Yes Great Cover. Luv The Stones, Love this song and the Video The Stones did of it, shot on St. Marks Place and 2nd Ave. in New York, a block I lived on for 11 years.
How can you not love Eddie's beautiful voice. I love every cover he has ever done and this is a very good song by the Stones. Always liked it alot.: )
Great cover. One of the reasons that Pearl Jam can cover songs so well is the emotion that Eddie puts into the vocals. He seems to know what the original writers were thinking when they put words onto paper.
hey I've a question.....what camera you used to record the video? the audio and video quality are excellent!!!....and I'm about to buy a new camera so I'll be thankfull for your help =)

@mechslave who says a cover has to be the same as the original?...nothing is as good as the original..but its nice to see bands of this calibar pay respect to the greats from the past
only one thing that I miss is saxophone, besides everything Pearl Jam touch is better than original if it is possible and if not - is as good as it :)

This was an average cover as most PJ covers are. But it's cool they did it. Fortunate Son is probably their best cover, and that's just okay. Too bad Eddie is a flaming idiot and a flull-blown asshole.
Yeah, so what are you going to do about it? Put on Vs. and wish it was 1994 again? Cry angry tears into your beat up flannel shirt? Smoke a joint and wish you weren't a line cook at Burger King? Loser.
No thanks, I don't smoke. Nor do I work in Burger King. And yeah I might listen to Vs, but I don't wish it was 1994 because then I would only be 3 years old. I do however wish I grew up as a teenager in the 90s then I would have been surrounded by good music. And for the record Pearl Jam have done some of the greatest covers ever so shut the fuck up. You're obviously a judgmental prick that knows nothing about anything. Fuck off you're opinions and presence aren't welcome here.
Just like a Pearl Jam fan. You want to spew your opinion, but when somebody else has one different than yours, you call them a prick and tell them to shut up. Ironically, I was at a PJ show when Eddie ranted about political shit. The crowd booed him and told him to shut up and sing. So he whines, "There's free speech, man!" What?!!! Somebody just expressed free speech and you got mad, Eddie! Pearl Jam logic.
BTW, I'm glad to hear you don't smoke weed. At least your stupidity is organic.
Its not that you had a different opinion to me, you said eddie was a prick and a full blown asshole or something along those lines, when everyone knows hes a really nice down to earth guy, and in my and many other peoples opinions one of the greatest singer/song writers of our time. I just thought what you said was a little harsh hence the reply. (And I hate it when anyone rants about political shit as well, but Eddie is no Bono or Stipe)
You're right, Xseries, my initial comments about EV were harsh. As were my comments to you. Sorry. Believe it or not, I am a PJ fan. But EV's rant pissed me off. It was right after 9/11 and I felt the comments were a little over the top. (I live in NYC and saw the towers fall.) In an interview EV trashed people who didn't agree with him. It seemed angry and spiteful. I took umbrage. But Eddie probably is a good soul, and passionately believes what he's saying. I'm sorry I offended people here.
I appreciate that, its nice to see you aren't like most of the pricks on youtube that like to draw out pointless arguments. I apoligize also, even although I know that you won't have taken any offense to anything I said because it seems it isn't true. Nonetheless I'm also sorry. And just out of curiousity have you seen Eddie Vedder and Neil Young at the 9/11 tribute for heroes performing the song Long Road? Its a very emotional and respectful performance. And I wish I stayed in NYC, I love it.
Yeah, it's funny how people can get all worked up on these comment streams. It's not normally my style. Can't say I ever saw the EV and Neil Young duet. I'll have to see if it's on here.
that's a funny rank about weed. I used to say to non-pot smokers; "Here, smoke this! At least now you'll have an excuse for your stupidity!" And I'm the one handing them the joint! Strangely enough, weed doesn't slow me down at all. It actually fuels me. People are either smart or dumb regardless. Pot just relaxes you and gives you the mega munchies. Nothing more. Unless you smoke that high test Kryptonite shit that they design in labs. That shit is practically Acid! Yikes!
Easy with the chronic my friend. It may seem harmless, but I have a friend who sells his ass on the street for a couple hits off a dirt weed roach. it's pathetic. I'm like, "Dude, the least you can do is get hooked on crack if you're gonna sell yourself to freaks." But seriously, easy with that stuff. It kills brain cells and they never come back, as you can tell from my posts. And those Ho Ho binges can really put the wait on.
Fantastic cover! I love the original, but this version is equally great and much smoother - like Vedder's having a conversation with each of us - one on one. Very nice!
Great cover . I sat here wondering if Vedder was going to jump to his feet , put his hands on his hips , and start prissing back and forth accross the stage ... would've been funny !
no where near as good as the original, but pearl jam knows that. i'm a big big PJ fan, and its nice to know the band shares some of my personal favorites. rock on, i can't wait for the solo tour my tix just came!!!
I like this version too, but the original is still better. I'd never heard this, but is sounds relly cool. Besides the best guy at stealing other music and building a career off making crappy hits from other people good songs and work is Puff Daddy or Coco Puff or whatever he's going by these day.
Fine rendition of Stones song. Criminally this song is NOT on the Stones 40 Licks CD!! Anyway Eddie has just produced a cover comparable to the Stones. Thanks for posting this.
