what's the basic idea behind doing this kind of effect? because i would like to animate a stroke just like that.

@KojinSagara This animation was created within AFX, using the plugin 3d stroke multiple times. I drew a stroke ten times bigger than the screen size and moved it around in the plugin. I also used the repeater function inside the plugin. and the steps. I used shine on some layers and bevel on others.

I'm not sure it was clear. Let me know if you need any more info.

hey i was trying to make the same strokes...but i dont know how u get this depth into the scene??.. your strokes looks like they ran into the camera..on one side very thick and the end very thin.. i tryied it with 3d camera or the setting options of start thickness and end thickness..but i always look shit...did u use the camera or u get it with the settings??? ..... thanks

ricardoguarany, thanks for answer! Your works very dynamic and had a style. You've made a feeling of 3d space and I wounder how) Is the reflection on the floor just another stroke or real reflection? The "trapcode 3d stroke" is a 2d layer, and the "effect of shadow" makes a flat shadow behind the strokes. And as a result there is no feeling of deepness.

I Know what you´re saying. You shuold then apply the bevel alpha effect. What you call reflection are just some more layers with the advanced settings worked. Hope this helped. If not just let me know.

Remember you can use the same comp camera with all the layers. Also remember you can rotate and move the strokes around inthe z axis.

I duplicated the layers moved a little bit to the side and applied some effect like blur or drop shadow.

Ola, si hablo español pero no lo escribo, mejor hacerlo en inglês. Espero que compreendas. I didn´t use any tutorials to get to this, I just played with the 3d stroke parameters a bit. Basically I advice you to test every parameter, and work with very big shape masks, way bigger than the screen size. Play a lot with transform and repeat parameters and to get the circles on the background use the advanced settings. If have any further questions feel free to ask me.
