So regardless of your feelings towards israel, you must accept that THIS time, israel was right, and the lebanese were wrong. There is a bit of hyperbole in my post, yes -- but not all that much. Commentary along the lines of that of halperinko are quickly becoming the norm, not the exception.
As for obsessions with bloodline purity, one has to go no further than the words and actions of Eli Yishai. Mind you, the Israeli right are hardly unique in this regard -- social conservatives has been obsessed with notions of ethnic and religious purity elsewhere for ages.

UN is a useless "force", instead of keeping the peace they pass on information so Lebanese army can come with Media to a Planned attack.
UN "peace keepers" just stand by and look, while the lebanese army prepares for an attack, within a demilitarized zone.
Next time this area need to be cleared for security reasons, israel should use Napalm - like the Americans do - and let the UN forces watch.
UN is one big politically biased organization with NO teeth.

it's obvious there were just there to fix the fence, and they were still in israeli territory.
Lebanon had no right to shoot at them.
