hope that no passing American tourist who come across the Milford maids think thats what they have been doing for hundreds of years!

I love your other video Bandanglo.

  • I love Morris but this is daft,I am not sexist but as far as I know women in morris is not traditional and has only evolved the last few decades.

  • Hi devonrod - I think you have missed the point. This is community art. These dances at Milford take place every year for May Day and we have a new dance every year on a different theme. we just have local people - not "folkies" As with these two dances, we take our inspiration from tradition - music and formations and create an original piece every year. True community involvement!

  • Fantastic. Great fun.
