They usually return around the first of April in this area, but I've seen the first one as early as the end of March a few times.

They are not all females. There are many immature males and females in this video as well. Juvenile male Ruby-throated hummingbirds do not have red gorgets on their throats.

i have never seen so many hummers in one place
usually they would be very territorial, but i guess since there are so many of them, they just swoop in and eat instead of fighting

My Parents have only 4 feeders out and get this many in Upstate NY the sound is so cool and they are fantastic to watch

Had one injured was gonna keep it try to do sumthin with it help it or wat not but my grandad got a hold of it a set it free and it flew under a shed never to be seen again!
