  • judo power

  • Yep it's a kind of cross lapel choke. Komuro explains this choke thoroughly in his dvd. It's simple and really efective.

  • I think he got him in a Cross lapel choke. Does anyone know??

  • yea I think thats what he caught him with. At 5:20 you can see him switch the lapel from his left hand to the right and start to pull...Thats my guess in anyways.

  • @matman17 I know the cross lapel choke but that was an over under lapel choke applied backwords or from a different angle, or exactly would be called in BJJ Ezekiel choke.

  • I wish him and Aoki would have a rematch!

He Got beaten by a Judo-BJJ guy!

  • his was lucky!

  • I think you mean "whole" not "hole."

  • The Gracies learned from Mitsuyo Maeda who learned only Kodokan Judo(Ju-jutsu). The newaza have great importance in Kosen Judo (Highschool/University). In the end it's all Ju-jutsu with the inclusion of sportive competition wich makes it different from traditional Ju-jutsu.

  • Judo is the evolution of jujutsu, that was Jigoro Kano sensei's vision, eliminating strikes and dangerous tecniques, so judo evolved from jujutsu but it has a hole different feeling.

  • Yea he competes in BJJ now however he learnt all his ground work at Tsukuba university. It's quit obvious also with the Judo technique he uses frequently called sode garuma which I think BJJ call it Komlock.

  • It's spelt Sode Guruma and BJJ ppl call it an Ezikiel choke.(don't know the spelling to the BJJ term)But, who cares.

  • Koji Komuro great Judo Man from Tsukubu Uni

  • Judo and BJJ

  • Brazilian Jujitsu = ass flopping.
