  • This is a piece of junk! The remote only works half the times. It will ask you to set the date and time everytime you unplug it. It will not record sometimes. Just garbage!

  • Can u use it for ps3 and then plug it in the computer and would the quality come out good or hd

  • can u record xbox 360 vids like call of duty?

  • And can you play back on your computer?

  • Can you record a VHS tape with this?

  • @FamilyGuyFanatic800 You can easily connect a VCR to this to convert video from a VHS tape to a memory card. I did this before with great results.

  • @MrSparkel9 okay thank you, the reason i ask is because ive seen videos on youtube that have been recorded with this product. ive wanted one of these for over a year now and im hoping to get one for christmas. and can you see what ur recording when you record a vhs tape?

  • @FamilyGuyFanatic800 You can see what you are recording but not when you select the highest resolution setting (I believe you can still hear what you are recording though). On the medium resolution setting you can view while recording.

  • @MrSparkel9 thank you so much for your help. and hey, whats ur name? i wanna add you on facebook.

  • @MrSparkel9 or at least hear what ur recording?

  • Also if you are using the Component Input you can record from that source as well, but the footage will appear B&W.

  • This was how I set up mine-I created a loop by plugging the AV IN cables to the AV OUT of my television, then plugged the AV OUT cables into the Input 2 of my Television (Input 1 is a Component jack). This resolved the issue of staring at a blank screen while recording, plus allowed me to set up the V-Mate using the PiP feature. I then used the Coaxial Inputs & Input 3 to record my videos. The WipEout vids & trailers on my YouTube channel were recorded using this method :)

  • hey south park good show

  • whats the max res it will record at?

  • how long can you record on this thing

  • I haven't tried filling up a memory card but I would guess up to 4-6 hours on a 4GB card.

  • @MrSparkel9 At the resolution & FPS it should hold about 6 1/2 hours on a 4GB card.

  • So you can't see the video and record at the same time? That's not good...

  • this was going to be my same question :-\

  • If you record at a lower quality you can watch while you record. If u record at a higher quality it wont show. :-/

  • True, on the highest quality recording setting you can't see whats being recorded :(

  • an u for example play a game in the tv and record at the same time? like record ur gameplay?

  • You can record and watch whats being recorded but not on the highest quality setting.

  • Just wondering, i just bought one of these a few weeks ago, but i wanted to record off my tv. i have brighthouse, with no cable box. It uses a cable wire, which cant plug directly into the vmate. Is there a way to record directly from my t.v. even though i dont have satalite? (like i dont wanna record from a dvd player or cable box, cuz im not using either, just a tv) Thanks!

  • I don't think so unless the TV has a video output.

  • ok,thx ;)

  • do you have to bye in and out puts self or is it whit the recorder?

  • @ZoMainia97 the input and output cables are included

  • does this thing record to

  • What sucks is the product advertising. Can't get it in Canada because looser stores like Staples crappy depot, The retarded Source and wack mart have fucking product buying moron looser's working for these looser stores. I want one really bad and it's pissing me off that SanDisk online store for Canada is SOLD OUT! This really sucks. This unit does not affect Canadian Copyright laws, considering we have format loop holes and plus Canadian Citizens make the laws now. Canada will never have DMCA.

  • Can you record and see the video at the same time?

  • See other replies...
