  • IGUALITITO!!! a Ian que bestia jaja saludos de peru

  • what u called limitation is a miss understangind from u. u call limitation to some absence" of speed or any stupid thing that u think that any guitarplayer must have thats how he wanted to sound like imo n thats isnt a limitation thats an artist

  • joy divison could be great without this very poor guitar player !

actors are better thna the originals guys !

  • @kikourouiade38 i disagree - i think the way bernard sumner worked around his own limitations as a guitarist at that time was part of what made joy division sound interesting and original.

  • is the REAL IAN CURTIS OR AN ACTOR?

  • 24 hour party people

  • Caralho! O cara É IGUAL AO IAN!

  • cuevana.tv the best

  • where can i download this movie? anyone?

  • @fadxedge Go and buy it you cheapskate

  • I saw the film the week it came out having been a JD fan since I was 15. I was kind of dreading it but excited and I left the cinema stunned at how good the film was. Surely one of the best biopics ever made. A stunning success.

  • @LiberopoulosSsSs control XD

  • thats really great...

  • its fucking coollll..great song...

  • Where can I learn to play the spray can?

  • Ian curtis had some talent i love his moves trully awsome

  • I'm so glad my brother watched this with me. He's the one that got me into Joy Division in the first place.

  • Joy division are one of the best bands ever but the teardrop explodes is better

  • This is the first movie from Anto Corbein A dutch guy who started out as a photografer and i must say its a class on its own. Very good on its own way . I heard of the joy division before but the movie really got me into them. I love to see his new movie with goerge cloony. I KNOW MY gf would love it!

  • Is that really how it was recorded at 0:18? Like with the aerosol??

  • Bono is a wank wad

  • Just watched Control it was a joy to behold Mr Ian Curtis you may have been a tormented soul but your music will last forever.Thank you dear sir.

  • Ian curtis looks well like Jack o'connell :D

  • WOW!!!! Jim Breuer looks just like him.

  • best movie apart from quadrophenia

  • Hi Guys and Ladies,

Keen fans of Joy Division as well, Dataraper produced in 2010 a personal tribute to this genius that was Ian Curtis. Have a listen if you desire to "Patchwork Lanscape", on Dataraperclub.

Thx a lot in anticipation. Cheers.

  • Holy Shit !! She's Lost Control sped up sounds fucken amazing !! I got to increase the bpm of this song just as fast for my ipod. ... I just lost control unbelievable !!

  • @Lustrum0005

plenty of versions played at this speed live

  • Youtube/WISPRWORLD

  • control is such an amazing movie. so much depression, music, sex, personality, music history... Sam Riley is unique in the role of Ian Curtis. Deepest respect.

  • LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this track!! As a teenager in the late 70s, I'm ashamed to admit that the only Joy Division song I ever paid attention to/knew of was "Love Will Tear Us Apart"! Whilst there's absolutely nothing wrong in that, but to think all these years ago and I hadn't gone out of my way to listen to their other stuff! I'm going out to buy the Best Of CD tomorrow:) Can't Wait!!PS: I wish Sam Riley et al could've made a whole tribute album to JD! They're only featured once on Control!

  • im 17 and this is my favourite film ever!.. No age limit for this kind of musical genious!

  • I liked the film a lot, especially because it reflects the real feelings of people during the 70/80. There was a huge change between being "in" and "out" of society. Joy Division was a pioneer (such as were the Sex Pistols with Anarchy in the UK). My parents did not allow me to buy the LP's of them (I did it anyway). Greetings to ya all

  • qualquer coisa de espectacular!...

  • All actors had taught the all ''Joy Division'' songs and+their roles!! Incredible simply!!

  • The best band of whole ''new wave'' movement!!

  • This kid should have gotten an oscar, He's a younger and living Heath Ledger. He'll be big, give him some time...and if the acting thing dosen't pan out he can always start a band;could be interesting.

  • @109coastie he was in a band called 10,000 thins and to tell you the truth, its better that he sticks to acting :P

  • is great movie.....and good looking .too.

  • This movie make me chills...at the final my eyes tears...always...proud to be Joy Division fan.

  • Indeed a awesome fucking movie :)

  • lastima k o viene a Perú, genio....!!!..ya veré como consigo la pelicula

  • I DO NOT LIKE HOT DOGS

  • @lilpoindexter great scene.

  • Sam Riley is the best actor of his generation, period. Just incredible.

  • I can´t fucking believe it´s practically his FIRST job as an actor. Man when someone has the talent it works right from the very beginning! He´ll be in On The Road as Jack Kerouac and I just CAN´T WAIT. Sam Riley is one of the best actors of his generation, easily!

  • I really really really want this version of She´s Lost Control!

  • youtube.com/user/closetomodernmusic

  • This was a really good movie, I recommend it to everyone - even if you don't know Joy Division.

  • L'acteur Sam Riley est incroyable! Un film époustouflant, pour un groupe mythique.

  • uncanny, Zam Riley is great!

  • Cant belive its been 30 years since he died he was amazing and the film is great

  • I hope to fucking god JOY DIVISION never comes back.

    Nobody can fill Ian's shoes.

They were ahead of their time, and its unfortunate to the world Ian Curtis did what he did.

This actor however does a fantastic job of what i call "The Curtis Dance," and bringing the ghost back.

But please don't tour....then you might as well call it New Order.

  • @deathbypowerglove JOY DIVISION CANT COME BACK IAN IS GONE but not in our hearts

  • Great work.

  • In 1980 a ten year old boy learned that even if people speak your name with reverence, it can not shield you from a mad man's bullets or your own.

Good Bye, Ian and John, your names will be remembered as the rest of us fade into oblivion.

  • this was a great movie

  • I don't think that Sam Riley's voice and looks are that parallel to Ian Curtis, but his performance blows me away!

  • I saw this movie 3 times.. It's scary how much he looks like Ian Curtis. Just wondering if he used his own voice like Val Kilmir did in the film 'The Doors".

  • Yup he did. It doesn't quite reach the harrowing, monotous style of Curtis but it certainly has it's own eccentric charm. Overall, the perfomance completely embodies the idea and legend behind Curtis, more so than I think any biopic has ever been able to achieve.

  • R.I.P Ian Curtis 15 July 1956-18 May 1980

  • RIP bad boy

  • R.I.P Ian Genius lost :(

  • Hey, guys, I just uploaded Ian Curtis Tribute Video on my channel. It`s just final part of the movie called Control. I thought it was a very touching scene So, I hope you`re gonna like it. ...

    In Loving Memory of Ian Curtis(15 July 1956 - 18 May 1980).

    Peace & Love

    TheGigsixstringAge.

  • Saw movie first time few weeks ago, great viewing.

  • UNA PALABRA: "MAGNIFICO"

  • Its scary how much that guy looks sooo much like Ian. Truly it wasn't just Joy Division's loss, or music's, it was the world who is missing out too.

    Viva le Joy Division

  • awsum movie!! A must get DVD!

  • Stiff shit maggot - why wear a flag tosser?

  • The tempo isn't too fast, JD used to do it that fast when they played it live. The studio versions are slower, but live they used to rip through it.

  • The tempo is too fast.

  • the best movie , a masterpice

  • @evzdiver where can i find the movie??

  • @mirka226 youl get the film on a site called stage vu

  • @evzdiver Yes it is. Suburbia is #2.

  • Excellente cette version accélérée. Un classique...

  • Gone but NEVER forgotten

  • excellent la traduction française !!!

    RIP Ian :'(

  • Best fucking film ever.

  • this bloke was doing his best performance i dont think its far off the real thing i have watched allot of ians performances

  • watched this film last nyt was good

  • what movie is this?

  • control

    by anton corbijn

  • BEST MOVIE EVER CONTROL

  • thank you esomorey!

  • of course no one can play Ian well..

that's what makes Ian unique, aint that right?

  • Control is one of my favourite movies I (Y) Ian Curtis!!

  • The actor looks and sounds (when talking) more like Pete Doherty than Curtis lol.

  • Pete should have died at least a year or two ago, i fuckin hate smackheads, snotty faces, twisted lips, fake as fuck, mockney southern fuckers...

  • true that.

  • love tore him apart :(

  • His seizure's tore him apart.

  • ian curtis loved two women his whole life. the first one, he married. the second he met after he was married. he couldnt choose between them and it ate him away inside until he killed himself. ive never seen this movie, but thats what really happened.

  • don't take this as a personal attack but unless you were best friends with ian or knew exactly what was going through his mind you're just a spectator like everyone else. you're not in a position to state "that's what really happened."

i'm assuming you had never met ian curtis or knew either of his lovers? correct?

  • and depression caused by his poorly medicated epilepsy

  • I think the epilepsy that was starting to take over had more to do with it. He began to have more and more seizures during shows. I also think the girl that came to his business was always in the back of his mind because she ended of dying from on epileptic seizure at a young age.

Sure....the relationships had a lot to do with it, but I think he was just tired of dealing with his condition. In the late 70's/early 80's, epilepsy was still very misdiagnosed and misunderstood.

  • Rarely does suicide, or serious depression have such rational (or irrational?) causes. It's an illness, plain and simple.

People cheat on their partners every day.

  • I think it is worth pointing out that his condition and its bad medication were not the only problems he had by the end. He was struggling to come to grips with the pressures of newfound fame, had had an affair and was trying to keep his marriage together, and by all account had actually made up his mind to leave the band. A friend of his once said his songs were actually terrible because "he really meant all of it"

  • I live in Peru.

But trust me...I would have payed 100.000$ just to see them live, in the 70's.

    I am fucking serious.

  • Stop bitching and enjoy him!

  • Yep, this scene says it all. The bitch did him in. And everyone is going to jump on me for saying this but, I like this version better then the actual Joy Division version. GASP!

  • I don't think it's fair to blame it on Debbie Curtis. I doubt she forced him at gunpoint into marriage. I think it's safe to say that the mental illness, epilepsy, and depression also played a part in the way things went down.

  • You are actually completely right. But the film did paint an ugly picture.

  • i agree about the film showing debbie in quite a bad light, which is odd as she helped work on it

  • i dont think at all the film showes woodruff in a bad light.. id u r refering to this scene, i think it rather showes curtis in a bad light

  • Yeah, this scene shows Ian in a very bad light. I mean Ian was hardly a very good person to Debbie and you see that completley in the film.

But i'm just saying when I watched this, I didn't instantly feel really sorry for her too much but probably because I didn't think Ian and her were a very good match. I'm sure she's a very nice person and now I do, in general, feel very sorry for her.

  • I mean when I watched the film, not this scene.

  • Depends on how you interpret it. 'The bitch did him in' says it all, it's how the majority of folks view any situation involving a man going to pieces. Some bitch is to blame. Sad, very sad.

  • This looked like it was filmed like yesterday. Seeing of the quality of film.

  • it was you berk

  • It is a fairly recent film.

  • I wish I was alive in the 70's!

  • me too

  • I still have his autograph and a drawing he did for me in ballpoint pen...saw the guys 3 times, met them all and they were really wonderful to me.

    thanx for this

  • No offense, but I'm gonna call bullshit

  • Since his favourites include bowie and the smiths(placing him at the correct age) why call bullshit? Can Curtis not write, or draw? Is it documented that he never ever ever interacted with his fans?

Also, you did soooo mean offense.

  • i've never seen a most beautiful film than this

  • Sam Riley is the spitting image of Ian Curtis!

  • except for the blue eyes..

  • @Parnas7 i disagree, now cillian murphy? that is a SPITTING image of ian.

  • I know. Eerie isnt it?

  • Toni Willson is too serious... He needs moor of a wanker about him. And a cheezy pation for what he knows he is seing as rock n roll

  • genius...

    awesome...

    this is so fuckin awesome...

  • awesome

  • Unique:)

  • out of control...out of the space

  • what is this song ???

  • it's called "SHE's LOST CONTROL" by Joy Devision

  • cheers mate

  • it's not the original, it's a cover

  • I like the cover better

  • They are pretty much the same song. To call it a cover is strange anyway, it's more of a reinactment. The stiff that minus oned your comment needs to loosen up.

  • what's bad is I watched this movie probably 10 times before i went out and picked up any of the stuff. And I listened to this song and didnt really care for it just because it is a little different, A little slower, Ian's voice is much deeper. I've grown to love it but my wife still seems to like the guys doing from the movie a little better.

  • Fuck the movie, Ian rules

  • A brilliant performance in a brilliant film. I stumbled on it one day while I was channel surfing.. I couldn't stop watching it. Instantly became one of my favourite all time films..

  • Yo dude, that's so funny.....exactly what happen to me, I thought the film was awesome!!.....this past monday I found it on showtime.

  • Really great movie! In my opinion - best documentary film about star ever!

    Ian Curtis rox!

  • im glad someone is making sense on this thread!

  • I started smoking after I saw this movie haha. Ian is a poet

  • was a poet

  • How did that get three thumbs?

  • @SarahMacgregor: People like the movie enough to overlook typos.

  • i love how their in the studio recording SHE'S LOST CONTROL then it cuts TO A LIVE CONCERT Fuck Yeah Sam Riley Does it alll badass i think they did a good choice on who they picked to PLay IAN MAY 18 is coming up WE ALL MISS U IAN i will party on MAY18 in memory of You not in memory of your death but on How we all remember anD Miss YOU IAN
