Horchata in spain isn't the same horchata we get in the States. Horchata in the States is Mexican/Latin American. and both horchatas are made from different base ingredients such as different types of nuts of rice. In my opinion, horchatas all over the world are equally delicious!! :D

Its made from White rice and CInamon! Both very different but meant to do the same thing Stop the hotness in your mouth after you eat or ate something real hot and spicy! Spanish version you have to acquire a taste for. Mexican version is sweet! Mexican one is better and 100% of people will have the Mexican version instead

I LOVE horchata de chufa!!! It's super delicious and refreshing! I won't miss it especially on summer days. Here they also have it with some flavouring like coffee syrup added to the horchata and some shredded ice. God it's soooo good, you should try it when you come to Barcelona.

I think you're reffering to the Mexican version of Horchata. Mexican version is made with White Rice and Cinamon. Big difference from the Spanish version. Spanish version which is the original is meant to calm the hotness in your mouth after eating something very hot. Mexican version is a chill drink. Also to do the same but the taste is sweet. If you want nice chill sweet Orchata drink the Mexican version. Not the Spanish version. Two totally different things.
