Can a vegan develop cancer? Yes, but 100 people on a typical vegan diet would experience less morbidity and mortality than 100 on a standard American diet. Plant-based diets are beneficial to humans, not just animals. Better health: check. Animal agriculture=green house gases (United Nations, 2006), dangerous occupation > harms & exploits workers (Chicken, Striffler; Slaughterhouse, Eisnitz), 76 million food poisonings and 5,000 yearly deaths (CDC). It's so annoying when everyone thinks vegans are out to change your beliefs. It's a PERSONAL lifestyle choice and I don't push it on anyone. I only ever talk about it when someone asks me.
I do not believe it is personal as eating animal products has obviously to do with the non-animals that are eaten and exploited.
It's like saying that beating your wife is a personal lifestyle.
When you are opposed to the fact of beating a person, you want others to stop that, because it hurt the beaten. It is, or at least is supposed to be, the same thing with veganism. I am not vegan for taste reasons, but for ethical reasons.
@Danquebec01 That was no a very good analogy. Beating your wife is not a " personal lifestyle choice". I am friends with people who eat meat and I don't make them feel terrible about it. However, I would never be friends with someone who beat their wife. Being a vegan is something that is a personal decision you can't make for anyone else. Of course you hope that others will join you, but you can't force them to.
I am also friend with people who eat meat, just as I would be friend with people who beat their wife if virtually everyone and it was consider normal and natural. If I would not be friend with them and attack them on their choices, I would make no progress against this behaviour.
In a world where more than 99% of people were vegan, meat-eating would be considered as a crime. Meat-eaters, when discovered, would lose their friends. It would be a shame for them.
And I don't want to force them. All I want to say it is that we shouldn't call that a personal choice, first because it is not true, it is not personal because it is directly linked with the fate of that pork depending on if you eat him or not. Also, calling it a personal choice make peoples who eat animal product stop thinking about it, they say themselves it is only a taste choice or something like that, rather than a political, ethical, choice.
@AmberGheni Beating your wife or not is not a personal decision? Sorry but myself I took the decision not to beat up my girlfriend. Instead I decided to treat her right. It's the same thing with animals, you decide to eat them or not. Everything we do come down to making a personal choice but that doesn't mean all choice available are right.
well e.g. making it possible that you're eating your overproduced food therefore millions of square miles of the rainforest are getting cut down so your food has something to eat by itself. but yeah the main problem is that cows are farting .. thats just ridiculous. but i know it's seemingly by far easier to let everything remain unaffected than to change something in somebodys life (for the better for one's life and also the world as a whole)
I love how veganism is associated with nature, beauty, animals. To all the people who dislike veganism I say... what is wrong with this picture? Is it really wrong to cherish and love the environment?
there wouldn't be too many cows, because we would stop fastraising them...thats a horrible reason to pollute the world, poison food, over populate animals, feed them foods that turn their stomachs into diseased filled sacks, abuse them, promote illegals to work in the factories, make the world obese, unhealthy... i could go on, but i think ive made my point too =)
@TheJessichris86 no there would be too many cows, my cousins hunt they say that wen hunting is banned the deer population grows to big and they starve, its the circle of life mate dont disrupt it
@TheJessichris86 well you see the fact of the matter is that everyone says cows pollute the earth well plants fix that pollution so vegans/vegitarians are destroying the earth because while i eat the problem you eat the solution hmmmmmmm i bet you drive a hybrid haha what a joke just look up what the carbon foot print of that car is just to make its triple what a normal vehicle is plus it is one of the vehicles with the most copper in the world so ya people who drive those destroy the earth
why is everyone saying that vegans are trying to shove things down your throats, on tv what do you see, meat products being advertised , in supermarkets they are promoting and advertising meat, even on billboards they are advertising meat! rarely, very rarely will you see something advertising vegan products.
@shazpie they are shoving this down our throats, if you sell a product isnt it normal to advertise it? ive seen plenty of ads for salads... and also meat producers dont rally a bunch of retards to go picket in front of the butcher shop where i work, which makes my life harder cos we are losing clients... stop acting innocent...
@denflamingant why are you watching this if you don't like it!
Well the tv that i watch NEVER and i mean never has any advertising for vegan products, yet there's plenty of meat promoting advertisement out there. maybe that's a good thing that your loosing clients. people will realize soon enough how bad it is not only for your health but for the environment when eating and animal based diet.
@shazpie over here they have plenty of fruit ads, ads for vegetarian diets (not vegan diet but still vegetarian) .. and i just stumbled across this video, then just had to leave a reply on your ignorant bullshit. and thanks alot by the way "maybe that's a good thing that your loosing clients" very classy of you,, and its not just butchers, its also transport, factories, restaurants that you think its GOOD that they lose their jobs. but then again, you care more about a fucking animal
@shazpie acually you guys are the one trying to "take down" the meat industry and plus you all think you are holier than though so yah you guys are trying to change everyone to your belief system and i know i am a farmer and i have dealt with stupid ass vegans
@shazpie I definitely agree. I see stuff for Morningstar Farms advertised somewhat in Kroger....but it's usually the lacto-vegetarian stuff, not the vegan stuff. Ah well. What a world. :)
@shazpie Yes, the vast majority of vegans are "live and let live" types regarding other people. They're generally pacifist in demeanor.
On the other hand, there's the small minority who do get in people's faces, and I would say justifiably so. These are the "live and let live" with regards to all life, not just humans. If you see injustice towards humans, do you say nothing? Wouldn't you shove it down people's throats?
That said, to each his or her own. I think the movement needs all kinds.
@EmperorFishFinger You were talking about adverts. quote "meat advertisements aren't calling people immoral soulless murderers". nor are vegan adverts. They are running a business, it wouldn't be in their interests to insult potential customers.
No kidding. I am the only non-meat eating person in my group of friends. One guy claims he's a vegetarian but still eats fish, but of course that is utter B.S. Pescatarian? Yes. Vegetarian? No. If I was shoving my ideals down all the throats of my friends -- and boyfriend -- who eat meat I very soon wouldn't have any.
As for the idea that vegans shove their values down the throats of others, those who do that do it for the same reasons that liberals, conservatives, and devout religious people do it: because they feel passionately about what they believe in. I do not shove my values down throast. However, I have come by plenty of omnivores who react to it by calling me a freak (seriously!) or immediately going on the defensive ( "SORRY BUT I LIKE STEAK.") No matter what "side" you're on, people are people.
Meat is on the food pyramid as an example of protein. You can get the recommended amount of protein necessary from a tablespoon of peanut butter. It's similar to the dairy section of the pyramid, where cheese, milk, and yogurt are all listed -- this doesn't mean you have to eat all three of those, it means that any three of them contains a nutrient that your body needs. However there are other options if one is lactose-intolerant, or abstains from dairy products for other reasons.
I am trying to be respectfull as well but how come vegans are the only ones trying to shove ideals down everyones througts? Omnivorism has never pressed the issue that eating meat is good for you. I mean for god's sake its on the damned food guide pyrimid, thats gotta count for something!!!!!!!!!!
@Tharagus) why are saying that vegans are trying to shove things down your throats, on tv what do you see, meat products being advertised , in supermarkets they are promoting and advertising meat, even on billboards they are advertising meat! rarely, very rarely will you see something advertising vegan products.
I definitely love how respectful you're being. Thanks for being respectful about the vegan lifestyle and choices. To answer your question: animals eat other animals because it is in their instincts and they have no concept of morality or murder. Some vegans believe that despite this fact, the animals in question have the same right to live on the planet, cruelty-free, that we do, because they did not choose their life, just like we did not choose ours.
Actually some of us vegans are not trying to shove anything down anyone's throat, it's all about personal choice, but if people shoving things on you bothers you think about the billions of dollars of marketing the corporate farmers sped forcing you to eat their hormone, antibiotic, and ammonia washed beef. Just food for thought...PS i HAVE A LOT OF FRIENDS WHO EAT MEAT AND RESPECT AND LOVE THEM ALL.
@millionunion Actually im vegitarian, and never tried to force ideas to people, its usually the other way, i usually get oh im gna force u to eat meat sometimes, and this is my friends saing these things, but if i have the chance to i will support vegan/ vegitarian (i have mabeth shoes) but i dont personally press my ideas on other people even though they do theres, and i dno any vegitarians that do...
i'm not downing vegans or anything, i own macbeth shoes(awesome), but there are nutrients in meat and dairy products and it is part of a balanced diet, i understand you wanna protect the earth, but if you see humans and animals as equal, then why do some animals, such as lions, eat other animals like gazzelles. i understand its a lifestyle choice and i respect that, but it's the circle of life food chain that proves it doesn't hurt to eat meat/dairy.
Shhoohooo I became a vegan yesterday :D I have been a vegitarian for two years before. Enviorment is my main reson, the freaking cows is the Biggest source of global warming there is.
As I said in my previous comment cow breading is the biggest source to globalwarming, so if I as a vegan doesn't eat beef or drink milk I will help the inviorment by the fact that there will not have to be as many cows as if I was a omnivorous. Ofcourse I do other stuff for the inviorment to...! The reason I just became a vegan after being a vegitarian is because of my parents who are not fans of my conviction doesnt understand why I have to have special food.

Vegan and vegetarian are the same thing, yet you said you've been one for years but became one a few days ago. Invironment isn't a word. Have you considered the detrimental effects agriculture causes? Draining our fresh water supply, eutrophication, and I bet you've never heard of Monsanto?
To make you happy we can call me a former Ovo-lakto-vegetarian. I cant spell, I actually have a form of dyslexia. Where I live, our water supply isnt an issue and when it comes to eutrophication I only by products that are eco-friendly. I also have to say that recording to an Fnrapport made in 2007, 1kg beef requires 15000l of water in contrast to 1kg vegetabila needing 400-3000l water, also a cow has to eat 100kg vegetabila to make 1kg beef, that is a excessive waste of recourses and space.
im vegan too, i believe in you, they waste vegetables and water, but when i read what i just wrote, and what u wrote, it sounds like we should'nt feed the cows vegetables!! NO THAT'S NOT WHAT WE MEAN!!!! FEED THEM, DONT EAT THEM!!!! CARE FOR ANIMALS!!!!!
You fool! So what? It's true that it's impossible not to have any effect on the environment. But is it a reason not to try to limit it, as much as we can? I hope your kids will thank you!

You Fool! So What? It's true vegans are uptight pricks who have grudges to omnivores. But is that reason to go around raining on our parade? LeArN tO sPeAk english! You fool! FAIL
Aren't you able to argue better than this? And for your information i'm french. When u'll be able to speak in french as i speak english, please come back!
lol that's what i thought: you're a fucking retard, you do not have any argument to justify your acts. The only thing that your able to say is "faggot". Go buy a brain! There are too much stupid people like you and too much suffering because of people like you, who never THINK. Fuck you.
lol that's what i thought: you're a fucking retard, you do not have any argument to justify your acts. The only thing that your able to say is "faggot". Go buy a brain! There are too much stupid people like you and too much suffering because of people like you, who never THINK. Fuck you.
I agree that "Global Worming" is a fraud but actually veganism is a healthier choice, and no they do not push it to get people malnourished, right now people are malnourished eating toxic meat and dairy that's been scientifically proven to cause several types of cancer and more. You don't have to believe me, do your own research.
Use sources like American Health Association, British Health Journal and many others are not even Corporate / Gov sponsored.
I don't disagree that the way Most meat and dairy products are produced and processed Today is in any way healthy, and while vegan diet may be benefical, I don't think at this point (however uninformed I may be) that it's the solution in the long run, but I've been meaning to do some research indeed.
I watched the video and did some research and i found out this guy is a conspiracy theorist and has no clue about veganism / vegetarianism / nutrition / health. I'm not saying the conspiracy is just a theory but these guys are wrong about our diet, we do not have any deficiency and we live healthier.
Do you mean the actual vegan society or turn the society into vegans, i didn't really get that.
So if it's the second one - nobody wants that, one of the biggest proofs is that if you go to your doctor and tell him you're thinking becoming a vegan he will definitely tell you that's not a good choice and all that crap how you wont get enough protein/vitamins/minerals etc. I went through that couple years ago..and if you refer to the actual vegan society, then you should go to their website.
I didn't watch the whole video, i watched the first part and then i paused it because the guy was talking nonsense. Tell me how exactly the "controllers" want to turn everyone into a vegan "at all cost" please?
Okay I heard what this guy had to say and yeah it's a complete BS. First he brought India as an example, which was totally against what he's trying to prove because not only people there live MUCH longer than people in the states for example, but they also never heard of some of the diseases we get here and around the world. The second thing he talked about was GMO, yeah that was true, Corn, Canola and Soy especially, but that can't be an argument too, because most vegans eat organic.[continues]
He mentioned something about malnourished people, not getting their "vital amino acids" that's of course - wrong. There's 9 amino acids the body can't "makes itself" and they're found in legumes, nuts and seeds. There's also fruits and vegetables containing high amount of protein. I don't know how you could trust Alex Jones talking about health and nutrition when he's obese and don't know shit about nutrition. And that guy is a douche. (Alan Watt)
Okay i feel like I'm wasting my time with you, "the controllers" DON'T want you to be a vegan/vegetarian, eating healthy and NOT being sick, MORE SICK people MORE MONEY. This guy never said HOW "the controllers" are making us turn into vegetarians, the thing he said, quoting some guy, is out of context so i can't really say what this guy meant, but I'm pretty sure that the pharmaceutical companies don't want us to be HEALTHY therefor they wouldn't suggest that we eliminate the meat/dairy.
Oh wow. For the first thirty seconds of the video, I was like, "Oh, so now even my vegan brethren are resorting to happy, awe-inspiring images to convince people. This is no better than a Nike commercial with some guy running up animated stairs." Then I realized, "Wait, how can someone pluck an entire species from here and start eating it." Well played, my brothers. Well played.
Every time I bend down to pick something up, I find it is connected to something else. -- John Muir 1838-1914
There is an equivalent "ecology" to our behavior. Everything we do connects to something else; every action touches on the world around us, either close at hand and noticeable, or far away and unperceived, immediate in its effect or distant in time.
If going vegan is influenced by world problems like overconsumption and endangering of animals then you might want to consider another reason
If you want to help the planet you can raise your own farm, grow your own plants and eat your own food instead of buying mass-produced food in supermarkets
But it's harder than it sounds, isn't it? The corporate world has taught us in the cities to forget hunting and farming in order to keep us working away from home, relieving us of such responsibilities
i guess i just mean the modern/developed countries are "beYond" it cuz they know they can survive with out animal products & that theres altrnitives. (shush about my spelling lol)
well us having farm animals shows that we are intelligent enough to keep our food sources close by instead of trying to find it. the pig for example, it wouldnt look as cute as it does if we didnt domesticated it. and cows were meant to be domesticated otherwise they would go extinct. and i do love honey ^^
The pig wouldn't look as cute? I wasn't aware it was our job to make animals cute.
Cows NEED to be domesticated? I'm most curious as to how they were able to survive before our involvement. If you're going to go into a point, counter-point discussion, you'll need to come up with some better material.
"The pig wouldn't look as cute? I wasn't aware it was our job to make animals cute" It's not, but it seems like that's the only animals most animal rights people care about. If the pig was completely ugly lets say like an angler fish, no one would care about it.
And yes, cows NEED to be domesticated. They produce more than enough milk which is why we need to milk them otherwise they will be in pain. Maybe you need to come up with some better material ;)
Since when do cows produce too large of a quantity of milk for it's offspring to consume? Unless you're basing your assumptions on the cows currently being raised in mass numbers. If you take a cow's offspring away from it, inject massive amounts of hormones, which stimulate milk production: yes a cow will produce amazingly large amounts of milk.
Also, about the "appeal" of an animal. A normal person, using their brain, will no doubt see the need for the prevention of extinction of all animals.
"A normal person, using their brain, will no doubt see the need for the prevention of extinction of all animals" Try telling that to PETA supporters. PETA wants to extinct the domestic animal because they feel its a slave for humans.
And no, I'm not basing my "assumptions" on the cows currenting being raised in mass numbers.
You'll find that I'm hardly a PETA supporter. Cows produce enough milk for their offspring, and no more. A cow will produce larger than necessary amounts of milk, if constantly injected with hormones, kept constantly pregnant, or worse yet: both.
A worthy comeback indeed. Well researched...and here I succumb to personal insults. In any case, I believe you've ran out of material my friend. A cow will produce milk all her life (once it reaches adulthood I hope) regardless of being pregnant? Most curious. Now please get off the internet.
" A cow will produce milk all her life (once it reaches adulthood I hope) regardless of being pregnant" EXACTLY! You finally get it. Bravo. Want a cookie to go with your almond milk?
I'll kindly ask you to supply proof for this staggering discovery. We must inform all the line assembly farmers are wasting their money on impregnating their cows, injecting them with hormones, as well as estrogen. The farmers in this country work far too hard for their income as it is, and so we should try to better their lifestyles.
That's where I got my information from. REAL farmers that actually work with cows, unlike someone like you that think they know all about cows just because you see them on a video or tv.
A mammal would have no purpose in wasting bodily resources. Production of milk starts in mammals once the animal is in a pregnant state. Please use your brain. Why would a mammal make milk if no one would consume it? Please find me a single article stating that a heifer is producing milk. I don't think I've ever met a person so stubborn and yet so wrong. Usually you guys just go out with profane insults. However, you've chosen the elongated path to embarrassment. Well, I hope you enjoy it.
"I don't think I've ever met a person so stubborn and yet so wrong" Me either. Cows are very unique animals. They produce more than enough milk for their calves, which is why they need to be milked. Are you that stubborn/brainwashed? Must be.
A cow will produce large amounts of milk over its lifetime. Certain breeds produce more milk than others; however, different breeds produce within a range of around 4,000 to over 10,000 kg of milk per annum. The average for dairy cows in the US in 2005 was 8,800 kg (19,576 pounds).
"we need to milk them otherwise they will be in pain"
if thats your mindset, you probably cant tell the difference between surface tension and inertia. cows live in groups. they wouldnt be in pain cause even adult cows will suck milk. are buffalos and zebras in pain?
only 30% of humans suck cows titties. half of the world is lactose intolerant and many simply dont eat any dairy food. there's no cheese in traditional chinese food.
"they wouldnt be in pain cause even adult cows will suck milk." Yet other vegans say NO adult animals continue to drink milk. Nice job on contradicting your fellow vegan pals :).
Many people aren't able to eat/drink the same stuff as everyone else. Many people can die from eating nuts, does that mean its bad to eat? From your logic, it does.
Lmao, I hope your whole family had that so they all die painfully of heart attacks, cancer, diabetes. You're ragging on vegans cause you're completely incapable of escaping from your meat addiction. Meat is the leading cause of heart disease, strokes/heart attacks, diabetes and several different types of cancer. Enjoy it while it lasts because your precious meat source will come back to bite you in the ass. You'll probably end up eating your dead mother out of her grave from craving meat.
Actually I'm really sorry to disappoint you. All my family members have been blessed with very long life spans. We just celebrated my great Grandfathers 102 birthday 2 months ago. So you and your family will be rotting in the grave LONG before mine..Judging by your mentally disturbed comments I'm assuming you are well on your way. Please seek some help.
Just as I guessed you are a PETA freak. How about you and your disgusting spokeswomen Pam actually save some animals instead of killing them. If Pam's appearance is what happens to vegans I feel sorry for you.
PETA has nothing to do with being a vegan. Not all animal rights activists support PETA. So, before you continue flapping your big mouth, go research something and come back with some evidence so we could have a nice, intellectual debate. Otherwise, neither I, nor anyone else who has sense, will support you.
So the first thing you say to me when you come on here is "I hope your whole family had that so they all die painfully of heart attacks, cancer, diabetes." Then you tell me to come up with something intelligent to say? Oh my are you a sad individual. You are no better than a bible thumping christian saying love jesus or you are going to hell. HAHA I do love listening to you fanatics..religious or vegans.
lmao. Vegans can't be classified first of all. They all have different view points and not all go vegan for animal rights. Some go for the sake of being healthy. That's one wrong thing you said. Second, what does a hateful comment have anything to do with being intelligent? Y'know what, don't even respond 'cause I don't even care.
You don't care because you know you are a moron. You come on here trying to act all high and mighty, yet you know in the back of your head you are just an undereducated fool. I feel sorry for you.
if meat is so tasty, why do you have to fry it in vegetable oil, with onion and garlic, put on veggie spices and eat it with veggie sauce? how's the tartar sauce? full of veggies, huh?
people say how tasty meat is and they will nag if there's not enough pepper in it, its not enough salty, not enough chili, or if they run out of ketchup and mayonnaise and a bigger tragedy is if they run out of bread.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Well I don't use vegetable oil to cook my meat, I use Pam. And the only reason I do that is so it doesn't stick. You keep yammering on about veggie spice, veggie sauce blah blah blah but I don't use that so your point is irrelevant. And if you must know my wife loves my erection. Funny thing is my sister-in-laws husband is impotent and he is vegetarian..so once again another irrelevant point. Why do you care about erections anyway considering you are a dike..ps i support abortion as well.

why is everyone saying that vegans are trying to shove things down your throats, on tv what do you see, meat products being advertised , in supermarkets they are promoting and advertising meat, even on billboards they are advertising meat! rarely, very rarely will you see something advertising vegan products.
shazpie 2 years ago 91
@shazpie they are shoving this down our throats, if you sell a product isnt it normal to advertise it? ive seen plenty of ads for salads... and also meat producers dont rally a bunch of retards to go picket in front of the butcher shop where i work, which makes my life harder cos we are losing clients... stop acting innocent...
denflamingant 1 year ago
@denflamingant why are you watching this if you don't like it!
Well the tv that i watch NEVER and i mean never has any advertising for vegan products, yet there's plenty of meat promoting advertisement out there. maybe that's a good thing that your loosing clients. people will realize soon enough how bad it is not only for your health but for the environment when eating and animal based diet.
shazpie 1 year ago
@shazpie over here they have plenty of fruit ads, ads for vegetarian diets (not vegan diet but still vegetarian) .. and i just stumbled across this video, then just had to leave a reply on your ignorant bullshit. and thanks alot by the way "maybe that's a good thing that your loosing clients" very classy of you,, and its not just butchers, its also transport, factories, restaurants that you think its GOOD that they lose their jobs. but then again, you care more about a fucking animal
denflamingant 1 year ago
@shazpie Exactly. Vegans are simply trying to balance out the culture of meat that we are surrounded by every day growing up.

calfropingfordman 1 year ago
@shazpie I definitely agree. I see stuff for Morningstar Farms advertised somewhat in Kroger....but it's usually the lacto-vegetarian stuff, not the vegan stuff. Ah well. What a world. :)
faetrn 1 year ago
@shazpie why do you think that is?
dawagget 1 year ago
@shazpie Yes, the vast majority of vegans are "live and let live" types regarding other people. They're generally pacifist in demeanor.
On the other hand, there's the small minority who do get in people's faces, and I would say justifiably so. These are the "live and let live" with regards to all life, not just humans. If you see injustice towards humans, do you say nothing? Wouldn't you shove it down people's throats?
That said, to each his or her own. I think the movement needs all kinds.

@EmperorFishFinger And where does this advert call meat-eaters soulless immoral murderers?
them000ch 4 months ago
@them000ch
This one doesn't. But many vegans (the ones accused of shoving things down people's throats) do.
EmperorFishFinger 4 months ago
@EmperorFishFinger You were talking about adverts. quote "meat advertisements aren't calling people immoral soulless murderers". nor are vegan adverts. They are running a business, it wouldn't be in their interests to insult potential customers.
them000ch 4 months ago
No kidding. I am the only non-meat eating person in my group of friends. One guy claims he's a vegetarian but still eats fish, but of course that is utter B.S. Pescatarian? Yes. Vegetarian? No. If I was shoving my ideals down all the throats of my friends -- and boyfriend -- who eat meat I very soon wouldn't have any.
millionunion 2 years ago
As for the idea that vegans shove their values down the throats of others, those who do that do it for the same reasons that liberals, conservatives, and devout religious people do it: because they feel passionately about what they believe in. I do not shove my values down throast. However, I have come by plenty of omnivores who react to it by calling me a freak (seriously!) or immediately going on the defensive ( "SORRY BUT I LIKE STEAK.") No matter what "side" you're on, people are people.
millionunion 2 years ago
Meat is on the food pyramid as an example of protein. You can get the recommended amount of protein necessary from a tablespoon of peanut butter. It's similar to the dairy section of the pyramid, where cheese, milk, and yogurt are all listed -- this doesn't mean you have to eat all three of those, it means that any three of them contains a nutrient that your body needs. However there are other options if one is lactose-intolerant, or abstains from dairy products for other reasons.
millionunion 2 years ago
I am trying to be respectfull as well but how come vegans are the only ones trying to shove ideals down everyones througts? Omnivorism has never pressed the issue that eating meat is good for you. I mean for god's sake its on the damned food guide pyrimid, thats gotta count for something!!!!!!!!!!

@Rockstar Wiley:
I definitely love how respectful you're being. Thanks for being respectful about the vegan lifestyle and choices. To answer your question: animals eat other animals because it is in their instincts and they have no concept of morality or murder. Some vegans believe that despite this fact, the animals in question have the same right to live on the planet, cruelty-free, that we do, because they did not choose their life, just like we did not choose ours.
millionunion 2 years ago
Actually some of us vegans are not trying to shove anything down anyone's throat, it's all about personal choice, but if people shoving things on you bothers you think about the billions of dollars of marketing the corporate farmers sped forcing you to eat their hormone, antibiotic, and ammonia washed beef. Just food for thought...PS i HAVE A LOT OF FRIENDS WHO EAT MEAT AND RESPECT AND LOVE THEM ALL.
Trianaw 2 years ago 2

Vegan and vegetarian are the same thing, yet you said you've been one for years but became one a few days ago. Invironment isn't a word. Have you considered the detrimental effects agriculture causes? Draining our fresh water supply, eutrophication, and I bet you've never heard of Monsanto?
TreesOfBaylor 2 years ago
To make you happy we can call me a former Ovo-lakto-vegetarian. I cant spell, I actually have a form of dyslexia. Where I live, our water supply isnt an issue and when it comes to eutrophication I only by products that are eco-friendly. I also have to say that recording to an Fnrapport made in 2007, 1kg beef requires 15000l of water in contrast to 1kg vegetabila needing 400-3000l water, also a cow has to eat 100kg vegetabila to make 1kg beef, that is a excessive waste of recourses and space.

I agree that "Global Worming" is a fraud but actually veganism is a healthier choice, and no they do not push it to get people malnourished, right now people are malnourished eating toxic meat and dairy that's been scientifically proven to cause several types of cancer and more. You don't have to believe me, do your own research.
Use sources like American Health Association, British Health Journal and many others are not even Corporate / Gov sponsored.
finch1s 2 years ago
I don't disagree that the way Most meat and dairy products are produced and processed Today is in any way healthy, and while vegan diet may be benefical, I don't think at this point (however uninformed I may be) that it's the solution in the long run, but I've been meaning to do some research indeed.
conqueringthetube 2 years ago
I watched the video and did some research and i found out this guy is a conspiracy theorist and has no clue about veganism / vegetarianism / nutrition / health. I'm not saying the conspiracy is just a theory but these guys are wrong about our diet, we do not have any deficiency and we live healthier.
finch1s 2 years ago
Alan Watt, for the most part, is not a theorist.
He's read their own books, which he also references on a regular basis on the broadcasts he's on.
Also, why would the conspirators want to create a vegan society at all costs, if not for their own benefit?
conqueringthetube 2 years ago
Do you mean the actual vegan society or turn the society into vegans, i didn't really get that.
So if it's the second one - nobody wants that, one of the biggest proofs is that if you go to your doctor and tell him you're thinking becoming a vegan he will definitely tell you that's not a good choice and all that crap how you wont get enough protein/vitamins/minerals etc. I went through that couple years ago..and if you refer to the actual vegan society, then you should go to their website.
finch1s 2 years ago
Ah yes, turn everyone into vegans, that's what I meant.
conqueringthetube 2 years ago
Cool. Then you're wrong again. Are you convinced that veganism isn't a "scam" and it's healthier yet?

I'm only still wondering why would the controllers want to turn everyone into vegans at all costs, if not for the controllers' own benefit?

But here's the audio-only, the food thing comes in at around 25m20s:
tinyurl com/npl6ka
conqueringthetube 2 years ago
Okay I heard what this guy had to say and yeah it's a complete BS. First he brought India as an example, which was totally against what he's trying to prove because not only people there live MUCH longer than people in the states for example, but they also never heard of some of the diseases we get here and around the world. The second thing he talked about was GMO, yeah that was true, Corn, Canola and Soy especially, but that can't be an argument too, because most vegans eat organic.[continues]
finch1s 2 years ago
[continues] And the meat on the market is toxic.
(Alan Watt)
finch1s 2 years ago
Well fine, but why going ad hominem on them/him then?
And the question about the controllers remains - Why?
conqueringthetube 2 years ago
Okay i feel like I'm wasting my time with you, "the controllers" DON'T want you to be a vegan/vegetarian, eating healthy and NOT being sick, MORE SICK people MORE MONEY. This guy never said HOW "the controllers" are making us turn into vegetarians, the thing he said, quoting some guy, is out of context so i can't really say what this guy meant, but I'm pretty sure that the pharmaceutical companies don't want us to be HEALTHY therefor they wouldn't suggest that we eliminate the meat/dairy.
finch1s 2 years ago
True, they can't do that much until Monsanto has taken over the food world by Law, but once it does "the sky is the limit" :)
But yeah, let's call it a day..

The corporate world has taught us in the cities to forget hunting and farming in order to keep us working away from home, relieving us of such responsibilities

well us having farm animals shows that we are intelligent enough to keep our food sources close by instead of trying to find it. the pig for example, it wouldnt look as cute as it does if we didnt domesticated it. and cows were meant to be domesticated otherwise they would go extinct. and i do love honey ^^
ironman711 3 years ago
The pig wouldn't look as cute? I wasn't aware it was our job to make animals cute.
Cows NEED to be domesticated? I'm most curious as to how they were able to survive before our involvement. If you're going to go into a point, counter-point discussion, you'll need to come up with some better material.
DJownage 2 years ago
"The pig wouldn't look as cute? I wasn't aware it was our job to make animals cute" It's not, but it seems like that's the only animals most animal rights people care about. If the pig was completely ugly lets say like an angler fish, no one would care about it.
And yes, cows NEED to be domesticated. They produce more than enough milk which is why we need to milk them otherwise they will be in pain. Maybe you need to come up with some better material ;)
ironman711 2 years ago
Since when do cows produce too large of a quantity of milk for it's offspring to consume? Unless you're basing your assumptions on the cows currently being raised in mass numbers. If you take a cow's offspring away from it, inject massive amounts of hormones, which stimulate milk production: yes a cow will produce amazingly large amounts of milk.
Also, about the "appeal" of an animal. A normal person, using their brain, will no doubt see the need for the prevention of extinction of all animals.
DJownage 2 years ago 2
"A normal person, using their brain, will no doubt see the need for the prevention of extinction of all animals" Try telling that to PETA supporters. PETA wants to extinct the domestic animal because they feel its a slave for humans.
And no, I'm not basing my "assumptions" on the cows currenting being raised in mass numbers.
ironman711 2 years ago
You'll find that I'm hardly a PETA supporter. Cows produce enough milk for their offspring, and no more. A cow will produce larger than necessary amounts of milk, if constantly injected with hormones, kept constantly pregnant, or worse yet: both.
DJownage 2 years ago
Or none of the above.
ironman711 2 years ago
A worthy comeback indeed. Well researched...and here I succumb to personal insults. In any case, I believe you've ran out of material my friend. A cow will produce milk all her life (once it reaches adulthood I hope) regardless of being pregnant? Most curious. Now please get off the internet.
DJownage 2 years ago
" A cow will produce milk all her life (once it reaches adulthood I hope) regardless of being pregnant" EXACTLY! You finally get it. Bravo. Want a cookie to go with your almond milk?
ironman711 2 years ago
I'll kindly ask you to supply proof for this staggering discovery. We must inform all the line assembly farmers are wasting their money on impregnating their cows, injecting them with hormones, as well as estrogen. The farmers in this country work far too hard for their income as it is, and so we should try to better their lifestyles.
DJownage 2 years ago
That's where I got my information from. REAL farmers that actually work with cows, unlike someone like you that think they know all about cows just because you see them on a video or tv.
ironman711 2 years ago
A mammal would have no purpose in wasting bodily resources. Production of milk starts in mammals once the animal is in a pregnant state. Please use your brain. Why would a mammal make milk if no one would consume it? Please find me a single article stating that a heifer is producing milk. I don't think I've ever met a person so stubborn and yet so wrong. Usually you guys just go out with profane insults. However, you've chosen the elongated path to embarrassment. Well, I hope you enjoy it.
DJownage 2 years ago
"I don't think I've ever met a person so stubborn and yet so wrong" Me either. Cows are very unique animals. They produce more than enough milk for their calves, which is why they need to be milked. Are you that stubborn/brainwashed? Must be.
ironman711 2 years ago
Provide an article and it will be settled. A heifer does not produce milk. Period.
DJownage 2 years ago
A cow will produce large amounts of milk over its lifetime. Certain breeds produce more milk than others; however, different breeds produce within a range of around 4,000 to over 10,000 kg of milk per annum. The average for dairy cows in the US in 2005 was 8,800 kg (19,576 pounds).
ironman711 2 years ago
You were asked to provide evidence of a heifer producing milk, and you fetch me a useless list of the quantities of milk that a cow can produce.
DJownage 2 years ago
"we need to milk them otherwise they will be in pain"
if thats your mindset, you probably cant tell the difference between surface tension and inertia. cows live in groups. they wouldnt be in pain cause even adult cows will suck milk. are buffalos and zebras in pain?
only 30% of humans suck cows titties. half of the world is lactose intolerant and many simply dont eat any dairy food. there's no cheese in traditional chinese food.
btw cows milk is causing osteoporosis in humans.
HolySpringRolls 2 years ago
"they wouldnt be in pain cause even adult cows will suck milk." Yet other vegans say NO adult animals continue to drink milk. Nice job on contradicting your fellow vegan pals :).
Many people aren't able to eat/drink the same stuff as everyone else. Many people can die from eating nuts, does that mean its bad to eat? From your logic, it does.
And osteoporosis is caused by alcohol, not milk.

Meat is the leading cause of heart disease, strokes/heart attacks, diabetes and several different types of cancer. PETA has nothing to do with being a vegan. Not all animal rights activists support PETA.

You have serious mental problems to wish such things upon another human being. You do not deserve to live in a functioning society.

if meat is so tasty, why do you have to fry it in vegetable oil, with onion and garlic, put on veggie spices and eat it with veggie sauce? how's the tartar sauce? full of veggies, huh?
people say how tasty meat is and they will nag if there's not enough pepper in it, its not enough salty, not enough chili, or if they run out of ketchup and mayonnaise and a bigger tragedy is if they run out of bread.
btw how's erection? increased fat consumption results in clogged blood vessels.
