The San Joaquin Valley and related areas have such a high unemployment rate due to the failing ag business. If you are so sure of your figures, then you need to look up the unemployment rates in many of the Counties are in the double digits. The high unemployment in Mendota has been constant year round due to the man made and natural drought. No water, no agriculture, no jobs, no CA income. Why would I ever want to save you trouble? One sentence to me is one less you spend on something important.

1976tiger: actually, tkca25 is correct with the unemployment in Mendota, but the average unemployment rate is 12.7 in CA. The San Joaquin Valley and related areas have such a high unemployment rate due to the failing ag business. Natural drought, legislators, environmentalists and a Judge have cut the amount of water available for farming. So far, 500,000 acres have been deemed lost. Just look up the Delta Smelt, Harbor Mouse and the San Joaquin Valley. The whole mess can be cleared up there.
