Lexus IS Convertible at Chicago Auto Show

Once again, Lexus drops the ball by making another unsafe convertible with no pop-up roll bars. They didn't even give it side impact air bags! And don't bother telling me that convertibles rarely roll-over or don't really need them pop-up roll bars. I guess Mercedes Benz, Audi, BMW & VW spend all that money on safety research & put roll bars on their convertibles for no reason at all, right? Totally irresponsible company that doesn't give a shit about the lives of the people who buy their cars.

@StraySilence I was actually talking about the older Lexus convertible, so I got them mixed up. However, the main thing is no roll-over protection, and THAT'S what will decapitate and kill you in this thing in a roll-over. Thank's for the correction.
