i recently got anime studio 6. i can draw shapes and stuff, but I don't know how to add bones and animations to my creations. Is there any tutorial site (preferably one with a video) that you would recommend?

hey, well posting links here looks a bit suspicious so, search here in youtube for mikdog's channel and vernsworld's channel, they are ASP prodigies. You may learn a lot from them. Good luck with animating! (and a friendly advice: do not fall in the "making puppets but not animating" that sucks people's animating souls and you will end making many tests videos)

i've never tried to inport sprites, but i think you cant.. still you can animate your own movements ->convert them to a cycle -> convert it into an action -> use it whenever you want!

i used a mask,

---WARNING boring explanation ahead---

-first i drew a perfect siluet shape of the drawing (this i think can be avoided but will take longer to do),

-then put every layer in a group layer, then in the masking properties of the siluet shape layer, select the "+ add to mask but keep invisible" option.

-Create a new vector layer for the "shadow thingy" (anyway, i like to call it lighting layer). apply the "maks this layer" propertie to this layer.

- then in the group layer (where every other layer is in it), select the masking propertie: "Hide all"

To do it directly IN the program I could use a Wacom Tablet, wich i don't have, but i'm saving money for one. So, im forced to use a tracing image when i do things that alredy exist, thanks for comment!.

dude i haf a question were u using custom scripted fill tool for filling vectors in same layer while they were overlapping ?

Actually it's easier than it looks, select the points with the "create shape" tool and press the space key, it doesn't matter if vector lines are overlapping (still the vector must be closed), they get filled.

If you select all lines and they are overlapping you'll get a shape with a hole.
