I had to hold space, to make something out of it. I still die. I can't do anything else, because apparently I have to stay in the fucking VTOL that does not make any sense at all.
Why the fuck would you drive a VTOL, when you could just land it and kill the air enemies with the Gauss rifle? Much easier, and much smarter. Bad fucking game.

I did manage to fly. A while. But then at the third or second checkpoint, as I flew normally, the VTOL randomly just fell down. Every fucking time. I restarted the game 5 times, still same thing.

good game for casual gamers or pple new to gaming. not so good for gamers who want a challenge w/o bullshit. i hate fps where the AI can shoot accurate shots from long distances. a few shots is ok but almost every other bullet hits me (rainbow six does this too)? health reg is only ok if it makes sense, but it's no excuse to let the AI be the best shooters in the world. w/e, not that bad of a game, but still has some bad flaws.
Obvious video title is obvious. Yeah, Crysis is really pretty (at least, it is on my computer), but it's just not fun. The voice acting sucks, the plot sucks, the enemy AI is a bad joke (especially with the aliens). The gameplay in general is just not engaging.

My problem with Crysis was it was trying to run it at high settings and wouldn't let me change it back. Apparently this was sorted out with Warhead but I'm not so sure.

@dragonfelow17 Sure your computer can make crysis look realistic but things like the AI's are highly CPU dependent if you don't have a good CPU the AI is going to be stupid. Sure you may have a kick ass graphics but do you have a good CPU and mobo (mother board) to back it up. FYI things like the dashboard man can easily be cured with a physics card.
@au25 I swear to god, this shit didn't happen with DX10 high settings, DX9 medium and low settings the AI becomes retarded, maybe its a glitch and not purposeful scaling, but I have honestly tested this on me and my friends computers, and its always the same.
@FrankDaTank1218 crysis does not really have dx10. They just locked very high for vista. You can unlock it by copying the ini configuration by changing high to very high.
@au25 They aren't impossible to render in DX9, but things like god rays flicker and look crappy with the DX9 "workaround", maybe there is some problem with how you install, or compatability problems with your computer, but I don't have problems like this.

@au25 I dont know man, you aren't even close to the first person to report AI shittyness so, I'm sorry if I was a little angry, but just letting you know that these kinds of AI fails don't happen on my install of the game. In concept, on theory, and on paper, Crysis's AI is advanced, but if its performance differs greatly between PC's (maybe some CPU's make the AI go bonkers?), then I can see that as a big flaw.
@FrankDaTank1218 Its not cpus, its just that the ai breaks easilly. Hell i installed the game on 3 diffirent pcs and in all times i happen to see one enemy stuck at a machinegun emplacement at the third level.
Now warhead, i had no problems with ai. Only once i saw a physics bug that got me killed. I dont blame them, It had too many pieces.
@au25 So basically, they toned down things the player woldn't really notice any way, but they did improve the particles, explosions look even better in warhead. But the (early) maps were more open in Crysis original, like the Tank Village map.
@FrankDaTank1218 I did notice the changes but i dissagree warhead had much bigger and open levels that crysis. The first level was pretty big and the one in the aiport also. Now crysis? Well you mostly followed a path carved on a rocky island. There was no jungle or open spaces till you get to the valley, the one with the tanks.

Crysis rocks, after patching gameplay is working good, its graphic are still better than many new games, and it have just fantastic editor, which means that there is also hundreds of maps to download, its easy to make nice looking map with AI, missions and everything. AI is stupid sometimes, but not like in this video, at least after patches.

My experience with Crysis:
First impression was WOW these graphics are amazing!
20 minutes later I'm bored to death.
30 minutes later the game is being uninstalled.
Seriously what is the big deal with this game? Graphics are awesome but gameplay is almost laughable.

My problem with Crysis was it was trying to run it at high settings and wouldn't let me change it back. Apparently this was sorted out with Warhead but I'm not so sure.

If it was "garbage" then the game wouldnt run. If it was damaged, you would see artifacts. Sadly the gpu is not responsible for the ingame scripting and since that does not happen in any of each other games, its crysis that has shitty scripting.

@dragonfelow17 Sure your computer can make crysis look realistic but things like the AI's are highly CPU dependent if you don't have a good CPU the AI is going to be stupid. Sure you may have a kick ass graphics but do you have a good CPU and mobo (mother board) to back it up. FYI things like the dashboard man can easily be cured with a physics card.

@au25 I swear to god, this shit didn't happen with DX10 high settings, DX9 medium and low settings the AI becomes retarded, maybe its a glitch and not purposeful scaling, but I have honestly tested this on me and my friends computers, and its always the same.

@au25 They aren't impossible to render in DX9, but things like god rays flicker and look crappy with the DX9 "workaround", maybe there is some problem with how you install, or compatability problems with your computer, but I don't have problems like this.

@au25 I dont know man, you aren't even close to the first person to report AI shittyness so, I'm sorry if I was a little angry, but just letting you know that these kinds of AI fails don't happen on my install of the game. In concept, on theory, and on paper, Crysis's AI is advanced, but if its performance differs greatly between PC's (maybe some CPU's make the AI go bonkers?), then I can see that as a big flaw.

@FrankDaTank1218 Its not cpus, its just that the ai breaks easilly. Hell i installed the game on 3 diffirent pcs and in all times i happen to see one enemy stuck at a machinegun emplacement at the third level.
Now warhead, i had no problems with ai. Only once i saw a physics bug that got me killed. I dont blame them, It had too many pieces.

@au25 So basically, they toned down things the player woldn't really notice any way, but they did improve the particles, explosions look even better in warhead. But the (early) maps were more open in Crysis original, like the Tank Village map.

Well you mostly followed a path carved on a rocky island. There was no jungle or open spaces till you get to the valley, the one with the tanks.

Crysis rocks, after patching gameplay is working good, its graphic are still better than many new games, and it have just fantastic editor, which means that there is also hundreds of maps to download, its easy to make nice looking map with AI, missions and everything. AI is stupid sometimes, but not like in this video, at least after patches.
