The Route Master was an all British design when it came out many years ago and is well respected for the work that it did by both bus crews and passengers alike.This new bus is typically British so lets see what its appeal will be in service. I think that whilst it is seriously different people will say in many years to come that it was a good design.On a lighter note.Should there be an accident with one of these buses,let us hope that the driver wasn't upstairs collecting the fares at the time.

Being a Londoner I find it disgraceful that the bus fares are going up above inflation rate. In the old days I use to be able to afford traveling the tube but not any more as it is way to expensive. Bus fares are also heading that direction and as someone working on a minimum wage I am struggling to afford the cost of travel. It is about time we Londoner get together and demonstrate as often as possible outside the mayor's office that we can't live beyond our means.

Anyhow 80 passengers at 12 stones each (fairly light nowadays with all these burgers around) is 6 tons of people - not much opportunity for weight saving then? By the way, I sit upstairs because all the seats downstairs are so bloody uncomfortable! (Except for the four disabled seats and two of those are right next to the bloody door!).

It was never designed for that and the chemical toilet gets sloshed around and makes foul smells.
