I think solos are pointless, and I know breakdowns should be a major part in Metal and is a big part in Metal. Why? Because the fast music, the hard palm muted riffs, sweeping etc. needs an easy part where you can relax, my band has breakdowns, and anyone that disagrees can go fuck themselves, if you don't like breakdowns don't listen to bands like the faceless, and dying fetus because they are death metal which have breakdowns.
