  • I WOULD SHOOT THIS JEFFREY BITCH AS A DOG...BITCH PROMOTES DIRT TO SOCIETY

  • this man is evil...

  • @GrifterUno Get with the program?? I hope you get AIDS or other sexual diseases.

  • And I dont even want to get started on prostitution and sexual diseases especially the fatal ones like AIDS.

  • Get off your high horses all of you...Stop acting like this is the 1800's and get with the program, or move to the mountains and live a hermit life; it's your choice but don't act like 'cause you don't like sex or anything related to it, that you are right for some inexplicable reason...it's still a choice, it will always be.

  • The "sexual revolution" in the 1960s led to casual sex, pregnant teens, unwed mothers and fathers of all ages, singles bars, one-night stands, teen sex, group sex, swingers, divorces, open marriages, cohabitation, incest, pornography, sexual abuse, rape, AIDS, abortions, STDS, and alternate sexual preferences. Traditional sexual morality was breaking down. and you think this is good?

  • @KumarZimmerman08 And I totally agreed with you, I have been demonized, ostracized, condemned for opposing sluttish bastardised fetish perverted behavior and lifestyle. Nothing against sexual activity of course but Sex was meant for reproductive purposes, to breed another generation and create new family. Sexual revolution has demeaned human beings and degraded human beings to the level of animal beings and what animals do?

  • @KumarZimmerman08 Animal beings intercourse like there is no tomorrow and with no real direction, just to do it pleasure. This revolution break family bond, destroyed commitment, destroyed marriage and created a lost generation. We are not animal beings for hell sake.

  • PORN = JEWS

  • It's nice when degradation gets wrapped in a nice package of academic demagogy. Get real dude. It satisfies the basest desires of man (his animal desires) and there's nothing redeeming about it as far as public discourse goes. You degrade the women and men in those "movies" first created by the lecherous curiosity of degenerates in the 20s. It is Voyeurism in its most carnal and basest form, period.

  • Why is is legal to pay two people to have sex with each other (for the manufacture of pornography) but illegal to pay someone to have sex with you (prostitution)?

  • 2 reasons. One, prostitution is often a public thing; even private brothels exist in the community and impact it. Two, prostitution can lead to sexual diseases being passed on to people not involved in it, usu. wives and girlfriends.

  • @theatheistevangelist Because in California v. Freemen (1988) the Supreme Court ruled that since Freeman (and by extension all pornographers) had hired the actors to please the consumer/viewer (who was not on set at the time) and not himself or the other actors, California's prostitution laws did not apply. A similar ruling was made in New York. Producing porn is illegal in all other 48 states. But most of the companies that produce porn are in California, where it's legal.

  • Sex is just natural, its not good or bad, it just happens. In this regard I don't think the porn industry is much better than the Catholic Church, both portray sex as sinful - the Church attacks it and the porn industry revels in it. Portraying sex as sinful, naughty, dirty etc. is how the porn industry markets itself. If people really saw sex as being natural, uncontroversial, just something people do (ie if there had actually been a sexual revolution) - the porn industry wouldn't exist.

  • @blackiron60 I disagree, pornography has shown sex to be as it is. Pleasurable. Depending on the porn you see, and by the looks of it you watch some very cheap porn, it's shown the different type of sex, it's catered to different areas, it's taken away the taboo. The porn industry exists because people want to pleasure themselves in private. Your whole point is wrong. No offence meant.

  • I understand your point of view, but how much literature have you read on this subject? And what's this "clean" "natural" porn you watch? My point is based on the language that the industry uses which is pretty undeniable.

  • @blackiron60 Well generally the porn I get off to, to put it so articulately, is two guys who're both equals in it. The porn has kissing, touching, a general closeness. It's an illusion yes but the image there is not a negative. If you're main point is the language used in it, then I cannot argue with you at all. However I don't think pornography is a complete negative, or even mostly a negative. It's done a lot of positives in opening peoples minds sexually I think.

  • @blackiron, If people really saw sex as being natural and uncontroversial, no one would be doing it. :-)

  • i say this about all people who get up in front of tons of people about an uncomfortable subject: i don't care if you agree with him or not, you must admit that man was brave to acknowledge porn as something valuable to society, ESPECIALLY in America.

  • lol, your head is so far up your ass I cannot even find a spot to hold so I can pull it out.

Pornography is a major symptom of sexual oppression?

    lol!!

  • That guy was dying to beat off right there!

Either that or he's really quite okay with his Parkinsons.

  • Please elaborate on how he's a pedophile

  • Some people on the comments session forget about amateur or experimental porn.

Not all porn is mainstream... and a big selection of all kinds of porn from old times to nowadays should be, indeed, a good reference for sexual (rev)olution study through times. Its just depends on how scientifically it is analyzed.

  • fail

  • Porn's always better if you have your own niche.

  • porn is used for two things, as a masterbation aid, or as a visual aid to sex. historical value? . . maybe, but who cars?

  • But why does virtually all porn suck? Rhetorical question, it sucks because it's designed to appeal to the common folk; they lack exquisite taste ergo porn sucks.

  • It's the dichotomy of mass appeal.

Ever notice how few people really like or really hate elevator music? Most people either find it mildly pleasant or mildly annoying. Same theory goes into TV, music, movies, and yes, even porn. Unless you cater specifically to people like Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Donald Trump and some Saudi princes, you'll want to appeal to as many people as possible and charge as little as possible to ensure you get as many customers as possible.

  • Yep, supply and demand.

  • @MassZombicide Please tell us pleebs more about the exquisite taste of high society, Plonker.

  • I will take it that you sir are a fan of teh conventional pr0nz. Well, I suppose I cannot hope to find a truly adequate porno since it is highly unlikely that a female ( or one of the cute boys who's cocks I'd like tuh deep throat :) of my already rare ilk would engage in any form of glorified courtesanship, so there is that hindrance of my finding a decent porn as well, my plebeian friend.

  • I don't want to talk to you no more, you empty headed animal food trough wiper. I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries.

  • :(.

  • Sorry I've been simply dying to use some Holy Grail frenchman insults.

"Go and boil your bottoms, you son of a silly person. I blow my nose at you!"

  • Porn in academia, wonderful!

  • Don't know exactly what his definition of the 'sexual revolution' is but a great part of sex liberalisation was the introduction of the Contraceptive Pill in the early 60s (followed by the liberalisation of abortion in the 70s in some places).

His 'real erection and real orgasm' comment - surely he is talking male only (women can fake it particularly if being paid to act in a movie) . I'm his books would discuss power issues such as slavery and coercion etc.

  • The ending was kind of abrupt.

  • Check out the TED talk by Cindy Gallop for a differing opinion on the subject of porn.

    watch?v=FV8n_E_6Tpc

Porn can not be a record of history if it is mostly a distortion and spreads misinformation.

I'm not saying porn is bad. Just the opposite in my opinion. But it is NOT an accurate representation of normal sex.

  • @freesk8 - I feel ya. I'm not sure "history" is an accurate representation of history considering who writes history.

I think porn could be a good representation of the majority of tastes regarding the sexual appetite in different eras.

  • @freesk8 some women like to think that everyone has sex as monotone, slow and boring as themselves

  • thanks for the link, I hadn't seen that one yet.

Gotta love TED!! one of the greatest sites on the web.

  • This guy's itching for a fuck.

  • pr0n is awesome!

  • WHAT...THE ...FUCK

  • It's a shame that somebody should even have to defend pornography or sexuality.

  • mate im pretty damn sure that if a kid can fuck they already know how to masturbate. it doesn't take a degree to figure it out

  • @ashestoyoursoul

Well you could argue it has had value for around 7000 years if you count the Saxony statue found in 2005.

3000 years if the Turin Erotic Papyrus from Egypt is more your style or 2000 years if you prefer the pornographic frescos in Pomeii.

Basically there has never been a period of recorded human history that has not had sexually explicit imagery.

In each instance the culture at the time has been reflected in the content and the content has driven the culture.

  • to me, just because something has been around for a while does not make it valuable. take for instance drugs.

  • Drugs aren't valuable? I don't do drugs but I'm pretty sure people find drugs rather valuable.

  • I guess this is just one of those cases where one man's trash is another man's treasure. I don't see any value in drugs because of what they've done to my dad's life in the past. note that I'm talking about illegal drugs.

  • Fora TV - The world is fucking.

  • no it's been around always,

it's the lack of that made it explode,

moderation and finding the middle is the solution.

the only big problem with sex is when it is used in advertisements to sale products.

  • @TheElefaunt

I agree, the absolute absurd nature of societies deluded puritanical idyllic persona has corrupted what it is to be human and allow a balance to individuality.

The contradictions are endless and increasingly ridiculous.

I detest the pretentiousness that permeates average everyday life.

I guess the question is can we trust each other with such openness? Well of course not...were much too infantile for that.

  • Right, because products of capitalism cannot educate or liberate.

  • @Congest

    A Marxist? Hahahahahaa.

  • lmao mate porn is a capitalist product therefore it cannot liberate or educate? so socialist porn does these things? wow stalin and mao have anal sex must really turn you on.

  • Is it just me or did this guy not make a coherent argument. I'm sure most of us can read between the lines, but that was just some stupid rambling.

  • it seems to me he was making a correlation between the sexual liberation movement of the 60's and 70's and the legal battles over decriminalization of pornography.

  • Nonsense! Pornography is a straight person's trip. Pornography is not about sex it's about negative attitudes toward the body (religion). The sexual revolution was a step towards a healthy attitude and paradoxically de-emphasized sex as we know it. "We weren't concerned so much about getting into

girls' panties--there were no panties!" Paul Kantner Jefferson Airplane. This guy is obviously hung up on non-sexual concerns!

  • here's to more discourse about intercourse.

  • @Temple420org

Says the guy who's likely to have a torture and execution tool hanging around his neck and who teaches children about human sacrifice and cannibalism (however metaphorical) as something good and beautiful.

Don't give me shit about glorification of anything we consider bad, you hypocrite.

  • I didn't meant to give you anything. I have just worked with women who have been victimized in the porn industry. They were forced to take drugs and were abused physically. I just don't support that.

  • first you should demonstrate that there is such thing as "sin" (maybe demonstrate the existence of a god before that). Then demonstrate that porn is a sin.

Why is sex so horrible with your religion? It's perfectly normal and natural to have sexual desires. And while I agree that it is horrible that women get victimized, I don't think that that's a valid argument for considering pornography, in general, a "sin".

  • @ScientiaVeritasEtLux

I think H.L. Mencken said it best: "Puritanism - the haunting fear that someone, somewhere, may be happy."

  • If you study pornography too much you become like this guy. 8-)
