my school was going to do this as their musical last year!!! but then they didnt hav enough funding...but their doing another musical this year! ...but it's high school musical and the drama teacher got fired cuz she called some kids fat and then her replacement quit cuz she hates kids and the 1st teacher casted every1 by looks so the person who plays troy hates to sing, dance, and act. my school sucks...

My mom HATES this musical and whenever she mentions that fact, which is often considering the fact I talk about TMM all the time, I just look at her with this look thats like "Wtf? How can you NOT love TMM?"

I adore Sutton! I wouldn't ever see a show that I know she was in without her. Shrek is actually the only show I saw her in live so I don't think I could see it without her.

It's that kind of mentality that has led to the Sutton Effect. I'm not saying Sutton's bad; I saw her live in Shrek, and was TOTALLY blown away! I think I forgot how to blink for the entire show, lol! But everyone who knows of Sutton Foster has her on this Olympian pedestal, and after she leaves a cast they judge her replacements by the same standards. Like Susan Egan in Millie; she's another great actress, but because she wasn't Sutton, the show closed shortly after she was replaced.

its usually not lip synched actually. However they play the recording only for people's TV, when they're performing live they do sing

well like. they ARE lip synching, because the audio is pre-recorded and all that. But that doesn't mean they aren't singing with it live too.

They just aren't mic-ed and people watching on TV can only hear the pre-recorded stuff...but they still sing live.

I was in the Macy's Parade a few years ago, and we still sang (and danced) , but we had to record the singing beforehand as well.
