@goadany perhaps you missed my comment directly above this one" ***I meant how can anyone not like this*** on my phone sorry guys..." Otherwise, I'm not sure if I understand what you are saying. Sorry for the confusion.
If I could be one person it would be Neil but maybe a kinder gentler Neil (a nicer Neil since his near-death fling at 58) and w/o the epileptic falls on stage with Buf Springfield. You can hear what wonderful humor Neil has throughout but especially on Massey Hall concerts. Hope Neil never packs it in as he always picks me up.
excellent ..excellent..love the way he plays and sings as if everyone there is an old freind and he is sharing a story of a memorable time he recalls..and how he smiles as the images rush back..
não sei por q, esta canção me deixa melancólico, me faz lembrar de momentos tristes q passaram em minha vida.momentos q axei q estavam sepultados mais q a ouvir esta canção, percebo q estão bem vivos.
@brave49er16 oh yeah,I was just surfing through the channels at the moment, switched back to the Olympics, and heard a voice so reminiscent and known I couldn't believe it. Stole the show from everyone, can't remember what song he sang though..
Other commenters were right... He didn't mess up the verses; this performance was before he'd finalized the order of the verses. Love it. It's raw and real.
i would pay anything to be here i love how the crowd is silent and listens ive seen videos of people who wont shutup when the persons singing or talking there all drunk and have no respect.
this was performed before harvest was released, so he hadn't decided on the order of the verses properly. i don't think he was nervous, he'd been performing for quite a few years. awesome performance either way
@brucechrist even though someone has performed for years doesn't mean they still don't get nervous. Jerry Garcia got extremely nervous before every show he played, but when he started playing he just fell into it. but you are probably right about him not fulling having it arranged
@jambi880 he might not have completed the song yet either... there's a line missing after "...she makes me look up from her big brass bed...", he just hums through it...
@tml1019 If I die before him I want him to come and play at the spreading of my ashes. If he can't come I guess I will have to due with just the music from the past. Maybe an old 45.
@tml1019 I agree with you. He is truly a beautiful person. Quiet, humble and so much fun. He suffered physically since he was a young boy, but nothing ever held him back. He is such a special person. He is just a love machine.
@tml1019 Thats a silly, dumb sentiment ---His music will, but if he continues to live his music will only get worse and worse and most redundant! Im sure he'd be real happy with you for makin him live forever! :)
I get what yer sayin though...Neil's brilliant!!!!!
I saw Neil this year in Kansas City 09, he even made a remark to the crowd about their attitude. "Hey, Kansas City, what's the matter with you tonight? Lighten up man". To much booze, no respect and the crowd was the rudest bunch of jerks I have ever witnessed. Saw Neil so many times, as well as 100's of other concerts including PF, from Dark-Animals, its not like it use to be, then again people as a whole have digressed. Just watch the news. Forget the Queen....God save us from ourselves.
interestingly that was picked up by Pink Floyd's conceptualization of their everchanging fans at concerts. So much so, The Wall was based on that concept. -See interviews with Roger Waters...
@Killbombr Keep in mind this quite mellow music. I sure the hippies back in the day did their fair share of drinking and drug abuse while attending shows. Just depends on the atmosphere really.
@Killbombr that good sir is a generalization and therefore most likely inaccurate. Believe it or not young people these days are capable of respecting musicians as well.
@Killbombr yeah, i guess people like neil had genuine talent and people were amazed and just stood there in awe....it was real not like the crap thats coming out these days..
