I agree that children don't need to be taken and they become a victim in the foster care system. As they are taken and alienated from their family from the start. I'm a grandmother that has moved from Nevada to Oklahoma to fight for my grandchildren that's in the foster care system. My grandsons 5 of them are in the system being moved from placement to placement and the system don't want to give them to me. Yet they are destined to adopt them out. I don 't even have visitation with my babies.
Not all children that CPS takes into custody don't have abusive parents.They take children from good loving poor families to get more federal funding.I just find it odd that there is just so many children in CPS system and don't believe that all of them are abused until they get into the CPS system.

foster home is just part of the system. It includes lockdown facilites juvenile halls group homes and 5150 the system took me , to horrible places like mental instutions and lock down facilites. and it wasnt my fault i was just a child ,the system had no mercy....they took away years of my life

I think its nice that the lady helps. My foster parents help with things after you turn 18, but ONLY if you stay in foster care. which basically nobody wants to do because they didnt wanna be there in the first place. :(
that is soo not true.. shootupthetunes.. well there is a learge group of us here in alaska that will beg to differ that there will NOT be change.. once we get a hold of things.. there WILL be change best believe that we WILL make a CHANGE.. that is for sure!! we can do it and they will see it happen!!
They make mothers incapable by tearing her down. In case anyone is interested it cost about 10,000 $ mo. To keep one kid in the system.
