That is a great engine but how difficult was it to fit into the small engine bay. I had an '89 with the 22R and there was not a whole lot of room to spare. I cannot imagine an inline 6.

I've should of known. I told him the day of this race that he needed to adjust his rev limiter. If he would of got rid of that nasty hold on his fuel line and put that motegi exhaust system on, he would of been running 7's.

@MOLRobocop Try an F20C ;) 724whp on stock everything but the turbo kit itself. Only thing wrong was headgasket was going out at dyno day. W/ internals and a few things for reliability its a machine built for racin' son! ;)

it's all about the weight transfer. the biggest help was getting the front shocks to extend quickly and giving a little more travel

I use a turbo 400 trans and ford 9in rearend. I used the toyota rearend with a TRD limited slip for a long time. Ran a 9.79 with that set up. Finally broke an axle at a really sticky track.

i have the same truck 89 single cab currently with a 22re i was thinking of lc engineering it with building it up but the jz has crossed my mind a alot of times along with a twin turbo 350 but id like to keep it yota any advice?

its all steel weighs in around 2850. I still have fully built 22r bottom end and a bunch of other parts if your interested

22r ran great. Lightened crank, pauter rods, JE pistons... It was turboed with a T3/T4 put out around 400hp ran low 12's. I always had a problem with the trans shifting, it would hang in gear until the rev's came down enough.

i got ya. i am fully fiberglassing the truck. hood, fenders, i tossed the bed and am goin to make a box tube frame and hang fiberglass sides on it. dash was ripped out and i am goin to put an aluminum one back in it. and have a ladder bar rear suspension with coil-overs, locker and lowering my ring and pinion to a 456. i hope cutting all that weight will make me fast. what kind of suspension are you running?
