I can remember a day when Howard gave a shit about his show. now he makes more than ever and is actually on the show twice a week. Jackie,West,Gotfried. that was the lineup that rocketed the Stern show into the stratosphere. Howard doesn't give a shit anymore. He is making his money. Tune into the show at any time now. All you hear about is blackberry, beth, the hamptons, or Richard and Sal. Richard and Sal are the only good things coming out of that anal blackhole that is now the Stern Show.

Jackie was the best thing that happened to the Stern show. Not that he was all that funny, but he did have alot of shit you could bust his balls about...that was the fun of havin Jackie on the show for me...not to mention his laugh clips Fred would play during the news and such... I havnt laughed that hard since.

At least Artie f***ing talks and comments. Jackie was a f***ing mute and he thought he deserved more money. Listen to some of the old shows with say, Gilbert Gottfried and Jackie never says anything. Artie and Gilbert talk non-stop to each other often disrupting the show but with hilarious results.

I've never found Jackie to be all that hilarious, and I think Artie is much funnier (when he can manage to drag his morbidly obese ass out of his heroin/cupcake stupor and actually show up), but I'd definitely take Jackie over Artie. Just Jackie's cheerful personality was such a big part of the show's goofball personality...

(I do appreciate Artie, but more and more these days I feel that he brings a mostly negative, somewhat sad element to the show.)

You know something, the older I get, and the farther we are away from the good old days of Jackie on the show, the more I resent Howard and Robin for always bagging on Jackie and treating him like a piece of shit. Without Jackies writing, jokes, skits, daily contributions to the comedic chemistry on the show, and even his goofy laugh, the Stern Show would not be as successfull as it is now. I'm not saying Howard isn't funny, but you have to think "bigger" than just Howard. It was a TEAM effort!
