Yes QF has the A380, all that means is you're waiting longer for your meal, longer to get on and off the aircraft. Given NZL has a customer base of only 4.5 million people and AUS 20+ million, Air NZ's doing a bloody good job holding its own!
NZ are investing in new seat designs and IFE where as QF has stagnated for quite a few years now... come on QF, time to upgrade!

how friendly is Qantas when they spilled milk all over my laps and did not even gave me tissue on an intercontinental flight to London? Not to mention when I asked for a hot chocolate, I have to meet them in the gallery and looked at them making it unhappily and handed it over with a very fake smile for 2 seconds before continuing her conversation to her fellow flight crew.

Easy, Singapore Airline way beter than Qantas and yes! NZ way better than Qantas, well the truth is after my experience with Qantas (B747 and A380) Qantas hold the title as the worst service ever!! seat in A380 was good so does the IFE, but seriously, with service like that 14 hours flight to Heathrow from SIN seems like hell!!
i live in new zealand and of course im gonna go for air newzealand the flight attendants are amazingly friendly and the flight are very smooth but on quontas altho they have z a380 they r slow servers and rides r bumpy and quite horrible. i also love fijiianairways they r actualy nicer than air newzealand because thy r fijjian they r all nice
Yeah it is getting a bit annoying, but I would prefer emergency landings than crashes. I think had the pilots not been trained as well as they were, they could have resulted in a crash.

I've flown long haul economy with both and must say that I was very disappointed with Qantas. Their planes were old and in need of refurbishment, the staff werent the friendliest bunch and the food was mediocre. Air NZ have immaculate plans, friendly staff and very nice meals.
i wouldnt want to fly qantas right now because they have had so many emenrgency landings in the past months but the they do have a wider range of destinations but since i live in nz i like air nz better because air nz havent had an emenrgency landing in long time

For me air new zealand AND qantas are great for me!!
But the only thing sucked for me on my trip flying on qantas WAS that we were flying a old qantas 747 -_-
but I atleast got to sit on business lol...
Air new zealand is like a great airline for me..
For my family it has cheap prices and great service and exellent food.
Qantas has wonderful food, great service, awesome seats, and so much more :) there uniforms are great to..!!

ive have flown to singapore on them both and seariously...
qantas was terriable...
the staff were slow at serving the food and on top of that they were very un friendly.
but on air nz the staff were very quick,quite friendly and the food was awsome
