@Thenoisedoctor The thing is you are not in country where I reside now - Czech Republic so I need to do something myself. My neighbour is maniac constantly renovating his flat on daily basis for years on and on - it is a living hell. I do not have many to move to another flat neither to do some expensive renovation. So what I need is a cheap way to soundproof my indoor windows a doors and maybe the wall between me and him. I need to do it cheap and myself and that is what I meant - no solotion

Hi, I live on the 2nd floor of an apartment building, downstairs below me is a club/restaurant that blasts loud music, how do I block the noise that is coming through from the downstairs ceiling to my apartment? THe noise is loud and sometimes that is vibration too. The owner of the restaurant/club is not wiling to do anything about the noise. Should I put sheetrock on my floor to block the noise? What materials would I need and how would I do this?

I couldn't agree more. rather than paying your end to get some stress relief from sound proofing just murder the neighbours. That way you get the quiet life you wanted and the immense satisfaction of ridding the world of one or more arsholes.

I share a common wall on my condo. my new neighboors always play loud music, the bass just irritates me.. How's the noise reduction if I install soundproofing insulation on my side of wall but the noise is coming from the otherside?

quiet rock has numerous options. Most effective would be to just add a layer of drywall and matting underneath, you will not hear them again. If too much of a project, there is some material that can be hung or glued (panels(. With home theaters this technology has taken off in the last 10 years
