  • Will someone please post a video for the game at camerson that same year? That game was awesome and a game I will never forget. UNC BLEW a 17pt lead in the second half while choking on the bone.

  • Stuwey...your tha bomb....the only 3 people that didnt like this video...You guessed it...Are puke...I mean Duke fans!

  • LIKE if you yelled at 1:53

  • BOOYAHHH

  • old school stu scott

  • CHECK OUT ULTIMATE INTERACTIVE MAGAZINE 'S FEATURE WITH STUART SCOTT THEUIMAG.COM

  • This was only 13 years ago? Jesus, coulda fooled me. Looks like this was circa-1992, lol.

  • Being a Tarheels fan it's hard to see what the Dean Dome has turned into. Just isn't the same. We miss you Dean Smith.

  • I'm one of the biggest Carolina fans out there but I'll be the first to admit the Smith Center has gone downhill from then just not as crazy even for the 09' team

  • @KRBTarheel10 IT IS ALWAYS GOING TO BE THAT WAY UNTIL YOU GET THE STUDENTS CLOSE TO THE COURT!!!

  • imagine if sheed and stack stayed for two more years at carolina, this could've been their starting unit:

    c- rasheed wallace

    f- antawn jamison

    f- vince carter

    g- jerry stackhouse

    g- ed cota

  • @bonzie1645 it is better than that if they had stayed ONE more year that would have been the line up; Stackhouse/Wallace left after the 94-95 season; Jamison/Carter freshman season was 95-96

  • Damn that would've been an all time highlight dunk if Vince coulda pulled it off.

  • This is when College Basketball was THE ACC.

  • @BCEagle73 You mean 1994 through 2000, when the SEC featured different 8 Final Four teams and three national champions?

  • @ThaddeusMarcum Fuck you douchebag. The SEC is nothing compared to the ACC!

  • I'm a Heels fan so you know I'm loving this stuff (especially this year). Duke has just as many highlights for their fans from this rivalry. Hands down, there's nothing like it in college basketball. Go Heels!!!

  • Everytime I see that missed alleyoop I secretly hope it goes in. Seriously that would have been so sickkkk

  • @jibbers0 do u think he might have broke atleast the rim maybe

  • God Antawn's game was mud in College!

  • The funny thing is the foul that was called @ 1:30. Wow!!! Thats how you foul a guy out. UNC can't get any love against duke, even in their own building?

  • Its weird hearing him speak so intelligently

now they have him talking like he was raised in the projects

  • im the BIGGEST DUKE FAN IN THE WORLD but that almost dunk by carter was AWESOME!!!

  • UNC Lakers what a great year for Basketball

  • I can't stand stuart scott he's like a white guy that tries to act black

  • Stu Scott is terrific.

  • I like the romantic music.

  • So, what is the Calipari Curse?

    Missed free throws.

When the game is on the line, when the heat is turned up, you can count on any team Calipari is coaching to miss free throws.

    Beware the missed free throws...

  • I HATE stuart scott.

  • the music in the backround is like 80's porn music!

  • While the 3 was big, if Vince would've finished that dunk, the Dean Dome would've erupted like never before.

  • IF ED AND VINCE would have connected off the back board..it would have been the greastest play in unc vs duke history...it is still up there! The DEAN Dome is actually loud for a change..lets go Carolina, beat DUKE!

  • Stuart Scott is a native of central NC and was in a frat while at UNC (in fact, many broadcasters are Greeks). So if anybody knows what they're talking about when it comes to the UNC-Duke rivalry, it's him.

Also, the two schools are so close that the social circles must overlap eventually, and everyone knows that star athletes put out. Stu's conclusion is spot-on, even though it's taboo to talk about.

And man, it's weird not to hear music under a Sportscenter highlight.

  • antawn jamison and vince carter on da same college team. Damn they must have trashed

  • ya and they still didnt win the championship, cause utah somehow beat us...

  • if rasheed wallace and stackhouse had stayed at unc they wouldve played with jamison and carter.

  • wow

  • prolly the best squad in north carolina history or deffinitely one of the best

  • Antwan was one of the most dominant college basketball players I have ever seen. The most unstoppable floater which he doesn't use often in the NBA for some reason.

  • spelled antawn........ He used it as a small foward but does not use it as a power foward.

  • I havent heard the name "Cota" in years. He was an assist monster.

  • damn.35 points and 11 rebounds.antawn jamison was a fucking monster

  • those were some good college teams back then.

  • stu, what are you talking about???

nobody dates dook girls. dook guys dont even date dook girls.

  • If Vince Could Have Put That Dunk In There, It Would Have Been "The Sickest Dunk" EVA!!!

  • Even back then was a glass eye? I read he had an injury in 2002 Jets camp from a ball release machine the receivers use. Just wondering if he had any vision out of that eye at the time of this broadcast?

  • You can see his left eye is better here before his 2002 accident. Not sure how much vision he has out of it now. Tough break.

  • its glass...

  • what is wrong with his eye anyway? is it a glass eyeball or what?

  • Yes, he does have a glass eye. Injured it to an additional extent I believe in a 2002 N.Y. Jets training camp incident in which a football struck him in the eye.

  • unc!!!! fuke duke

  • i dont possibly see to this day how that was a foul on ndiaye when he tripped over battier's weirdly shaped head.

  • retro sportcenter

  • These were the best teams in '98, hands down! Although the Kentucky Wildcats won it all that year. college wasn't the same after the late 90's era. Its back now as of '07...

  • wow, i didnt know that one game proves what team is better.

unc was the best team in the country that year, bar none.

  • they had the best starting line up that year with cota, williams, carter, and jamison but they lost to teams that took advantage of their lack of depth.

I loved watching them that year tho

  • maybe the most telented but they were lazy
