  • I LOVE THE OLDEN TIMES SO MUCH, I WISH I WERE BORN DURIN' THOSE YEARS

  • Cat on a Hot Tin Roof is the passionate story of conflict between people.

Isn't that almost the definition for any story?

  • @lasse4eva Yeah, I know what you mean. It also goes to show how one misunderstanding can create so much pain. "When A Marriage Goes On The Rocks, The "Rocks" Are There!" Dear God, that line is still so relevant today as it was yesterday.

  • That scene at 0:31 get me every time you actually believe her desperation. You feel for her.

  • Best Paul Newman & Liz Taylor movie!! My favorite!!

  • R.I.P. Liz Taylor.

  • I love how they don't mention the fact that the play's major focuses homosexuality.

  • @IMbirdieful Yeah, the movie avoided any references to homosexuality. Tennessee Williams was pissed.

  • @CoolerKing37 I can see why he'd be pissed! That's one of the main focuses in the play! But wait, how coul they avoid any reference to homosexuality, when the script blatantly discusses the subject? Or did the film version cut out those parts?

  • @IMbirdieful They were just sorta vague about Brick's relationship with Skipper, that they were just really good pals and teammates. Also the ending's bit different with Brick and Big Daddy having a scene where they begin to reconcile with each other. The movie's still pretty good though. Very different from the play, but worth seeing for the acting.

  • @CoolerKing37 Well I work at a live theatre company, so I get to see the real version all the time. No point in watching the movie... Maybe one day :P

  • is this a love story? or does it end up to be one?

  • What a movie this is!! A tour de force performances all around, but Taylor stole it, snatched it from anyone else, even the big daddy actor came second, just wow!

  • paul newman is the hottest hunk i've seen ... better bet than any leo's or brads or toms or clooneys ... i'm almost 40 years younger than him now yet i'm madly in love with him ... wish he was alive. Elizabeth taylor is one pretty woman ... the prettiest i've seen ... RIP to both of them ...

  • I just can't stop watching this movie. It makes me so sad to know she's passed from this world.

    R.I.P. Dame Elizabeth Taylor

  • ........condoglianze Brick

  • This film was awesome. And maggie the cat is still alive R.I.P .

  • It seems that it´s impossible today to send a comment on Youtube.

Thank you so much Michuchu for sharing the video that with your kind permission I am addind it to my favorites.

What to say about two of the best actors of the history of the movie production?

R.I.P. Elizabeth Taylor not only a wonderful actress but one of the most beautiful woman in the wordl and a very generous and good person.

  • Classic movies are the best.

RIP Liz, You were a great actress in golden Hollywood era.

  • MAGGIE THE CAT IS DEAD

    R.I.P.

  • R.I.P Dame Elizabeth Taylor. Your a true Hollywood classic Icon!

  • @StraightFashionMan

You will loose everything if you keep on drinking... don't you love anyone? not even yourself?

  • @trippa69

No, I don't love anyone. Not even myself. You got a problem with that?

  • Aw damn, no she di'int!

Oh shit he just chucked a cane at that bitch!

  • TCM is running a Paul Newman Marathin today. I watched this on today. AWESOME!!! They just don't make'em like that anymore.

  • My god Paul Newman. Enough Said

  • is this movie worth 2 buy?

  • @matthewinnj08 Oh, yes.

  • ah elizabeth taylor the last great actress of the hollywood golden age

  • No man was ever better looking than Paul Newman at this time of his life. Holy crap.

  • @adsank1 I totally agree!! At this time during his life, Paul is so good looking, actually, beyond good looking. He was just dreamy that it hurts my heart to just look at him...

  • This is by far the best movie produced in my humble opinion.

Elizabeth Taylor at her best, Paul Newman looks incredible, and the whole cast is absolutely convincing.

  • @JuanMacready Ignorant.

  • Great movie! <3

  • I read that they offered Brick's role to Elvis.

  • @80sDOOLfan that would have been awful

  • @lissellol HAH! That's what I thought too..

  • LOOOVE this movie!!!:)

  • why does she say "maggie the cat is alive"

  • read the play/watch the movie, then you'll know (-;

  • well i missed the beginning =(

  • because she hates feeling like a zombie...

  • maggie the cat [the pussy variety, that is] needs to 'get sorted out' the beefcurtains have been ripped off the rod because the rod has a BIG secret [...] the more she wants the less he does...we've all been there or will at some point in our lives.

  • Secret about his dad right? I don't understand her character but I liked the movie.

  • because she wants him to see, she is still there to help him. He keeps on sobbing about the past and about his dead friend skippie ( I think thats his name ). What she really tells is: i'm here to help, i'm alive, skippie isn't, so let him go. I hope i'm correct with this :D

  • it's skipper :D his name :D

  • @mzfiesty - Because she wants him to stop dreaming about skipper, who is dead, and focus on her.

  • LOVE this movie and Liz!

  • I freaking love this movie.

Ahhhh Paul Newman and Elizabeth Taylor

are like the hottest on screen couple ever.

If they had kids, they would have the prettiest eyes EVER

Not to mention the prettiest parents :]

  • great movie! paul newman and liz taylor are both awesome!!

  • if i could fuck a movie, it would prob be this one.

  • LMAO.

Oh MY God, you are completely right.

  • lol

    i'm glad you agree

  • i just read the play for english and i enjoyed it a lot. i will probably ask my dad if he can rent it off of netflix for me.

  • I finally watched it, it was great. I understand why the fuss now. Although, as almost always, the book sounds even better

  • Loves! :)

  • "Jump off the roof Maggie, jump off!"

    Was he talking to me?

    (Probably)

  • Do you have the clip where Brick tells Maggie her claws are showin'?

  • One of the greatest in cinema has left us.
