Btw, when Joe "left congress" that "$155 billion surplus" was a ~projected~ "surplus", that was based solely on cherry picking data from an unsustainable economic bubble.
That's not unlike the cheery projections inspired by sub-prime housing market, initiated by the Carter/Clinton then Bush pushed Community Reinvestment Act of 77.
That all helped create the housing based economic bubble that just burst. Causing the current recession turned near depression, by Obama-Pelosi-Reid policies.
You know what, the main problem for this guy is that even if everything he says about the deficit and democrats spending is correct...HOW can he reconcile his point about spending and yet hold the insane republican position of endless spending on wars and the military? Bottom line...he can't, except with some bad fear-mongering about terrorism.
Jeb nailed it, & you're just regurgitating stale Lefty talking points.
We ARE @ war, even if people like you don't think that's justifiably so. Others, more credible, think otherwise & truth is, most Dems in both houses of our congress, voted to go to war.
Also, total military spending is less than 19% of the budget. That spending pays enormous necessary dividends in security, & in domestic economic activity, to the benefit of ALL Americans.
You just can not get jobs or the economy moving by throwing billions of dollars we do not have at the problem by creating another set of problems.
Every bill passed recently has had negative job implications written all over it. We do not need another giovernment job-we need producing jobs, paying Americans(Not illegals) enough to live without looking to the government.

That's the real "bottom line".

Obama's media mouthpieces seem a bit peeved at all that logic and fact.
