  • I almost dozed off at 1:36 and went and made some coffee ;0) Even some talking would help!

  • Hi Everyone, The model is AA10. We just got one and are going to install it this week. Putting the floor down as we speak!

  • jesus christ, 7 minutes to show what could have been a 30 second video. what a jerk.

  • @weyutome: Do you know which model of Werner is yours? Thank you for taking the time to show us this solution.

  • very helpful video! I was debating about getting one for my loft and was wondering how they attached. Thank you for posting this video. It helped me see clearly what I'd need to attach the ladder. :)

  • These ladders are useless when you need to keep your trap door fully insulated.

  • This was PAINFUL to watch. You could (should) edit this down to about half the time.

  • @ikree8 I disagree. I liked it a lot, and found the pace just right. Better to make it slow and systematic enough for everybody. Tastes will differ.

  • Glad I watched this video first before attempting installation of the ladder. The Werner instructions, as you pointed out in your comment, call for a drop down door. I like your method much better.

  • Amazon lists this for $220. I think a 7 foot Werner fiberglass ladder is only slightly less convenient, while more useful and less expensive (about $90 at Amazon). The 7 foot ladder wins.

  • @BoogieWithStew Not if you have poor balance or are elderly. Notice this gentleman uses the hand rail at the top when he transfers into the attic and when he begins to descend. This is a far more secure solution for many people. Also: Who wants to store an 8 foot ladder (not 7 ft for full ht.) in an upstairs room in a small home?

  • Useless as tits on a bull!

  • If the frame were not recessed into the ceiling, the collasped ladder would be housed in the attic opening & the existing push-up attic door would have no place to go. Notice that the Werner instructions call for a DROP-DOWN attic door which would require more work to install.

  • You've done a great job and a great service to others wanting to install the kit. I will use your video as a guide as I install mine. Werner should pay you something. I am puzzled about one thing. Why was it necessary to recess the frame into the ceiling?

  • @4287765 I think he did that so he could use the existing push-up door. Otherwise the ladder would probably block it.

  • Werner makes a good product, and stands behind them.

  • Very good job

  • Good video but the guy is mute. It would be less creepy if he talked.

  • Very good, Very Thorough, No commentary just the photographic evidence of how simple and effective this stair is-I love it!
