Moments of this really capture the atmosphere of life in an older, gentler, Japan, the houses, food, over-drinking etc. Though in the story it seems Steve went to high school in Japan and punched Takahashi san over a girl; yet they maintain their friendship (!?) Still I am sure they enjoyed making it, and I am glad I finally have saw this; beautiful ending, emotive slow fade and scenic cinematography.
The one and the only thing I feel regret to yukihiro is he never look back his then friends he used to be friends with,no dealing with David Palmer Steve Jansen or his old Japanese friends except from the members of YMO,
I know he is always into new style of music so YMO was but I bet some friends got hurts inside. Especially Steve must be one of them. I know how sweet yukihiro is on the other hand.

I almost cried feeling a gentleness and tenderness of previous Japanese people. My husband said 'Yukihiro loves Yasujiro Ozu.' who was a famous film director.
Got this as a 12" single at home,great track-probably took advice about the vocal from his brother as it does sound so similar.Should have been a hit to soom degree at least. GOOD ONE.!
