She does not have the voice for that.Yes,she is a prodigious musician, but why did she sing arias not for her voice? That's for leggero-coloratura,and she is lyric.
@Juliet0307 Well, even Sutherland sang this and she is dramatic! Sumi jo, too ,another lyric....Edita gruberova, etc. I agree that only light-voiced sopranos fit it perfectly, such as Natalie Dessay, or Edita Gruberova's sweet and light timber, eventhough she is considered by many a dramatic soprano. But the tags on the role are not enough to stop adventurous sopranos to take on things not for them. Especially Maria, who according to experts had "a voice for everything"...until she lost it.
L'ultima nota è un po' strozzata e le agilità non sono il suo forte, ma nel complesso non è una versione venuta molto male. Certo è che si può fare molto meglio di così.
The last note is a bit chocked and she's weak in the agilities, but after all this isn't a really bad version. Ceirtainly it isn't difficult to do better than this.
@zampettedainsetto I disagree that she lacked any agility. from the 4:52 mark, her chromatics are perfectly corrugated. And the final E natural is probably her best, outside of Armida.
@74edelweiss74 You mean she sings THIS ARIA better than Callas. Simply because she has a lighter voice, right? Because except of useless high notes, Mado had nothing else to compare to Callas, as I am sure you are aware.
Impresionate Maria Callas sobre todo el finaal!!!!:)

Although this is good, Dessay's version is much better.

Weak beginning, but not a terrible rendition. Not her best, however.

try to hear the version of Mado Robin. You wont regret it because she sing 100 time better then Maria Callas. Even She Maria Callas has Talent.

Maria Callas played better and were preatier than mado Robin but M. Robin had the most beautiful voice.

@74edelweiss74 Well, i don't desagree she certainly had a very sweet voice....But prettier or not is highly subgective.

Obviously taste is so lacking in some.... Callas is Callas, for those that know music, nothing else need be said.

If the name Callas wasn't attached to it - you would
throw it into the garbage - 3rd rate rendition

@dziady1 And I believe you can sing it better, since you make such a comment.
