  • federer is better than nadal on clay. this miht sound stupud but

  • Federer was too stubborn to employ the drop shots on clay until 2008, by then Nadal was unbeatable on clay despite any tactics. Had he done it 2005-2007, he'd have won all those French Opens without a doubt. Federer is one of the biggest underachievers ever.

  • @manco82 16 grand slams warrants being the biggest underachiever ever ?!?! bollocks! he has been in 23 GS finals and lost 4 of them at the french to perhaps the greatest clay clay court player ever. What kills feds is the UE count, failure to convert BP's, the mental side of playing nadal, especially on clay and that he has to go for those tiring repeated shbh's as his slice is so ineffective due to rafa's immense footwork and court coverage.

  • @manco82 Rosewall won 8 slams and was runner up in 8 which means he had a much worse GS final record. If lendl had won all his slam finals he would have won 19 and instead won 8. Tilden was 14 from 22, borg was 11 from 16, connors and agassi were 8 from 15. There finals records are all worse than feds so before you come out with that drivel learn more about this great sport!

  • How on earth could Federer lose this set 6-3?

  • Fed had so many chances to convert break pts. He was outplaying Nadal for large portions of this set, but just didn't fully capitalize. A similar thing occurred in the Wimbledon final 2008, where Fed won just 1 of 12 break pts. You can't realistically hope to beat Rafa, who is relentless and determined on EVERY point, if you fail to break on 99% of your opportunities.

  • Yeah, stubbornness gets you far because it drives your belief in yourself, but it also has detrimental effects like making you try to win the same way over and over.

  • there are countless points here where fed only need to drop shot for easy points, but he stubborn about those weak forhands to nadal- and nadal hit the passing shots. the 1 hand backhand wasnt really lost fed those finals but the stupid tactic-less game he possed.

  • roger was just as good on clay in 2005-7 as nadal. the reason why he lost to nadal in this 3 of matches is bad shot makings. in 3 of the matches federer played good and solid only the first 2 sets.. and then crumble with poor forhands and let nadal hit easy passing shots. thats the what bring nadal the brake points and sets against fed, those sneaky passing shots cross court or DTL. federer never learn.

  • federer could have won this match.

What a waste. He always cant convert the break points.

  • @KaminariKatta A real shame isn't it? Would you like a tissue?

  • @ThePennsylvaniaKid I dint say it was a shame,neither did i want a tissue.

You gotta stop putting words into people's mouth.

If nadal cant convert break points against davydenko,i wonder if you would say the same...hmmmmm

  • @KaminariKatta Is this your way of finally admitting you are a Fed fan? This is a kind of "put yourself in my shoes & see how you like it" scenario where Nadal is Federer & Daydenko is Nadal. You want the truth? I'd probably just take the tissue & move on. You're obviously bothered by it. But me, I'd just get on with it. Fed's bad bp conversion rate is about as chronic as Nadal's bad knees. Ain't gonna get better. You just have to learn to live with it the best you can. No point in dwelling.

  • @ThePennsylvaniaKid You got a point.I really shouldnt be spending too much time on youtube. My volleyball nationals is coming,so really,I might be a fan fan or whatever,or maybe even a nadal fan,i dont know myself.

But if its volleyball, you can definetely come me in!

  • @ThePennsylvaniaKid

Did he say something that was untrue? Obviously you're a nadal fan, which makes it completely unacceptable for a Federer fan to lament his missed opportunities. Get some perspective, arsehole.

  • @jmsmi22 Aww, his knight and shining armor has arrived. How cute!

Anywayyyy, I was trolling him more than I was putting down Federer, tbh. For someone who claimed he wasn't a Fed fan, the guy was whining over quite a few videos about him. I was simply pointing that out & calling him out for his BS. Out of context, it's hard to see that. Anyway, it was a childish internet argument that went on far too long & over far too many videos. Nothing I'm proud of. But he was being fake, so whatever.

  • The story of Roger's life in losing matches to Nadal!!(gets tons of break points but rarely breaks!!)

  • on the ad court, it'd be crazy if you served to Nadal's forehand

  • Forstmann bet on this match.

  • It's not Fed's fault he couldn't convert those break points. Nadals serve on the ad side is pulling Fed off court. Even with Fed's footspeed, it's a lot of court to cover.

  • Roger is true class. love Roger

  • @Jaishankar100 I guess 2 or 3/16..

  • federer never gets the praise he deserves

how can ppl say he is not mentally as strong as nadal? nadal never does anything but topspin to his backhand, fed is the one who has to come up with magic

and thats even before we talk 16 grand slams to 7

  • its not that that federer choked.....nadal is just way too good for him on clay. nadal is just mentally stronger than federer and on critical points like break points, nadal will win.

  • Yeah Federer just choked like a dog really

  • @AndyRoddick70 Don't be stupid, Federer didn't choke. What makes Nadal special is how much he fights for points. And how he can pull winners off of ridiculous shots hit to him that to any other player would be a clean winner. Hitting those back breaks down the opponents mentally and physically. It's like McEnroe said, to win a single point off of Nadal you basically have to hit 5 winners.

  • @UzamakiSora1249 Yeah he does come up with a lot of rediculous shots when he needs them, but i think federer could have a least got one more of those break points to make the match a little more interesting, but nadal is still too good.

  • BEST QUALITY....its really nice
