They were tiny and I bottle fed each one 3x a day and now they are big and strong and happy. A good friend adopted one and I have the remaining 3 of the litter. There are happy endings too!

What does having a terminal illness have to do with spaying or neutering animals? This was a sad video, no doubt, but I don't get what this has to do with fixing animals. Making that connection is like saying we should fix humans so that they don't produce "abnormal babies".

You show us this precious little life that was tragically ended far before it's time, and then basically say that little Tater Tot should never have been born in the first place! Then why get us attached to him by showing us his story?? The poor baby... God bless him.

Some people are dumb enough to allow their pets to have at least one litter. Then they're shocked when friends and neighbors don't want the babies. I'll be blunt: Kittens (and puppies) just as cute as Tater Tot come into high kill shelters and IMMEDIATELY euthanized for lack of space. Don't be selfish. Spay your pets. Period! Oh, & God doesn't visit shelters.

@cybersleuth58 I am a champion for spaying myself, but that doesn't mean I agree with demeaning the life that has been created regardless of whether or not this world wanted it. He was born, therefore he still deserved to live, and it is incredibly disrespectful and pointlessly painful to use his story this way. This does not make me want to share it because it will teach someone a lesson. This makes me want to get the message out a better way, and let Tater Tot rest peacefully.

@sneakysnake90: I respect your point. But, everyone's a critic! These guys are doing what they can to raise awareness. How easy it is to criticize what others do! Put your money where your mouth is. This video doesn't do the job? Show us yours! Can you do more than complain? At the end of the day, even if the message isn't quite as you would want it to be, at least they're trying.

I hand raised a kitten who ended up having to have an eye taken out, only adopt my pets, have rescued numerous animals and make sure they have all been spayed and neutered. I'm also training to become a vet tech and later a veterinarian. So I'm sorry, who needs to put their money where their mouth is??

@sneakysnake90: (I have 6 rescue pets & fostered many others. I offer free legal help to shelters. I have always neutered my pets). I respect your efforts. But you miss my point. Videos, like PSA's, educate about issues like pet overpopulation, world hunger, AIDS, etc. It's easy to play arm chair quarterback. At least this person is trying! Make a better video if you don't think this one works. Don't waste your creative juices by complaining... Do one better. THAT was my point.

their cuteness makes me reflect on how special life is....but, if we're to neuter the animals, that will make them not feel like having sex anymore.... and also make them incapable of making new kids, both of which are 2 of lifes greatest gifts!? .. id rather someone invent kitty condoms or something. In my country, we do not cry over dead kittens on video. We have human children dying in streets of town. But we are cannot neuter all whores. They refuse! And run away, very fast! So more babies in snowbank every spring we find. Is very sad. Thank you.

So cute, poor thing. I have two cats one is full grown the other is a kitten. Both are girls. My oldest Pepper she had a litter and they were all so cute. One of them though had climb in the heater and got her tail burnt. I made sure it was okay. But seriously it made me sad to think it almost died. So rest it peace Tot.

i have had my cat have kittens so many times were trying to get her fixed but sadly she has a respitory problem so were gonna have to give it a shot and please every body pray for isis so shell come out ok we cannot get rid of this wild cats becuase all cats need to be ok where they are but we do not want to get rid of him because hes like family to us even though hes wild but i will pray for tator tot every chance i have to rest in peace amon to tator tot ill tell all my friends

that is very sad...I also have a cat which i found in a waste-basket....he was only 2 weeks old....i took him and took care of him and now he is big and strong and i love him very much....i don't know who could do such a thing as throwing him in a garbage......they are the animals

my tabby cat i had was 4 weeks old when it died because it got rejected by its mother because it was so small and died in my arms. i also had a ginger cat some of you may laugh at this it was up at the top of the stairs then it tripped over my sisters shoes and fell down the stairs and broke his neck whilst having a fit bleeding everywhere all at the end of the stairs R.I.P ginge

I think that I would let my cat have one litter, make sure they are given away to happy homes and then get them fixed. But yeah, if someone doesn't know how to take care of their pet and is causing things like this to happen, they should never have been given the responsibility in the first place.
