well, treyarch wanted import more realism into black ops. thats why you cant ADS with a sniper rifle as fast as an assult rifle. if you ADS with both, you will find that looking into the scope can take a bit of time to adjust so you can see clearly.

People can aim down the site of an assault rifle or SMG quickly, well that is quite realistic and you're more than likely going to kill or wound someone. The reason why soldiers dont quick or no scope with a sniper rifle is because its near impossible to bring it up, aim and score a hit. Point of sniping is to stay well hidden, take your time over a shot, not to sprint and bring the rifle up and aim and kill...thats not very realistic. Not aiming to insult or have a go. My friend showed me how he thought people were doing so well with no scoping on mw2 and i believe its how so many were so called good at it. Understand something on commentaries you never see the screen or monitor, just the vid with audio commentary. People actually put tape or something small over where the crosshairs are on the scope then presto!! quick left right tap, whalaa! No Scope!
