Hand Feeding West Tennessee Hummingbirds 9/15/07

They usually return around the first of April in this area, but I've seen the first one as early as the end of March a few times.

also it appears they are all females. maybe thats why the dont fight

They are not all females. There are many immature males and females in this video as well. Juvenile male Ruby-throated hummingbirds do not have red gorgets on their throats.

usually they would be very territorial, but i guess since there are so many of them, they just swoop in and eat instead of fighting
