Will someone please post a video for the game at camerson that same year? That game was awesome and a game I will never forget. UNC BLEW a 17pt lead in the second half while choking on the bone.
I'm one of the biggest Carolina fans out there but I'll be the first to admit the Smith Center has gone downhill from then just not as crazy even for the 09' team
@bonzie1645 it is better than that if they had stayed ONE more year that would have been the line up; Stackhouse/Wallace left after the 94-95 season; Jamison/Carter freshman season was 95-96
I'm a Heels fan so you know I'm loving this stuff (especially this year). Duke has just as many highlights for their fans from this rivalry. Hands down, there's nothing like it in college basketball. Go Heels!!!
The funny thing is the foul that was called @ 1:30. Wow!!! Thats how you foul a guy out. UNC can't get any love against duke, even in their own building?
IF ED AND VINCE would have connected off the back board..it would have been the greastest play in unc vs duke history...it is still up there! The DEAN Dome is actually loud for a change..lets go Carolina, beat DUKE!
Stuart Scott is a native of central NC and was in a frat while at UNC (in fact, many broadcasters are Greeks). So if anybody knows what they're talking about when it comes to the UNC-Duke rivalry, it's him.
Also, the two schools are so close that the social circles must overlap eventually, and everyone knows that star athletes put out. Stu's conclusion is spot-on, even though it's taboo to talk about.
And man, it's weird not to hear music under a Sportscenter highlight.
Antwan was one of the most dominant college basketball players I have ever seen. The most unstoppable floater which he doesn't use often in the NBA for some reason.
Even back then was a glass eye? I read he had an injury in 2002 Jets camp from a ball release machine the receivers use. Just wondering if he had any vision out of that eye at the time of this broadcast?
Yes, he does have a glass eye. Injured it to an additional extent I believe in a 2002 N.Y. Jets training camp incident in which a football struck him in the eye.
These were the best teams in '98, hands down! Although the Kentucky Wildcats won it all that year. college wasn't the same after the late 90's era. Its back now as of '07...

Being a Tarheels fan it's hard to see what the Dean Dome has turned into. Just isn't the same. We miss you Dean Smith.

@BCEagle73 You mean 1994 through 2000, when the SEC featured different 8 Final Four teams and three national champions?

So, what is the Calipari Curse?
Missed free throws.
When the game is on the line, when the heat is turned up, you can count on any team Calipari is coaching to miss free throws.
Beware the missed free throws...

While the 3 was big, if Vince would've finished that dunk, the Dean Dome would've erupted like never before.

You can see his left eye is better here before his 2002 accident. Not sure how much vision he has out of it now. Tough break.
