The second song, Darlin', with those fuzzy washed out guitars sounds like late '80s, early '90s shoegaze to me. Kind of similar to My Bloody Valentine...that is a very good thing!

I'm not sure what they used for that solo, though. Sometimes it sounds like a distorted synth, other times like a guitar.
