  • @Heavenfirst AMEN!!!! Thank you for commenting dear friend. The LAW of Moses was in three parts - Ceremonial, Judicial, Moral. Thank God the law was abolished for the Law only brought condemnation and could not save. Faith is always been the way men have been saved. Faith obeys the will of God and His instructions for us. Those instructions have changed at times for God has dealt with different men through various ways at different times and today He is dealing with men through GRACE.

  • (continued)... Faith is genuine only when good works are added to your belief. Almost everytime time the words belief and faith are mentioned in the Bible, it translates into a greek word called "pisteuo", which means to be totally convinced of something and to be FAITHFUL to that conviction. Jesus even warned of the penalty that many lukewarm and apostate christians will suffer when he returns. (Matthew 7:21-23).

  • @Nashhinton Good works only can come AFTER salvation and I understand we are created unto good works in Christ Jesus and are to walk in them (Eph 2:10) however this is brought about by the Holy Spirit that dwells within each believer and not by the letter of the LAW for the Law brings condemnation and wrath (Rom 4:15). If we understand why the Law was given then we would understand why as members of the Body of Christ we are not under the Law.

  • The Law was fulfilled by Christ. However that doesn't mean we should abolish the Law. Jesus didnt say stop obeying the Law and the ten commandments. He was actually expanding the law. Anyone who disobeys the law is sinning and will be held accountable on judgement day, or might even lose their salvation. What Paul was trying to tell us in Romans was that obeying the Law alone isnt satisfactory. He was condemning them for a lack of faith. He didnt say stop obeying the Law...

  • @Nashhinton Con't - The Law brought condemnation and we understand that ALL our sins were forgiven at Calvary. This includes sins of the past, present & future. If this were not so no one could be saved. We are totally forgiven and Christ's sacrifice was ALL sufficient to cleanse us of all trespasses. To place yourself under the Law is to place yourself under condemnation and you make Rom 8:1 void by doing so. You did not save yourself and cannot keep yourself saved. The glory belongs to God.

  • So are we supposed to ignore the law completely?....I'm not being facetious, I'm a new believer and feeling VERY lost with regards to the word.

  • @TheGraceofChrist When we speak of the Law it is all 623 or commandments contained in it and not just the Ten Commandments. The lawful use of the Law is to bring conviction and condemnation. It shows that all men have fallen short of the glory of God and need salvation (I Tim 1:8,9). Now if one thinks they are saved because they are following and keeping the Law they are using the it unlawfully and are not saved.

We are saved by grace through faith (Eph 2:8,9) and not by works of the Law-Gal2:16

  • @bibledoctrine I think I'm not expressing myself well, sorry. What I'm asking is are we to completely ignore the 623 precepts? I know we are saved (salvation) by grace alone, just wondering if were even supposed to try to incorperate Yahwey's precepts in our belief system? Thanks.

  • @TheGraceofChrist It is not possible to keep the Law today with all its commandments. Here is an example. Under the Law animal sacrifices were required for sin offering. Now would it be merely unnecessary to offer animal sacrifices today or would it be wrong in light of the fact the Jesus Christ shed His blood on the cross for our sins? I believe it would be wrong. Now we cannot pick and choose which of the commandments we will keep it we placed our self under the law, we must keep it all.

  • @bibledoctrine ok I'll discount them then. Just trying to figure out how to think, speak and act now...trying to renew my mind and confused.

  • @TheGraceofChrist Well I believe we should "walk in the Spirit" and by doing thus we will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. Israel could not keep the Law she contracted nor can we. If we place ourselves under the Law and the Law can only condemn we would make Rom 8:1 meaningless. Paul called the Law the "ministration of death" 2 Cor 3:7 because that is what the law brought. No man could keep the whole law without offense with the exception of one -CHRIST, our righteousness :)

  • @TheGraceofChrist The Holy Spirit changes from the inside and God has created us a new man in Christ. God is not saving the Old Nature. This is why Paul writes "But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law." Gal 5:18.

Being under grace and not the law is not a license to sin and Paul answers the question "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?" Answer "God forbid." Rom 6:1,2.

  • @bibledoctrine ok, lol...I'm pretty lost when it comes to scripture. All I have are my rivoting spriritual encounters and faith to go by at the moment. Have been reluctant to read the bible till I could figure out which one is most accurate...after what I've been through I don't want to be deceived...it's too critical to get things right this time. Thank you.

  • Amen! Awesome video, bro!

  • @ROMANSthruPHILEMON Thank you Daniel for the nice comment :) In Christ - John

  • Excellent teaching. God bless :)

  • I just realized a typo error in the video where I give Rom 6:15 as the reference to show that we are not under the law but under grace and it should have been Rom 6:14. I am sorry I did not proof read this better before posting the video and apologize if it caused confusion for anyone :)

  • @bibledoctrine No worries =) But you should increase the annotation display time, so people can read it (it disappears if u pause the vid). It's at 1:30 btw

  • @ROMANSthruPHILEMON Thank you my friend for pointing that out to me. I have corrected it :) Originally ot stayed up to long and I reset the time and did not realize how short I had made it. In Christ - John

  • Amen Brother. Great teaching...thank you.

  • Amen John, seems like this is a constant battle with many Christians. They hold to the doctrines of law and if one doesn't obey the law, then one can lose their salvation. It is a ever constant debate with them.

Hopefully the Holy spirit can reach those who are under this teaching.

    God bless,

    Linda

  • @carpentersdaughter2 Linda it is always so nice to hear from you my dear sister in Christ :) Thank you for watching and posting your comment. It is difficult to understand how one saved by grace through faith can afterward turn to the Law and yet the believers in Galatia did exactly that. The enemy will always use every means at his disposal to lead believers astray and hopefully jeep them ignorant to God's word rightly divided.

Hope all is well with you and the family. In Christ - John
