I have two now.....They are terrific pistols. 9X18 is somewhat scarce and the prices have gone through the roof! When I began shooting with the mak, a box of 50 was $7 and change. Now, forget it!

I currently have 5 Makarovs (simpson suhl, 2 east german, soviet military and

also chinese) These are GREAT guns.

They are very accurate and never jam.

I also have 2 PPK's, and while I like the

PPK, it will occasionally jam, so I carry the Makarov in the car, unless I go on a

long trip and then I carry Colt Commander (45 ACP).

It is capable of firing them in a pinch, but it increases wear on the weapon. The reason I wanted one designed specifically for 9x19 is because I like the Makarov design, but 9x19 is much more widespread and offers a greater range of ammo types (and is cheaper) where I live, so it's more viable for me.

I've considered it, but they are more expensive and most of them are chambered for .380 ACP. For the price of a Walther I can get a much better Glock. Also, I'd feel more suited with a Mak since I'm Russian :P

@Otacon237 PM uses free recoil, and let's say 9x18 is a limit for this scheme. the only 9x19 pistols with free recoil were Walther Mod.6 and Draise Mod.1910 both had inadequately tough recoil springs and were not popular even in among WW1 soldiers

there is a bit more powerfull version called PMM (for Modified), chambered in new 7N16 rounds with lighter bullet and heavier charge, 12-rnd mag, and there are civilian versions of PM called IJ-70 (8 mag) and PMM called IJ-71 (12 mag) both chambered in .380 ACP

as far as im concerned they do not make blank adapters for pistols....

therefore it wouldnt cycle and he would have to pull the slide back every time.

I dunno about that, there is so, and blank ammunition that can be used. Well, if he wasn't shooting blanks then I will say this "Bad gun saftey" doesn't matter if he's in the woods he's just firing off into a direction/ then at the ground. But I can't really tell. He could have the camera on a rig and could be aim, but I doubt that.

PFCs are like realistic cap guns, they can't fire anything and they use caps, they're pretty much blank only guns. Some hollywood films actually use them, then add more realistic sound effects and other effects in.
